Chapter 446: Chapter 446: Don’t Touch Me, Disgusting
Vivian Yates and the others arrived at the party. Leona Grant was sitting in a corner, drinking.
Leona Grant wasn’t very old either. Brimming with youthful confidence, he exuded a powerful aura even while sitting there casually.
Vivian Yates walked up to him. The gift box was a replacement, looking much newer. She handed it to Leona Grant. "Leona, your gift!"
Leona Grant was clearly taken aback for a moment. He then took the gift, set it aside, and said politely, "Thank you."
Vivian Yates smiled, a sweet yet disappointed expression on her face. "Aren’t you going to open it? I spent so long preparing it..."
The Leona Grant outside the dream scoffed. ’I? What a clever little word game!’
Leona Grant set down his wine glass and opened the packaging. His eyes flashed with amazement when he saw what was inside. "Where did you buy this?"
He had been looking for this item for a long time. What he didn’t know was that Annabelle Linton had borrowed money to buy it three years ago. For the next three years, she was constantly paying back the debt—she even sold her blood to make enough money!
"Haha, well it wasn’t..."
"Vivian!"
Just as Vivian Yates was about to say something, someone called out to her from a distance. Vivian smiled and said, "Someone’s calling for me over there. I’ll go see what they want. I’m just glad you got the gift. Merry Christmas!"
"Mm, Merry Christmas."
Leona Grant put the Phantom down, not feeling the excitement he had expected. Instead, he felt a strange emptiness, as if he were looking for something.
He was listless for the rest of the party.
Annabelle Linton went back to her school dorm, which was nearby, to change her clothes. She didn’t have time to go to the hospital, so she just put some medicine on her injury and rushed to the party.
A boy from her school gave her a ride on his bicycle. Annabelle agreed, partly because her foot hurt and partly because she was in a hurry.
The bicycle stopped. Just as she got off, the boy suddenly pulled her into a hug. "Annabelle Linton, there’s something I have to tell you!"
Annabelle Linton was completely stunned. She pushed against him. "Whatever it is, we can talk about it later! I have somewhere to be!"
The boy hugged her even tighter, his voice trembling with emotion. "Annabelle, I’ve liked you for a long time. Will you be my girlfriend?"
Annabelle’s eyes went wide. She struggled and said, "No, no, no! I have a fiancé! I can’t say yes! Let go of me!"
"I won’t! He doesn’t even like you, so why are you so hung up on him? My family is rich, too. If you’re with me, I’ll treat you well!"
With that, he leaned in to kiss Annabelle Linton.
But before his lips could touch hers, he was sent flying by a powerful kick.
Leona Grant stood in front of Annabelle Linton, his gaze as cold as ice.
*My family is rich, too. If you’re with me, I’ll treat you well...*
He let out a derisive snort and walked away without a word.
Annabelle Linton limped after him, anxiously saying, "Leona, Leona, please let me explain!"
Leona Grant forcefully shoved her away. Annabelle’s injured foot gave out, and she fell to the ground, looking up at him pitifully.
"What you do has nothing to do with me," Leona Grant said coldly. "Don’t touch me. You’re disgusting."
With that, he turned and left, his expression impassive.
Annabelle Linton propped herself up on her hands as tears streamed down her face.
Those words wounded her to the core.
Hiding in a corner, Vivian Yates covered her mouth to stifle a laugh, casting an appreciative glance at the boy.
’So that’s how it happened...’
The Leona Grant outside the dream remembered what he had done, and he was filled with endless regret. He gently held the dreaming Annabelle Linton, trying to soothe her, but she couldn’t hear his voice at all.
"Annabelle Linton, I’m so sorry..."
Just then, a blinding white light flashed.
He instinctively covered his eyes. When he opened them again, the scene had changed.
There was no snow, nor was it nighttime. It was a bright, sunny noon.
[PS: One more Chapter is coming. Leona isn’t dead; he’s dreaming while in a coma! I hope you all can follow my train of thought, right? And can you all accept this kind of plot development? Leona is slowly moving through the past, experiencing these events firsthand. If you don’t get it, let me know! You have to speak up—it’s my duty to make sure everyone understands!]
