Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Just in Time
From Zhou Kexin’s perspective, Qin Tuo probably had no idea what the Upper Bay Area even represented.
When Qin Tuo didn’t seem fazed, Zhou Kexin took it upon herself to explain.
"Do you have any idea, Qin Tuo? Only the true upper crust of society is qualified to live in the Upper Bay Area. There aren’t that many people like that in all of Ming City. You claim to live here too? Who’s going to believe that?"
Everyone present nodded, their faces twisting into scornful smirks aimed at Qin Tuo.
Clearly, they all thought Qin Tuo was just putting on an act.
And a pretty pathetic one at that, since he’d been called out on the spot.
Qin Tuo said to Zhou Kexin,
"Of course I know what kind of place the Upper Bay Area is. But I do live here. It’s the truth, whether you believe it or not."
"Keep pretending, you brat! Just keep it up!"
Nearby, Wang Lei gritted his teeth in fury.
The saleswoman, clearly thinking Qin Tuo must be drunk, waved her hand in annoyance.
"Captain, get this guy out of here! We can’t have him disturbing other prospective buyers. That would be a disaster!"

The security captain nodded quickly. His face hardened, and he sneered, "Kid, get in your piece-of-junk car and get out of here. You’re not welcome!"
Qin Tuo retorted,
"Oh? You’re the security captain, and you don’t even know what the homeowners here look like?"
The security captain scoffed,
"You punk, even now you’re still trying to make a scene? Do you want me to get physical?"
But Qin Tuo just said casually,
"I’m surprised. The security at a place like this doesn’t seem very professional."
These words were a direct insult to the security captain’s professionalism.
His face flushed red with rage, and he immediately called over a group of patrolling guards.
"Captain, what is it?"
The guards swarmed over, looking rather intimidating.
The security captain pointed a cold finger at Qin Tuo. "This punk is looking for trouble and won’t listen to reason. Grab him and toss him out!"
"Right, Captain. Don’t worry, leave it to us!"
The patrol guards rushed at Qin Tuo, each with a jeering smile on his face.
’We’re professionally trained,’ they thought. ’Dealing with a greenhorn like this will be like a hawk toying with a chick.’
"Surrender quietly, kid!"
A tall guard swung the baton in his hand, aiming straight for Qin Tuo’s shoulder.
But with a slight movement from Qin Tuo, the baton struck nothing but air!

Then, Qin Tuo threw a quick punch that sent the guard flying, and he crashed to the floor.
The other guards were stunned. When they came to their senses, they gritted their teeth and attacked simultaneously.
"All at once! This kid might know kung fu! Get him, quick!"
The guards swung their batons, but Qin Tuo simply lifted one foot and brought it down lightly on the ground.
WHOOSH!
A fierce, invisible pressure wave blasted outward.
The guards looked as if they’d seen a ghost. They suddenly lost their balance and were thrown to the ground, one after another!
"Ouch! What was that? This is insane!"
"Damn it, who took a cheap shot at me?"
The guards lay on the ground, utterly bewildered.
The security captain stood frozen in place, completely stunned.
Suddenly, Qin Tuo strode forward and, before the captain could even react, clamped a hand around his neck.
Qin Tuo applied a little pressure, and the security captain found it difficult to breathe.
Wang Lei, the saleswoman, and the others were all dumbfounded.
Wang Lei, in particular, never would have dreamed that Qin Tuo was this skilled!
He opened his mouth to hurl another insult, but the words caught in his throat.
"What are you doing?"
The security captain’s voice was filled with terror.
Qin Tuo said coldly,
"You’re not very professional for a security captain. If you’re going to resort to force, you should at least try to verify the facts first."
Terrified, the security captain nodded again and again, begging, "I was wrong, sir! It was my fault. Please, don’t do anything rash!"
He could feel the immense power in Qin Tuo’s hand; it felt like it could snap his neck at any moment.
In the face of such extreme terror, his only option was to beg for his life.
Qin Tuo snorted.

"I’ve seen plenty of petty thugs like you. Next time, open your eyes and pay attention. Got it?"
"Yes, yes..."
The security captain nodded profusely.
Seeing that Qin Tuo still hadn’t let go, he pleaded with a pained expression, "Sir, if you let me go, I’ll go verify everything right now. Then I’ll give you a satisfactory explanation, how about that?"
At this, Qin Tuo finally released his grip.
The security captain immediately scrambled more than ten meters away and, without a moment’s hesitation, pulled out his walkie-talkie.
"Hey, get over here, now! We’ve got someone making trouble!"
Qin Tuo’s brow furrowed. He realized the man still hadn’t learned his lesson.
The guards on the ground had already gotten back to their feet. They rubbed their sore spots, their eyes fixed warily on Qin Tuo.
But when they heard their captain calling for backup, the sneers returned to their faces.
The security captain clicked off his walkie-talkie and couldn’t help but laugh with satisfaction.
"Punk, I was careless and let you get the drop on me. Just wait until I get more men here. We’ll see where you run then!"
’He had no intention of actually verifying anything.’
’Besides,’ he thought, ’how could someone driving a cheap, domestic car possibly afford to live in Half Moon Bay, let alone the Upper Bay Area?’
Qin Tuo shook his head and said with a note of regret,
"It seems you’re still determined not to learn your lesson. What a shame."
The captain was infuriated by his tone.
"Stop your act, kid! So you know a few moves? Big deal! Just you wait. When my guys get here, you can get ready to die!"
Zhou Kexin’s face filled with worry, and she wanted to go over and mediate.

But Wang Lei immediately grabbed her arm and shook his head slowly.
’Wang Lei wished with all his heart that these guards would beat Qin Tuo to death!’
But after a few moments, the backup still hadn’t arrived, and the security captain started to get anxious.
Just then, the property manager came rushing over.
He had heard the security captain’s call over the walkie-talkie and knew there was trouble.
Since the security captain was his cousin, the property manager was afraid he’d caused some major trouble, so he had rushed over to see for himself.
When he saw from a distance that it was Qin Tuo, the property manager’s vision went dark.
He realized then that his good-for-nothing cousin had truly picked a fight with the wrong person.
"Cousin, you’re just in time..."
Seeing his cousin arrive, the security captain laughed, looking incredibly smug.
But the property manager’s face went stern. He scolded,
"Cousin, you’re truly blind! Of all the people you could have offended, you dared to go after Mr. Qin!"
