Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Proposal 1
Tiana Taylor and her friends had come to Celestia for a visit, and today, Annabelle Linton was with her at an amusement park.
The girl had boundless energy; Annabelle couldn’t keep up.
Annabelle Linton laughed helplessly. "Can you slow down a little?"
"If we’re slow, we’ll be late!" Tiana Taylor exclaimed, excitedly pulling her forward in a rush.
Annabelle Linton had no choice but to follow.
The farther they walked, the louder the commotion grew. A cacophony of screams and cheers erupted, impossibly lively.
The crowd was as thick as if a celebrity had arrived. Annabelle could just barely make out what looked like a stage up ahead, with music playing.
All along the path, costumed characters dressed as animals handed out balloons, creating a festive, holiday-like atmosphere.
"They’re here."
His friend said to Aaron Wyatt, "They’re coming."
Aaron Wyatt took a breath and gave a faint smile. He stood up, walked to the center of the elevated stage, and bowed. Then, holding his guitar, he sat down on a stool.
’Annabelle, I’m going to propose to you today. After this, we can finally be together, officially. Will you say yes?’
’A strange mix of anticipation, nervousness, and excitement washed over me. I’d forgotten how long it’s been since I felt this way...’
’No matter what, I have to try. I don’t have any more time to wait.’
Down below, his friend cued the music. A few seconds later, the intro to "Confession Balloon" began to play.
Instantly, a huge cluster of white and pink balloons soared into the sky. Rose petals and colorful ribbons drifted down, fluttering like snowflakes and creating a dreamlike, fairy-tale atmosphere.
Aaron Wyatt was already on stage, seated in the center with his guitar. His eyes were fixed on the woman making her way through the crowd as he slowly began to sing.
"By the Seine, a coffee on the Left Bank,
A cup in my hand, I savor your beauty,
The lips that left their print behind..."
The moment Aaron Wyatt started singing, he captivated the entire audience. The crowd erupted, and waves of screams followed.
"AHHH—"
"Whoa, look, look! He’s so handsome! Oh my god, my heart can’t take it!"
"It’s ’Confession Balloon!’ Is he confessing to someone? This is so romantic! He’s handsome and knows how to create such a romantic moment. I wonder who the lucky woman is!"
Tiana Taylor pulled Annabelle Linton through the crowd until they reached the front. When Annabelle Linton saw Aaron Wyatt on stage, she froze.
Aaron Wyatt was wearing a black jacket that made him look sharp yet charming, casual yet earnest. He was indescribably handsome.
He sat in the center of the stage, bathed in a single spotlight. He looked as impossibly handsome as an angel descended from heaven.
Annabelle Linton suddenly felt dazed. In her ears, his song continued.
"You say you’re a little hard to get,
Hoping I’ll see the challenge and retreat.
No need for the most expensive gifts,
Just fallen leaves from the Champs-Élysées.
Oh~ creating a romantic date,
Not afraid if we mess it up.
To have you is to have the whole world..."
The chorus was met with another wave of screams, and for the next verse, the entire crowd began to sing along.
"My dear, I fell for you from that day on,
And the sweetness came so easily.
My dear, don’t play coy, your eyes,
Are telling me you’re willing.
My dear, loving you, our love diary,
Memories with the scent of perfume.
A whole bottle of dreams, all because of you,
Stirred all together..."
Annabelle Linton just stood there, stunned, not knowing what to do. She didn’t even realize when Tiana Taylor had pushed her onto the stage.
Her mind went completely blank, and she had no idea what expression to make.
She felt dazed, stupefied, and as if she were in a dream.
The sight of Aaron Wyatt before her was so handsome it was breathtaking. The scene was so beautiful, so stunning, that it dazzled her eyes.
