Chapter 230: Coming to Array Master Association

"He is most likely an elder from the sect. However, this is not right..." Gin narrowed his eyes, pondering. "Normally, if you get into the sect, you’re bound to meet with some arrogant young masters or misses that seems to have their own reputation.

"And there will be at least two elders coming to oversee the situation. One of them will be in their favor because their talent has been spread. And I thought we need to make an impression to the other elder for protection.

"That’s why we’re here avoiding that bad guy. But that elder is not within my calculation. It seems that the continent is not something similar to what I remember." Gin sighed before shaking his head.

"I see. Well, those novels or whatever are created by the author’s imagination, right? In that case, there’s no need for you to blindly follow it. Just adapt to it." Albert shrugged.

"Yes. Anyway, we’ve received a card to play." Gin nodded and glanced at the token. "I’m sorry, but Teacher... I think I’m going to leave you for a bit. Due to the unpredictable situation, I want to start preparing early."

"Okay. After we finish here, we will only go to the inn."

"Probably the inn has been packed. As you find that way, it’s better to avoid that inn entirely. After all, a woman usually stays there and there will be a guy who sucks her as—Ahem, I mean courting her."

"I know. How do we meet again?"

Gin pointed at his head, indirectly implying the Bonk Network that Albert had.

In the past, he never had the need to use it because everyone was in the same city. But this was a new city where they had no idea about the culture, it was best to use it to deal with it.

"Got it. Let’s do it your way. We’ll meet again later and focus on the selection." Albert nodded.

Gin then rose from his seat and left the restaurant. He asked a few people for directions before eventually reaching his destination.

There was a huge building in the middle of a busy street. This building was a respectable building that not many could afford to offend.

And this building also had what Gin desired.

He raised his head and looked at the sign of the building that surprisingly he could read.

Array Master Association.

’From what I heard, there are three big jobs in this continent. They’re Alchemist, Forger, and Array Master. It’s said that they’re respected wherever they go, so it’s better to have this kind of identity if someone wants to mess with us. I need to aim for the highest rank, but still I don’t have enough information about this. I should learn a bit... they should have some places to learn, right?’

Gin smirked and entered the building, reaching a huge hall that covered almost the entire floor.

This place was bustling with people. On the right side, he could see numerous racks with scrolls in them. It was clear they were the one providing Array to buy. On the opposite side, Gin saw brushes, inks, and monster skins. And last but not least, Gin found a counter that oversaw the entire activities inside the hall.

Without hesitation, Gin immediately headed straight to the counter and approached a middle-aged man that didn’t take care of anyone.

"Hello." Gin greeted him with a smile.

"How can I help you?" The middle-aged man nodded, asking politely.

"So, a senior told me that I could read some books about arrays here. Is that true?" Gin asked. He mentioned ’senior’ simply because it was the easiest way to fool the middle-aged man. After all, Gin would look like an innocent junior that didn’t know anything.

Gin’s clothes weren’t fancy, but not bad as well. It made him look like an average person.

Hence, the middle-aged man nodded his head. "Yes. There is a library on the second floor. Although it’s only for the basic introduction, it’s better to use it if you want to learn about Array."

"Oh! You said basic... So it means there is something higher, right?"

"Only if you can prove your identity as someone qualified to read them."

Gin agreed with this. The identity he was talking about must be the Array Master Rank. Hence, Gin immediately said, "In that case, how can I go to the library?"

"You only need to pay a five hundred Spirit Stones to enter. Someone will explain the rules there."

"I see." Gin thought for a moment and took out five Hundred Spirit Stones.

As soon as he received the money, the man immediately took out a wooden token with ’Library’ written on it.

"Just show it to the one outside. You can reach the library with the stairs there."

"Understood." Gin thanked him before going to the second floor. He felt relieved that there was no annoying receptionist.

After all, he had prepared to be looked down upon by the receptionist simply because of his age. The receptionist would be too blind to even realize his strength.

With that kind of commotion, there would be important people coming to him. So, he could only use his power to prove them wrong.

It was a hassle, so Gin felt relieved that he had finished everything smoothly.

Little did he know, the middle-aged man wasn’t just a mere receptionist. Despite his average build and look, his power was above Gin.

The middle-aged man took another glance at Gin’s back while furrowing his eyebrows. ’Foundation Stage Expert? He’s that young? With that kind of talent, why does he even want to learn something about Array? But he said something about a senior...’

Unfortunately, just like Gin didn’t know the middle-aged man’s true strength, the latter also didn’t know Gin’s real prowess.

Meanwhile, Gin had reached the second floor and showed the token to the guard outside the library.

"You have six hours. If you still haven’t gone out by that time, I’ll drag you out."

Gin simply nodded for that instruction as he immediately looked at this so-called Library. It was a small library since there wasn’t much to learn in the basic.

However, his real intention to come here was to gain some knowledge about array. So, this was a perfect place to come.

Without hesitation, Gin immediately explored all the books and scrolls in this place.

Albeit, when he was about to take a book, there was a young man standing next to him, shouting, "Stop! That book is mine!"

Gin looked at him with a weird expression as he thought, ’I take it back. The trouble will surely come... Just in another occasions or form. Goddammit."
