Chapter 146: Chapter 146: New Chairman

When Wang Lei and the others saw Qin Tuo sitting in the most important seat, they were stunned.

When they came to their senses a moment later, their faces twisted with rage.

Wang Lei, in particular, was so furious that he stormed forward and began to curse.

"Qin Tuo, you shameless bastard! What right do you have to sit there? Scram and remember your place!"

All the other members of the sales department chimed in, hurling insults as well.

Feng Ling, in particular, pointed a finger right in Qin Tuo’s face and cursed him viciously.

"Qin Tuo, you’ve been fired! What right do you have to even be in this company? And you have the gall to sit in a seat like that? We’re all ashamed to have ever been your colleague!"

"Exactly! This guy is just asking for a beating. Where’s security? Someone call them and get him thrown out!"

"Heh, don’t worry. He’ll find out soon enough just how pathetic his end will be."

The group jeered, eagerly waiting to see him make a fool of himself.

They knew that once the meeting started, Qin Tuo was in for a world of hurt.

Faced with their taunts, Qin Tuo replied leisurely,

"Oh? And why can’t I sit here?"

Every member of the sales department erupted in laughter.

They looked at Qin Tuo as if he were a clown.

"Qin Tuo, I’ll ask you one last time, are you leaving or not?"

Wang Lei threatened, gritting his teeth.

Qin Tuo retorted.

"I’m not leaving. What about it?"

Wang Lei nodded, smirking.

"Fine. If you don’t leave now, I’ll have someone make you!"

Wang Lei wanted to make a good impression on Chen Man Ni, who would be arriving shortly.

Qin Tuo’s behavior, however, would undoubtedly leave a bad impression on her.

It would tarnish the reputation of the entire sales department.

That’s why Wang Lei was so desperate to get rid of Qin Tuo immediately.

But Qin Tuo just let out a cold laugh.

"You think a little threat like that is going to scare me?"

Seeing Qin Tuo’s completely fearless and unyielding demeanor, Wang Lei was livid.

He bellowed,

"Listen up, everyone! Throw this punk out! I’ll take full responsibility for whatever happens!"

The sales department members nodded in agreement, ready to move in and drag him out.

However, at that moment, Zhou Kexin quickly stepped forward to stop them.

"Everyone, calm down! Let me talk to him."

Zhou Kexin said with a wry smile.

Since it was Zhou Kexin who spoke, everyone gave her some deference and held back.

Zhou Kexin walked up to Qin Tuo with a serious expression and said,

"Qin Tuo, please, just listen to me and leave the conference room. This isn’t a place for you to be."

But Qin Tuo’s reply was nonchalant.

"I’m staying here today. Let’s see who can make me leave."

Seeing his attitude, Zhou Kexin was getting angry too.

She said coldly,

"Qin Tuo, if you don’t leave now, Chairman Chen will have security throw you out when she gets here. You’ll regret it then!"

However, Qin Tuo just smiled and replied,

"Don’t worry. Chairman Chen wouldn’t do that."

At that, everyone burst out laughing.

"Qin Tuo, who do you think you are? That Chairman Chen has to be polite to you?"

"Exactly! Give this guy an inch and he’ll take a mile. He really thinks he’s somebody."

But Qin Tuo remained completely unfazed, treating their words as if they were nothing but air.

Seeing that Qin Tuo wouldn’t listen to reason no matter what she said, Zhou Kexin started to lose her temper.

"Hmph, Qin Tuo! Fine, have it your way. But don’t blame me later for not trying to warn you."

Zhou Kexin huffed, stood to the side, and ignored him.

The time of Chen Man Ni’s arrival was drawing near.

Feng Ling suddenly stepped forward, fanning the flames.

"Manager Wang, this guy Qin Tuo is definitely doing this on purpose! He’s trying to get in the way and make Chairman Chen angry, to sabotage your promotion!"

Feng Ling’s words struck a nerve, and Wang Lei could no longer sit still.

His face turned ashen, and he immediately gritted his teeth and said,

"Alright everyone, get this punk out of my sight!"

’He was panicking. If Feng Ling was right and this ruined his promotion to general manager, he would regret it for the rest of his life.’

Now, he looked at Qin Tuo as if he were his mortal enemy!

A group of sales department employees rolled up their sleeves, preparing to use brute force to throw Qin Tuo out.

But just then, the door suddenly opened.

Chen Man Ni walked in first, followed by a group of executives.

Seeing the chaotic scene, Chen Man Ni immediately frowned and demanded,

"What are you doing?"

Chen Man Ni’s arrival startled everyone, and they froze, not daring to lay a hand on Qin Tuo.

Wang Lei quickly recovered, bowing and scraping as he stepped forward with a smile.

"Chairman Chen, you’re here! It’s like this—we have an idiot in our sales department. He probably can’t accept that he was fired, so he came here specifically to cause trouble."

The other sales employees also chimed in, one after another, bad-mouthing Qin Tuo as they sneered at him.

’Wang Lei was immensely pleased with himself!’

’Qin Tuo, you’ve offended Chairman Chen. Let’s see you get out of this one!’

But Chen Man Ni didn’t get angry. She just asked casually,

"Oh, is that so? Where is this idiot you speak of?"

Wang Lei quickly stepped aside to give her a clear view, pointing a finger at Qin Tuo, who was sitting in the head chair.

"Chairman Chen, look! It’s that guy. He’s refusing to leave. We in the sales department were just about to throw him out so he wouldn’t alarm you!"

Having said his piece, Wang Lei was inwardly gloating, imagining the fate that awaited Qin Tuo.

The other sales employees also wore sneers, waiting to see how Qin Tuo would handle the fallout.

However, no one expected that Chen Man Ni would suddenly slap Wang Lei across the face!

SLAP!

The crisp sound of the slap startled everyone.

Wang Lei was completely stunned by the blow, clutching his face, utterly at a loss.

Chen Man Ni snorted coldly and said,

"Wang Lei, I think you’re the biggest idiot here!"

With that, Chen Man Ni walked directly to the head of the table.

No one knew what was happening, and a sense of unease filled the room.

’Wang Lei, in particular, was overcome with a terrible premonition!’

After everyone was seated, Chen Man Ni announced loudly,

"Effective today, I will be resigning from my position as Chairman!"

Her words sent a shockwave through the room.

’Who will the new chairman be?’

Chen Man Ni’s gaze swept over everyone, then she pointed directly at Qin Tuo and announced in a clear, loud voice,

"I hereby announce that, starting today, the new chairman is Qin Tuo!"

Her words left everyone completely and utterly dumbfounded.
