Chapter 1634: 1634. Island Master Jones was rolled eyes at by the secretary.
The security team leader hesitated for a moment, then said impassively:
"Sir instructed me to protect Miss Johnson Fefferman and ensure she doesn’t encounter any danger again."
Elly Campbell nodded, not doubting him.
It did show how much Adam Jones valued Johnson Fefferman.
The security team leader was one of Adam Jones’s confidants; although he was a bodyguard, he seldom carried out assignments personally.
Tasks involving protection were usually handled by other bodyguards under his command.
Sending him for Johnson Fefferman’s protection this time was a surprise for Elly Campbell.
However, despite the surprise, Elly Campbell didn’t think much of it.
After all, Johnson Fefferman was in Greece and on their turf, so providing her protection was necessary.
Elly Campbell asked no more and headed to the company.
Toward noon, Adam Jones appeared downstairs at Campbell.
This wasn’t unusual, as Elly Campbell viewed him as the "clingy little demon" who often wanted to have lunch with his darling wife several times a week.
Luckily, the two companies weren’t far apart, so Elly Campbell didn’t mind.
When Adam Jones came up, Campbell’s employees greeted him as usual, but their expressions were inexplicably strange.
However, the secretaries from the secretary’s office on Elly Campbell’s floor were less friendly and even rolled their eyes when they saw him coming.
Even though Adam Jones didn’t pay attention to the other women around his wife, he sensed this weird atmosphere.
He frowned slightly, not caring about their attitudes toward him, but he knew their attitude was probably related to his wife.
The team of secretaries adored his wife like a goddess, and the fact that they dared to show him such attitude likely meant he had somehow upset his wife.
Adam Jones, thinking about this, headed to Elly Campbell’s office.
Leaving home in the morning, everything seemed fine. He couldn’t figure out what he did to upset his wife.
Just as Adam Jones was about to push the door and enter, Elly Campbell emerged from inside.
"Why are you here so early today?"
Elly Campbell was a bit surprised to see him.
Adam Jones quietly studied Elly Campbell’s expression, seeing that everything was normal and there was no sign of attitude towards him.
So... why were those secretaries rolling their eyes at him?
Adam Jones didn’t think much of it; since his wife was treating him as usual, he didn’t care about others’ attitudes.
"There’s something important I need to discuss with you."
He put an arm around Elly Campbell’s shoulder as they walked out, "What do you want for lunch?"
"There’s a new restaurant downstairs that I’ve heard is pretty good."
"Okay."
Adam Jones smiled and put an arm around Elly Campbell’s shoulder, and the couple headed to the elevator.
As they walked out of the employee area, Elly Campbell glanced back thoughtfully.
"What’s up?"
"Why do I see my secretaries rolling their eyes at you?"
Adam Jones: "..."
Alright, so his wife noticed too, and she didn’t know what was up either.
"Perhaps they’re unhappy that I’m always coming to see their goddess."
These sweet words worked well on Elly Campbell, who accepted Island Master Jones’s compliment graciously and gave him an appreciative smile.
The restaurant downstairs wasn’t crowded, and they chose a window seat when they entered.
"What was so urgent that you needed to find me?"
"It’s about the results of the last medical check-up report. Although it didn’t show any problems, I’m still worried. Let’s find a time in the next couple of days to go to the United States and do a full medical check-up again."
"Alright."
