Han Zilin asked worriedly,

"Brother Tu, if you’re the one paying later, can you afford it?"

Qin Tuo shook his head and smiled.

"Zilin, don’t worry. I don’t have to spend a single cent here!"

Han Zilin’s eyes widened in disbelief.

"No way, Brother Tu. Are you messing with me again?"

But Qin Tuo just gave a mysterious, confident smile.

Seeing him act like this, Han Zilin didn’t press the issue.

Wu Liang shot Qin Tuo a cold glance, then turned and walked toward the stage.

A stage was set up in the middle of the banquet hall, and the surrounding decorations were festive and lively.

The moment Wu Liang got on stage, he began to speak loudly.

"Fellow students, my family’s company is spending over a billion this year to enter the real estate market. I’m sure you’ve all heard about this!"

A chorus of agreement immediately rose from the audience. Everyone scrambled to suck up to him, afraid of being left behind.

Wu Liang smiled at the sight and continued to flaunt his company’s financial might.

Suddenly, he feigned a casual gesture, rolling up his sleeve to reveal the watch on his wrist.

Someone in the crowd immediately let out an exaggerated shriek!

"Oh my god, the one Senior Wu is wearing seems to be a classic Richard Mille titanium watch, worth millions. It’s a symbol exclusive to billionaires!"

At these words, everyone was overcome with envy.

Many of the guys were so excited watching the watch on Wu Liang’s wrist they nearly started drooling.

Qin Tuo stared at the watch for a moment, a playful look in his eyes.

"Interesting..." Qin Tuo muttered to himself.

After Wu Liang finished his grand display, the room erupted in thunderous applause.

Suddenly, someone stood up and shouted,

"Senior Wu, you should give us a chance to make some money with you!"

Everyone else quickly chimed in.

"Yeah, Senior Wu! Your family is so rich, whatever slips through your fingers would be more than enough for us to live on!"

"Senior, I’ll be your loyal follower! Just teach me some of your secrets to getting rich, what do you say?"

Every one of these students dreamed of making big money right after graduation.

Each and every one of them harbored dreams of striking it rich.

Wu Liang first furrowed his brow, feigning reluctance.

"My dear classmates, you flatter me. I’m not that capable!"

But the crowd just showered him with more pleas and praise, inflating his ego to the heavens.

And so, putting on an act of being unable to refuse their passionate requests, Wu Liang nodded in agreement.

"Alright, since you’re all so passionate about making money, I’ll give you a hand!"

The applause was instantly even more thunderous. Everyone stared at Wu Liang, their eyes filled with excitement.

Wu Liang thought for a moment, then said slowly,

"Our company recently landed a new project in cooperation with the Chen Family. I was originally going to offer it as a favor to a few old alumni I’m close to, but since you’re all so enthusiastic, I’ll give you an opportunity as well!"

Hearing this, many in the crowd were ecstatic. They knew their chance to make a fortune had arrived.

Seeing their excited faces, Wu Liang added,

"However, this project requires you to buy in. Once the project is a success, we’ll pay out dividends based on your shares. The more you invest, the bigger your payout!"

At this, everyone went wild, clamoring on the spot to invest their money.

Seeing how eager everyone was, even Xu Ting was itching to go invest her money.

"Xu Ting, where are you going?" Han Zilin asked.

Xu Ting tried to suppress her excitement as she said,

"What else could I be doing? Didn’t you hear him? I’m going to invest so I can get a big payout when it succeeds!"

Qin Tuo frowned and told Xu Ting to sit back down.

"This whole act is so fake. Can’t you see he’s scamming everyone?"

Han Zilin’s jaw dropped in surprise.

Hearing this only made Qin Tuo more certain that Wu Liang was running a con.

Seeing Xu Ting get up to invest again, Qin Tuo tried to reason with her one more time.

Xu Ting was getting annoyed. She felt Qin Tuo was overthinking things.

She insisted,

"You’re overthinking it. When Senior Wu was in school, he was always picked up and dropped off by a Rolls-Royce. I just saw that Rolls-Royce parked outside!"

Han Zilin also quickly nodded in agreement.

"That’s right, Brother Tu. I heard even back in school that Wu Liang’s family was extremely wealthy. There shouldn’t be a problem, right?"

Seeing how naive the two girls were, Qin Tuo could only shake his head and sigh.

’These students, still sheltered by the university, have no idea how cruel the real world is,’ he thought. ’How can they fall for such an obvious scam?’

To get Xu Ting to calm down, Qin Tuo advised,

"Just hold on. Let me make a call and ask about the situation."

"Zilin, what’s with this boyfriend of yours? Is he trying to deliberately stop me from getting rich?"
