Chapter 1633: 1633. Arrange as many as you want.
If what happened with Johnson Fefferman gets out this time, even if it’s not her fault, those people will use this opportunity for slander and might even do worse things.
"Don’t worry, only Adam and I know about this matter. Adam will also talk to the doctors and nurses who treated her, so no one else will find out."
Johnson Fefferman finally relaxed a bit, looking at Elly Campbell with a weak smile, "Thank you, sister-in-law."
Elly Campbell shook her head.
Soon, Adam Jones returned with the breakfast he bought.
Johnson Fefferman had little appetite, so she just took a bowl of millet porridge and ate on the side. Halfway through, she looked up at Adam Jones and said:
"Brother Adam, about those people last night..."
"Don’t worry, I’ll handle it."
A fierce light flashed in Adam Jones’s eyes, "You don’t need to worry about this. Just rest at home for a few days."
"But I have a lot to handle here."
Johnson Fefferman pursed her lips, feeling a bit troubled.
"Lately, some people in the Fefferman Family have been restless. My mom sent me here to deal with some matters in advance, I have to get it done."
Adam Jones knew about the internal strife in the Fefferman Family. Over the years, those people never truly gave up.
But unless Lisa Fefferman spoke up, he couldn’t help with the Fefferman family’s internal conflict, so it was hard to intervene.
"Here’s what we’ll do. For the next few days, I’ll arrange for some bodyguards from the Jones Family to accompany you. Wherever you go, take them with you. Don’t meet strangers alone."
In Adam Jones’s eyes, rarely seen concern flickered, "If anything happens to you, your mother will have a harder time dealing with those ill-intentioned people; your sister-in-law and I would be worried too."
Johnson Fefferman nodded, being especially obedient, probably really frightened by what happened yesterday. She asked again, "How many bodyguards will you arrange for me?"
With her inherently gentle appearance coupled with being scared, she looked like a kitten needing comfort.
Adam Jones chuckled and said, "As many as you want, that’s how many will be arranged."
Then, the doctor came to confirm that Johnson Fefferman was fine and arranged for her discharge from the hospital.
The Jones Family.
"Johnson, what exactly happened? Your brother Adam wouldn’t say anything, and it really worried grandma."
"It’s nothing, I drank a lot with a client yesterday, got alcohol poisoning, and was taken to the hospital. Luckily, sister-in-law and brother Adam were there with me."
Johnson Fefferman smiled as she reassured the old lady.
Seeing Johnson Fefferman looking well, the old lady didn’t pry further, only reminded her:
"Then make sure to rest, stay at home for the next few days, and don’t drink so much next time; it’s bad for your health."
"I know, grandma."
"I’ll ask Gloria to make you some broth to help you recover."
"Thank you, grandma."
After Johnson Fefferman left, Adam Jones called the head of security to the study, and they talked for a long time.
"I need you to keep an eye on this personally, don’t let anyone else handle it, do you understand?"
"I understand, Mr. Jones."
Adam Jones nodded his head.
"Do you have any other instructions?"
"No, you can leave now."
"Yes."
Upon leaving, he encountered Elly Campbell, who had just changed her clothes and was ready to go out.
"Ma’am."
Elly Campbell glanced at him and then towards the study, casually asking:
"What were you two discussing? You talked for over an hour."
