Chapter 99: Crown Princess

After some more explanations and questions, the tour finally came to an end, and the students were dismissed.

Almost immediately, the children began scattering in different directions.

"Woof! The temperament of my aunt is completely different, these people are definitely lying!" Voomie muttered from Caelum’s shoulder.

Caelum immediately shot her a warning glare.

When they had visited the Palace of the Summoning Goddess earlier, he could not deny that it felt less like a place of worship and more like a luxurious estate filled with wealthy nobles.

The atmosphere had been completely different from the other temples.

And throughout the entire visit, Voomie had not stopped causing trouble.

She repeatedly called the Summoning Goddess a scammer.

That naturally earned her several hostile glares from the priests and attendants present there.

Fortunately, their group had not stayed long.

More importantly, she kept referring to the Summoning Goddess as Aunt.

Caelum silently decided to cut her food supply.

After all, she barely resembled a dog anymore.

"Damn God!" Skyler muttered with a dark expression.

The moment everyone saw his face, they burst into laughter.

As the newly chosen Saint of the Summoning Goddess, he had learned something rather painful during the tour.

Before the Main Palace officially acknowledged his sainthood, he would be expected to make several generous donations.

Just thinking about the amount of money he would lose made his heart ache.

Meanwhile, Ryan seemed unusually thoughtful.

"But why are there so many gods?" he asked.

The question was mainly directed toward the old man residing within his sword.

’You are still too young to understand such matters and first fix your posture while walking!’ the old man’s nagged as his voice echoed inside his head.

Another voice immediately chimed in.

’Or just give me your body, I can walk for you.’

It was the Heroic Spirit of Thief.

Ryan completely ignored the suggestion.

"Who knows?" Paul answered from the side.

"Ryan, how come your brain is suddenly working?" Loreal asked suspiciously.

The question was valid.

Ryan rarely used his brainpower for knowledgeable discussions.

"Anyways, the practical term has arrived, so I should begin exercising more." Paul said while flexing his thin arm.

Everyone stared at his arm.

It remained as thin as ever.

"Why are you two so serious?" Caelum suddenly asked.

During the entire tour, both Bonjour and Sénior had remained unusually focused.

In fact, Sénior had even taken notes.

That alone had shocked several students.

A barbarian showing interest in religious studies was not something people saw every day.

"We have a mission..." Bonjour replied seriously.

There was a reason the barbarians had sent them to study at the Imperial Zenith School.

This was not merely an educational trip.

There were larger goals involved.

"How about we play All Ball?" Skyler suddenly suggested.

"For some reason, I feel unnaturally refreshed."

The others exchanged glances for a moment before nodding.

"Sounds good."

"Let’s do it."

"I’m in."

"Fine by me."

"Alright," Caelum said.

"But before that, I need to talk to Anastasia for a bit."

The others immediately began discussing teams and strategies.

Meanwhile, Caelum walked toward Anastasia and Loreal.

"Anastasia, there’s something I’ve wanted to ask you for quite a while now."

Then he looked toward Loreal as well.

"And you too..."

Imperial Capital Arkenor, Arkhe Empire – Imperial Palace

Crown Princess’s Chambers.

"I’m tired!"

A young girl who had recently turned twelve threw herself onto a luxurious bed and complained loudly.

Long purple hair spilled across the silk sheets.

Her features were delicate and refined, possessing the sort of beauty that would naturally draw attention wherever she went.

She was the former First Princess and the current Crown Princess of the Arkhe Empire.

And at this moment, she was exhausted.

Becoming Crown Princess had been far more troublesome than she initially expected.

Just then, a flash of light appeared outside the room.

The window swung open.

"Meow~"

An orange cat jumped through the opening.

Tiny sparks of electricity crackled around its cheeks as it landed gracefully before immediately charging toward the girl.

The next moment, the cat buried its chubby stomach directly against the Crown Princess’s neck.

"Susie! I can’t breathe properly!"

The princess immediately struggled.

Unfortunately, the cat merely purred louder.

Its fluffy tail pointed toward the storage ring on her finger.

"I remember alright! I know I need to check the event list, you don’t have to remind me like this!"

The princess grabbed the orange cat and tossed it into the air.

Susie spun once elegantly before landing on the bed beside her.

Then she sat proudly as if she had accomplished an important mission.

"Haah..."

The princess sighed deeply.

"I didn’t know being Crown Princess would be this tiring."

Despite her complaints, she did not regret her decision.

Because she remembered what was supposed to happen.

In the original timeline, a certain incident would occur in the future.

Afterward, her youngest brother would be named Crown Prince.

And eventually, he would grow into a tyrant.

Before she awakened, she had never cared much about the throne.

But now things were different.

She had accepted the position of Crown Princess.

And as everything proceeded according to her plans, the succession war that destroyed so many lives would never happen again.

Taking a deep breath, she opened a notebook she had stored inside her ring.

A checklist appeared before her with the title: Things To Complete

✓ Learn proper dancing before birthday.

✓ Befriend the Duke’s sons and daughters during the birthday celebration.

✓ Establish a superior position among noble peers.

✓ Prevent the Mana Poisoning Incident involving Cody.

✓ Receive Father’s guidance regarding the Imperial Family Technique.

⊙ Visit Tri-Mountain Village before the Sun Festival and prevent incident.

⊙ Befriend the Saint of the Sun from Tri-Mountain Village.

"Hmmm..."

The princess tapped her pen lightly against the page.

Only two tasks remained unfinished.

Her birthday had already passed during the previous month and today was the 1st of Soltharion.

That meant there were still three days remaining before the Annual Sun Festival.

Her gaze lingered on the final two objectives.

Especially the last one.

Befriend the Saint of the Sun.

That particular individual would become incredibly important in the future.

Knock! Knock!

A series of knocks echoed through the room.

The princess immediately knew who it was.

"You don’t need permission to enter Bella, and you’re late." She stored the notebook back inside her ring.

A moment later, the door opened and woman entered quietly.

"Princess, you called for me?"

Bella bowed respectfully.

At first glance, she appeared to be a somewhat fragile woman in her thirties.

However, appearances could be deceiving.

Bella, the personal maid of Amara Va Arkhe, the Crown Princess of Arkhe Empire.

She was an Archmage.
