Chapter 265: One Thousand Bonks (Swords) Formation
Now that all prominent influences had arrived, they were looking at each other, probing their secret and power. It was a normal thing to do.
However, there was one thing that shocked everyone. It was Albert wearing the True Disciple’s coat.
The other five sects didn’t know anything about Albert’s sudden rise as well as his identity. After all, he looked as if he appeared out of thin air.
Little did they know, they weren’t the only ones confused by Albert’s identity, even the True Disciples from the Five Elements Mountain also didn’t know much about Albert.
But when they saw Shi Lan and the disciples of the First Elder surrounding him, it was clear that Albert had the connection with the First and the Second Elders.
Just a single probe was enough to realize that Albert had gone to the elder assembly to showcase his power. The Mountain Master took a liking of his talent and granted him the True Disciple status. However, it was said the Mountain Master was impartial, so he encouraged the others to compete fairly if they wanted to be his disciple. And this Ancient Ruin was the competition.
That was why they shifted their attention to this Ancient Ruin instead of Albert. It wasn’t like they wanted to make an enemy of the First and the Second Elders anyway.
Still, what shocked them the most was Gin. It turned out the Array that Shi Lan used in her fight against Su Hao was crafted by the First Elder, but the knowledge about such an array came from Gin.
It was clear that Gin would become like the First Elder sooner or later, so offending him wouldn’t be a good idea.
Little did they know, some of foolish men would certainly approach them and challenge them to assert dominance. But Gin and Albert had seen this through and created a barrier to prevent them. They were Shi Lan and the First Elder’s disciples.
Gin had corrupted all of them by using the knowledge coming from his previous world to make sure that no one came to attack him. The First Elder was also watching from afar to the point he could make a move if anything happened.
It scared everyone because the First Elder was much more important than Elder Li Mu due to his identity being an Array Master.
If Li Mu was the greatest teacher in Five Elements Mountain, the First Elder was the sect’s greatest contributor, so his words alone would be enough to crush the opposition.
Hence, they managed to arrive to this Ancient Ruin without having a single conflict.
While looking at the empty plain, Gin frowned and asked, "What do you think about this?"
"Are you talking about that exorbitant amount of energy?" Albert asked.
"Yep. It’s quite powerful, right?"
"That’s true, but I don’t think a single expert can do that unless they’re using..."
"It’s array. This Ancient Ruin is enveloped by a giant formation. It’s said that the formation is strong enough to crush anyone from the Void Stage. So, when they knew that the formation set a limit at Golden Core Stage, no one dared to approach this ruin anymore.
"Still, this kind of land will be bountiful. Do you think you can absorb the Spiritual Energy there?"
"Nope. This is the price I’ve to pay." Albert shook his head with a nonchalant expression.
A normal disciple would be glad to enter here just to absorb this bountiful Spiritual Energy, but Albert didn’t want any of this. The bonk could only absorb the lust energy, so the only way he could become stronger was to bonk others or kill them.
And since others might be listening to him, he wanted to let them know that his overwhelming power also came with a price. It also showed how much he hated the Joyful Union Sect.
"I don’t know what will happen in the Ancient Ruin, but it’s said that you’re going to be teleported randomly. Don’t you think it’s better for us to regroup?"
Albert nodded in agreement. Bonk Network could also be used to talk, so there was a big chance they could regroup.
"I’ll rely on your ability this time, Gin." Albert smirked.
"Of course, I’m going to make sure to enjoy this trip to the fullest." Gin suddenly felt a slight movement inside his clothes as this came from Bonkichi, the slime he tamed back in the magic continent. "Bonkichi will do his best too."
"Ahaha, seems like the salamander is too. You’re going with them to make sure you’re protected." Albert chuckled.
"Yes, but please take this, Master." Gin handed a scroll to him.
"What is this?"
"An array. A King Level Array. Although I believe in your strength, I just want to do something to protect you. At least, let me share a bit of your burden."
Albert felt gratified. Gin had done so much for him like Yale.
"How about you take a look at it? This is my masterpiece as of yet."
"Really?" Albert opened the scroll but to his surprise, Bonkey suddenly responded by showing him a notification.
Skill: One Thousand Bonks (Swords) Formation - 700 Bonk Bites
Effect: Summon a thousand swords to surround your enemies. Each sword can be controlled with a thought.
Requirement: 4000 Bonk Bites
"Hoh? One Thousand Bonks Formation?" Albert smirked.
"Eh? How did you know?" Gin was dumbfounded when Albert called the name. It was a surprise since he made it thinking about those cool array names and changing it with bonk. But to think Albert could see it through a single glance.
"The network." Albert bluffed since Bonkey’s existence should remain secret.
"Oh?" Gin nodded in understanding, believing that the Bonk Network did much more for the owner.
"It’s quite good, eh?" Albert closed it again. Although he wanted to return it to Gin since he had learned this ability and had the ability to summon it easily, he felt it would be rude to Gin after all the trouble he underwent just to create this one array. So, he stored the scroll in his Space Ring while thanking Gin. "Thanks, Gin. I like it."
"Yes!" Gin smiled.
"It’s opening!" Suddenly, a shout alarmed all cultivators in the area.
When they turned around, they could see a huge blue-colored whirlpool appearing in the air. The whirlpool was set to horizontal as if it became a tunnel that bridge the outside and the realm inside.
"It seems the time has come." Gin smirked.
"Yes." Albert raised his fist and said with an excited smile. "Let’s do this, shall we?"
"Of course." Gin bumped his fist against him as they flew together toward the whirlpool.
The Ancient Ruin had finally opened.
