Chapter 441: Chapter 441 - Balance(Part 9)
Wait, did he just say that he can’t use his ability to drain life force on me? I’m guessing that’s what he used to kill the people of the Light Continent without actually injuring them, and likely why he kept trying to grab the others instead of punching or kicking them.
I see, so if he grabs someone, he can drain their life force and kill them...but he can’t use that against me. Pretty generous of him to tell me that...and if that’s the case, he probably plans to defeat me by beating me to death.
Alright, then, all I need to do is keep my core safe, I can survive any attack so long as it remains undamaged, thanks to my Contract with Plasmuk.
I then focused up as he came charging in towards me, before my gaze darted across as he teleported to my left and drove his fist towards me.
I swiftly arched my body back to evade it, his fist whizzing past the front of my chest before I grabbed his left leg with one of my whips and unleashed a barrage of slashes across his torso with my blades.
Suddenly, he tore off his leg and teleported away, the cuts and gashes all over his body closing up as he reappeared...hm, when the others attacked him, the damage repaired instantly.
But with the damage I inflict, his regeneration is a lot slower...it almost looks like his body is stretching itself thin to close up the gaps from the damage I inflict.
I then unleashed a roaring wave of Dragon Fire towards him from my mouth, which he quickly flew away to evade, before teleporting behind me.
I swiftly spun around and turned my torso to slime as he drove his foot towards me, hitting my stomach and bursting out my back before I grabbed hold of his leg with the slime to hold him in place.
I then swung one of my daggers straight down at him, hitting the top of his head and splitting it in half as I grabbed his wrists with my whips and stretched them out, restraining his arms as I fired out a concentrated bolt of lightning from my mouth, hitting the middle of his chest.
I began to charge up blue flames, before he suddenly swung his split head forward, across the length of my dagger before slamming against my forehead, as I just barely turned my head to slime in time.
As I re-formed my head, I started to fly back as he bent his legs before rapidly driving them towards me like a spring, slamming onto the middle of my torso as I turned my entire body to slime and got sent flying back through the air with alarming speed.
D-damn it, that was nowhere near my core, but the impact was strong enough to rattle it...it didn’t sustain any damage, but that was way too close.
My body then slammed onto the barrier with a splat, before I plummeted and hit the ground, re-forming my body and solidifying it, before quickly rolling out of the way in alarm as the Balancer teleported right above and plunged his feet down towards me.
I managed to get my torso out of the way, before gritting my teeth in pain as his feet stomped doek on my left arm with a crushing impact, a devastating shockwave erupting out as I got blown away, my arm getting torn off around the spot where he’d stomped down.
Streaks of blood sprayed out of the mangled stump that was left of my arm as I went skidding across the ground, before I brought myself to a halt with a sharp spread of my wings, letting out a slow exhale as I regenerated my arm.
"Hm? Blood? How strange, your body appeared to be made of a gelatinous substance with my previous attacks, but this time, it is clearly flesh and bone," Remarked the Balancer in confusion, as I grabbed the dagger that was in the grasp of my severed hand with my whip and pulled it back towards me, taking hold of the handle as my arm finished regenerating.
I’d keep my entire body in slime state the enrite time if I could, but doing that drains way too much Mana.
This is bad, he’s getting better at directing his brute strength, his attacks are packing more and more of a punch with every hit.
His general movements and his use of his teleportation have gotten sharper too, I need to damage him as much as possible while I still can!
I then sent one of my whips shooting out towards him with immense speed, before rapidly swinging the other one across to my right as he teleported there, grimacing as he reacted in the blink of an eye and leapt over the swing of the whip.
As the whip zipped past the bottom of his feet, I swung one of my daggers towards him as he drove his fist towards me, the edge of my blade striking the middle of his knuckles and slicing through, splitting his hand and forearm in half before I fired off a burst of flames from my feet to launch myself back as he drove his knee up towards me.
An intense gust of wind burst out from the force of the thrust of his knee as I narrowly avoided the strike, backing away as I fired off a barrage of lightning bolts at him from my mouth, which he teleported away to evade.
He’s improving at a frightening rate, just how much more do I need to damage him to end this!?
