Chapter 90: The School’s Atmosphere Is Strange...
"So, you truly don’t want to spend more time with me?" Catherine asked while leaning against her desk lightly.
At this moment, they had already returned to the Principal’s office once again.
Caelum immediately shook his head seriously.
"No way," he replied without hesitation.
"I recently got a new dog, and I think she has been starving for nearly two days already."
The truth flowed out of his mouth naturally.
"Hmph!"
Catherine snorted softly before deliberately making a sad expression.
If ordinary people were present here right now, they would probably strangle Caelum on the spot for making such a beautiful woman look disappointed.
Meanwhile, Bonjour silently gave Caelum a discreet thumbs-up from the side.
He respected that level of courage greatly.
Eventually, Catherine sighed helplessly.
"Fine then."
A luxurious magic staff suddenly appeared within her hand.
The next moment, an enormous magic circle materialized beneath Caelum and Bonjour.
Layers of golden runes spread across the floor while dense mana gathered rapidly inside the circle.
"You’ll probably discover quite a surprise waiting at your school," Catherine said mysteriously while controlling the magic circle.
The surroundings shone as the magic circle glowed.
FLASH!
Caelum and Bonjour disappeared completely as they were teleported directly toward Imperial Zenith School.
The office became quiet afterward.
Catherine slowly sat down while rubbing her forehead lightly.
"What a monstrous little brat..." she muttered softly.
"I genuinely cannot read him at all."
In truth, her original intention had never been complicated.
She simply wanted Skyla to experience proper defeat from someone within her own generation, after from just a single look she gasped the powers the current Caelum had.
And over the years, Skyla had gradually become too arrogant due to her overwhelming talent and bloodline.
And as a kind and gentle mother, Catherine naturally believed someone needed to defeat her to tighten her character.
Caelum had simply been the perfect candidate.
At the same time, the situation would also help the two children grow somewhat closer naturally.
Because of the blood flowing through Skyla’s veins, her future would inevitably become complicated.
Eventually, she would refuse to acknowledge men she considered beneath her.
And with the status she already possessed as the daughter of the Valor Dukedom, finding someone genuinely suitable for her in the future would become increasingly difficult.
In some ways, this could also be considered fulfilling a promise between old friends.
After all, Catherine and Mira had once jokingly promised that their descendants would marry one another someday.
Then Catherine suddenly sighed again.
"I just hope that child doesn’t end up choosing me instead of my daughter after all I am..." Her lips curved up slightly.
Though she probably wouldn’t mind too much either if Caelum chose her, because, naturally, she considered herself best.
Catherine also considered herself rather open-minded and, mature confidence naturally came with age.
Meanwhile, if Caelum had somehow heard those thoughts, he would have instantly replied with complete seriousness.
’I would absolutely never choose you! Especially not when you are my mother’s friend!’

A brilliant light suddenly shone outside Imperial Zenith School, instantly placing the entire surrounding area on high alert.
Within moments, several security personnel appeared near the disturbance while powerful presences swept across the surroundings cautiously.
"Identify yourselves immediately!" one of the guards shouted sternly, he was at Master level.
"What?!" Caelum and Bonjour both looked stunned by the aggressive greeting.
Without wasting time, Caelum immediately took out his school badge and presented it.
Bonjour did the same.
The security guard carefully inspected both badges before narrowing his eyes slightly.
"Hm... these don’t appear fake," he muttered before looking at the two suspiciously.
"Still, why were you two outside the school grounds in the first place?"
His gaze sharpened further.
"Did you take some kind of outside mission?"
"Mission?" Caelum blinked before shaking his head immediately.
"No, we were accidentally sent outside."
"That’s right!" Bonjour quickly added from the side.
"It was completely accidental!"
At this point, the barbarian had fully sobered up already.
After everything they experienced, even alcohol could no longer maintain its effects properly.
The guard still looked unconvinced.
"This feels extremely suspicious..." he muttered while scrutinizing them carefully.
Meanwhile, Caelum noticed something unusual.
The security around the school was far tighter than normal.
"Sir, did something happen inside the school?" he asked.
He looked around seriously.
"You all seem to be on extremely high alert."
The guard folded his arms.
"That isn’t something children need to concern themselves with."
However, after looking at the two of them again, he eventually sighed helplessly.
One of them possessed an unusually noble and handsome face.
The other was a barbarian standing shirtless in School.
Combined with their extremely curious expressions, the guard already knew they would continue bothering him otherwise.
Eventually, he gave up.
"Fine, nothing major happened..." he muttered.
Then he immediately began listing events that sounded increasingly insane.
"A meteor suddenly fell from the sky and created a massive lake nearby but fortunately, damage control was handled properly afterward. Then apparently some terrorist organization attempted to kidnap several magical beasts from inside the school. The Emperor of our Empire also personally arrived to meet the Princess, and a delegation from the Summoning Goddess Palace also arrived to greet the newly chosen Saint."
Then he paused briefly before adding the final statement.
"Oh, and apparently a dragon was seen flying across the sky earlier."
Silence followed.
"What the fuck?!" Caelum immediately cursed in disbelief.
For a moment, he genuinely thought his ears had malfunctioned somehow. Bonjour too looked equally stunned.
The guard instantly glared at Caelum afterward.
"Kid, watch your language." he warned him sternly before snorting.
"You’re still green!"
After saying that, the guard left to continue his patrol elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Caelum and Bonjour slowly looked toward each other.
The atmosphere became strangely heavy.
After a moment of silence, Caelum spoke first.
"...Let’s return to my room first."
He already knew exactly who would possess the full details.
"Yeah," Bonjour nodded seriously.
Paul would have to answer quite a lot of questions.
