Chapter 445: Chapter 445 - Balance(Part 13)
I spun around as the Balancer teleported behind me, sending Magic Eater shooting out towards him, while driving the dagger at the base of the handle of my whip towards his throat.
He drove his left knee up towards me, before I severed his leg by snapping the jaws of Magic Eater around his knee, before he teleported away as the tip of my dagger closed in on his neck.
My gaze darted about before I locked on as he reappeared, my eyes widening slightly as his body changed shape, becoming skinnier and smaller, the missing parts growing back.
I see, he reshaped what was left of his body to rebuild it in a smaller form...that confirms it, he can’t regenerate his missing pieces anymore, that’s why he’s resorting to redistributing the remainder of his body.
This is working, I need to keep this up!
I then swung my whip out towards him while rapidly extending it out, before turning my gaze up as he teleported above me and drove his foot down towards the top of my head.
I quickly tilted my body across to the left as I sent Magic Eater zipping out towards him, his foot slamming onto the top of my right shoulder as I just barely turned that spot into slime, before Magic Eater chomped off a chunk of his stomach.
He then teleported away, my vision blurring slightly as I stumbled back...sh-shit, turning my shoulder to slime ate up a large chunk of my remaining Mana, I can do that maybe two or three more times and that’s it.
I then shot towards him as fast as I could, stiffening my whip as I pointed it at him and rapidly extended it out, catching him off-guard as he froze for a moment, before my whip struck the middle of his chest and pierced through.
As he began to pull it out, I whipped my arm across, slicing through the left side of his chest and cutting across his left bicep, severing his arm before he teleported behind me.
I halted and spun around before slashing at the middle of his torso with my dagger as I sent Magic Eater shooting out towards his head, before gritting my teeth as his torso suddenly opened up like a donut, his body growing shorter as the jaws of my Magic Eater began to snap around his head, only managing to chomp off the top of his head as he shrunk down.
He then slammed his right fist onto the middle of my stomach, eliciting a sharp gasp of pain from me as I found myself hurtling back through the air, immense agony throbbing across my body as I coughed out blood, before my back slammed onto the wall of the barrier with a jarring impact.
Sh-shit, that seriously damaged several of my organs and shattered all the bones in my torso, his brute strength hasn’t diminished at all.
I healed myself with a pained grimace as fast as I could, before quickly rolling out of the way as he teleported in front of me and drove his left foot towards my head.
His foot slammed onto the barrier as I narrowly got out of the way, before snapping off a large chunk of his side with Magic Eater, his body shrinking further to close it up.
Clearly, he can change the shape of his body, it’s a good thing he didn’t use that earlier in the fight, or it would’ve been a lot harder to land any hits against him.
This is almost definitely the first time he’s actually fought, he likely overwhelmed the people of the Light Continent with his speed...but since we were able to put up an actual fight, he had to start thinking and adapting.
If he was at this current level of combat prowess when he first showed up here, he probably would’ve killed all of us in a matter of minutes.
But now, he’s at the end of his rope...my instincts are telling me that I just need to land a few more hits and he’ll be dealt with. However...I’ve reached my limit now too, I...I can’t keep this up for much longer...

This is quite dire...I estimate that I can only sustain another two or three attacks from his Magic Eater ability.
I may be able to land a serious hit or two of my own, but every time I’ve teleported close to him, regardless of which direction, he has managed to consume a portion of my being with Magic Eater.
I must-...hm?
Suddenly, he stumbled back and collapsed onto one knee, his Magic Eater fading as he let a shaky gasp...this is my chance!
The others who were outside of the barrier began yelling out as I teleported behind him, balling my fists together and raising them up high...finally, I can end this-...!
"You’re wide open," He remarked, as he unleashed Magic Eater again, expanding it as it shot towards me and opened its jaws wide.
No...!
I tried to react as fast as possible, but I froze momentarily, and before I could teleport to safety...the jaws engulfed me entirely as swung his whip back and struck my left leg, wrapping around it as the jaws began to snap shut.
I narrowed and extended my neck, stretching my head up and above the jaws, before they closed around my arms, legs and torso, his toxic Mana infecting nearly all my remaining energy...
