Chapter 128: Overworked Staff!

Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz emerged from the bushes behind them, looking at the group with visible confusion.

The Sun God Festival had already ended and the night had fallen long ago.

So why were these children still wandering around outside?

More importantly, why were they all soaked and injured?

He had originally come here because he sensed a strange fluctuation while passing nearby.

The children exchanged awkward glances as none of them knew how to answer.

Or rather, most of them were just as confused themselves.

Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz’s gaze eventually landed on a familiar face.

It was Ryan, the boy was sound asleep.

"..."

He remembered him because he had personally removed the child’s milk teeth not long ago.

"We were playing in the water!" Caelum replied with complete seriousness.

Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz narrowed his eyes as he carefully observed Caelum for a moment.

Then his expression became strange.

"And this game requires you to burn your life force? What kind of game is that? Let me play too..."

"!!!"

Caelum’s pupils shrank as the man’s observation was frighteningly accurate.

Without another word, he immediately decided to act.

After all as the saying goes: Act! Act! Till you deceive!

His face turned pale and he collapsed onto the ground.

Thud!

"..."

Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz looked at him for a few seconds before sighing.

"Has anyone ever told you that your acting is terrible?"

He casually waved his hand and golden skulls formed from divine power appeared around them.

Before anyone could react, each tiny skull flew toward one of the children.

The skulls opened their mouths, then swallowed the children’s heads whole.

A strange divine power seeped into their minds.

One after another, the children felt overwhelming drowsiness.

Their eyelids became heavy and soon, everyone collapsed unconscious.

After confirming they were asleep, Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz nodded in satisfaction.

He then walked toward the opposite side of the meteor lake.

There, lying beside the shore, was an E-Boy.

The poor bird was completely soaked and looked utterly miserable.

"..."

Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz crouched beside it.

"If left untreated, its chances of survival are quite low."

As a doctor, he couldn’t ignore someone in need.

Whether that someone was human or bird.

After all, a true doctor never abandons a patient.

He gently picked up the unconscious E-Boy as well.

And when the children finally opened their eyes again... they found themselves lying inside the Imperial Zenith School infirmary.

Unknowingly they had slept for the whole day.

Not far away, the thoroughly confused E-Boy also slowly opened its eyes.

A familiar member of the infirmary staff was standing nearby.

All of them were lying on separate beds and the moment she saw them awake one by one, she shot them a venomous glare.

Especially Caelum.

"I knew it! You brats are nothing but trouble!"

She pointed an accusing finger at him.

"And the doctor even had to use precious medicine to treat you!"

After somewhat venting her frustration, she stormed out to inform Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz that his patients had awakened.

Before Ryan could rush out after knowing that it was Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz who had brought them here, the doctor himself entered the infirmary.

He calmly examined everyone once more.

Then he pointed at them one by one.

"You, you, you, you, and you, leave."

Everyone except Caelum, Jojo, and Voomie was asked to leave.

The others exchanged puzzled looks before signaling Caelum that they would wait outside.

Little did they know that a furious infirmary staff member was already waiting outside for them after being forced to work overtime because of this incident.

Once the room was empty, Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz looked toward the remaining three.

"Everyone else had their memories sealed so tell me exactly what happened."

His eyes settled on Jojo.

"You first, the Power Panda."

His voice carried a seriousness that left no room for refusal.

Jojo sensed the overwhelming divine power hidden within the doctor.

He silently glanced at Caelum and Voomie and his expression clearly conveyed one message: ’Tell the truth.’

The next moment, a barrier silently enveloped the room.

Jojo began recounting everything from beginning to end.

As the story unfolded, even Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz’s calm expression gradually became more solemn.

When Jojo finished, it was Voomie’s turn.

Unfortunately... most of her explanation revolved around how her owner had thrown her into the lake, later launched her through the air again, and even threatened to reduce her food supply.

Caelum quietly covered his face.

After that, he gave his own account of the incident.

Meanwhile, the soaked E-Boy quietly hopped over before perching itself on top of Caelum’s head as if it belonged there.

After hearing all three testimonies, Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz remained silent for quite some time.

"This was an extremely serious incident which could have easily cost all of you your lives and if that had happened, the school would have borne full responsibility."

His expression remained thoughtful.

"However there are several things I don’t understand."

He looked directly at Caelum and then Jojo.

"How did all of you emerge with only minor injuries and how does this panda possess knowledge about Drifting Dimensions? Because you must know, that information is highly classified."

Jojo simply remained silent as the doctor sighed.

"I won’t lecture you... but you survived something that even adults might not so you deserve rest."

He paused.

"However I will seal your memories of this incident and I’ll also personally investigate the matter. I’ve also informed your dorm managers, so none of you will get into trouble for disappearing, and naturally the Headmaster must be informed."

Before Caelum could protest, a warm divine light entered his forehead as his memories of the incident were sealed.

Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz then attempted the same procedure on Jojo and Voomie.

Unfortunately, it failed.

He could have forced the process but he chose not to.

After observing Jojo for a few moments, the doctor suddenly asked.

"I have a strange feeling, have we met before?"

"No Doctor, this is our first meeting." Jojo answered without hesitation.

"Hmm... very well, don’t mention today’s events to anyone." Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz quietly nodded.

"And take care of him for the time being, as for the others, tell them to rest today."

The summoned duo thanked the doctor before leaving with a slightly dazed Caelum.

Outside the infirmary, they eventually found the others.

Apparently, everyone had been chased around by the furious staff member until only a few moments ago.

"What the hell happened?" Skyler immediately walked over asking energetically.

"I’m hungry." Paul scratched his head as his glasses flashed. His usual timid personality had completely returned.

"You too? Me too."

The others looked at each other.

Then, without another word, the entire group headed off to have breakfast.
