Chapter 419: Chapter 419 - Counterattack(Part 4)

"How much further is it?" Izzy asked me.
"We’re almost there...there’s a wall between us and the next Vampire, but we can just bust through it. There it is, right up ahead," I replied, as we flew through the castle.
"You two are way too calm about this...," Muttered Prysm nervously.
"It’ll be fine, you were able to defeat one of her clones by yourself, after all," Pointed out Izzy, as she pulled ahead slightly and drew back her fist as we began to close in on the wall.
"Yeah, but...it’s different this time, we’ll have to face multiple clones at the same time," Responded Prysm warily, as Izzy drove her fist forward and slammed it against the wall, deep cracks spreading out upon impact before it collapsed in with a loud crash, a large hall coming into sight, with several Vampires inside.
Izzy then snapped open her jaws and unleashed a devastating, blazing wave of blue flames, which roared into the space and illuminated the area in a pale blue glow.
I then followed her lead and added my own blue flames into the mix, most of the Vampires getting enveloped before they could evade in time, their bodies getting set ablaze in a matter of seconds, as I sensed the Elder Vampire zipping up into the air, narrowly evading the flames, while also sensing Prysm quietly sneaking around the space.
As Izzy and I wiped out the Vampires, Izzy began to reabsorb the flames before they could spread too far, the flames rapidly receding as she swallowed them up.
"Oh, my, two individuals capable of using Dragon Fire is quite a problem...but something is strange, the only human that’s supposed to be capable of using Dragon Fire is Larrk Stryker, and based on your appearance, you aren’t him, so how-...?" Began the Elder Vampire with a smile, before abruptly trailing off as a rapid blur came shooting in towards her from the left.
She quickly flew back, before a deep gash appeared across her stomach as the blur shot past her, streaks of blood spraying out as she narrowly evaded being cut in two.
"Damn it, I thought I had that," Muttered Prysm with a grimace, as she landed several meters away, her feet skidding across the scorched tiles as the wound she’d inflicted swiftly healed and closed up.
"Another human? And a seemingly normal one...ah, you must possess some form of boosting Skill. And you, male human...I see now, you must have recently formed a Contract, and based on those wings, the color of the scales on your body and the Dragon Fire, it must have been Frielektra. How odd, I’m quite sure that I failed to inflict any fatal damage against her, so what could possibly have transpired that resulted in the formation of a Contract?" She wondered curiously.
"And what possibly makes you think that I’d bother to answer any of your questions? More importantly, aren’t you going to activate the moonlight barrier? Ah, that’s right, that barrier’s the reason why you were defeated last time. And with two Dragon Fire users here, you’re too afraid to activate it, aren’t you?" I smirked tauntingly.
"Impressive, you’re quite good at provoking your opponents. She appears to be quite riled up," Remarked Frielektra inside my head.
Uh, you sure about that? She’s still smiling...though it does look a bit more malicious now.
"Well, now, aren’t you a cocky little human?" She chuckled as she formed twelve clones and took out the Magic Item, before activating it as the clones spread out across the space.
As the barrier began to form, Prysm took out the counter item and activated it, destroying the barrier before I swiftly shot towards the real one, her eyes widening slightly as I closed in, though her smile didn’t fade at all...man, that’s creepy.
She fired off a piercing beam of blood at me as I closed in, before quickly flying back at the attack phased right though me.
I then manifested my twin blades and whipped them across, inflicting a deep, X-shaped cut across her torso, blood streaming out before I pulled my right blade back and drove it straight towards her throat.
She quickly veered across to her right, my blade gazing the left side of her neck and drawing out a couple of trickles of blood as she got some distance away, her clones flying out in front of her and obscuring her from my line of sight.
"That didn’t seem to be coincidental...how were you able to tell which one was the real me?" Her voice echoed out from behind the clones.
Hm, interesting...when I inflicted that X-shaped cut, naturally, I cut through her clothes. And now, all her clones have sustained that exact same damage to their clothes too.
But thanks to my Radar Skill, I can pick out the real one...her signature feels stronger than the clones. That said, it’s hard to focus on Radar while fighting at the same time, I can’t keep it active indefinitely in the middle of a fight since my focus gets split.
"Like I already said, what makes you think I’ll answer any of your questions?" I responded, before a massive wave of blue flames came barreling towards her and her clones.
They all quickly scattered in several directions, four of them getting engulfed in the flames and turning to ash in a matter of seconds, before she swiftly formed four more clones to take their place.
"Don’t get discouraged, that ability of hers consumes a significant amount of energy, just keep wiping out the clones and she’ll get progressively worn out," Frielektra informed me.
Got it, I’ll keep that in mind.
"Hey, now, you shouldn’t take your attention off me. You’re up against three opponents here, not one," Called out Izzy with a smirk.
"My...what an infuriating lot you are," She smiled in response, a dark look in her eyes...
