Chapter 1304: A Forced Vacation on a Neighbouring Planet
"Second...Finger!"
At the mention of her title, the grey-eyed woman, Rosaline Keasatra, waved at Laurene and spoke casually.
"Hello there, Princess. Good to see you again. It seems Mr Evan told you a lot about me. No surprise there."
"What did you do?!" Zaos demanded, law energy erupting from his body in furious waves.
With Rosaline’s appearance here, he was now certain that Altrishia’s sudden departure was the work of the Demonic Hand.
However, Rosaline shook her head in response to his demand and replied, "I have no idea why Altrishia suddenly left. My boss isn’t exactly fond of giving me too much detail, since he knows I’d tell you if I could."
She shrugged helplessly, then exhaled softly.
"You all must’ve been preparing to head to Isolon, right? With your Sovereign Level subordinates and all, you must be planning to stop what Cellica is up to, right?"
Zaos didn’t respond to Rosaline, only silently calculating how best to get Eliza, Laurene and Abigail out of there in the event of a fight.
’This is the deepest part of Elverston, and she easily infiltrated without triggering any alarms...!’
He didn’t dare trigger those alarms either, since even if he brought all the soldiers of the castle there, it would be useless against Rosaline. Meeting her in person, he was now certain that Evan’s claims about her power hadn’t been exaggerated.
However, the woman he was so wary of was only waiting for him to answer her question, and seeing that he didn’t respond, she asked another.
"Where is Mr Evan?"
Eliza’s expression turned ugly at her question, and, instantly noticing it, Rosaline sighed.
"So you don’t know where he is..."
"How dare you—?!"
"Hold on there, Ms Eliza," Rosaline cut in. "I understand your anger towards me because of my affiliation with the ones responsible for Mr Evan currently being missing, but I’ll have you know I had nothing to do with it—that’s what I’d like to say, but unfortunately, I was the one who was ordered to take that bomb to another planet and repair it so it can be used."
"!"
Rosaline casually revealed the truth about how the Thermal Accumulation Bomb could be used against Evan, drawing shock from everyone present.
"I was planning to create a cosmic gate to leave the planet, and unfortunately, my boss found out I intended to leave the planet at some point, so he ordered me that whenever I left, I was to take the damaged bomb with me, do everything possible to repair it, and then bring it back."
She chuckled after speaking, a wry smile appearing on her face as she continued, "He definitely knew I’d leave it there if he didn’t include that last part. I don’t really like him, you see."
From Rosaline’s tone and demeanour, one would think she was having a chat with friends, but this was a tense situation where a fight between two Transcendents could break out at any moment.
"Oh well, I’ve already said too much and now my hand’s starting to hurt," Rosaline continued just as casually.
She pulled her right hand from her pocket, then slid off the black glove she was wearing, revealing a glowing mark on the back of her right palm.
"Mr Evan’s probably told you a lot about me, so I’m guessing he’s told you what this is, right?"
The glowing red mark on the back of her palm, radiating powerful magic energy and law energy, was identical to a mark Evan had shown them before while speaking about Rosaline.
"Command Mark..." Laurene muttered, which seemed to please Rosaline.
"Ah, good. So the fact that I’m here and this thing on my hand is glowing," Rosaline paused, tilting her head slightly. "You understand what this means, don’t you?"
She didn’t need to say anything more for them to understand.
The First Finger of the Demonic Hand had given her an Order through the Command Mark that bound her.
"Stop all Non-Demonic Hand Transcendents, as well as anyone affiliated with Evan Eris, with the exception of Leoniel Franco, from reaching Isolon today."
Rosaline revealed the order Ferrid had given her, then covered her hand with her glove and spoke again.
"Leaving aside the fact that your defeat is guaranteed, I don’t want to accidentally kill any of Mr Evan’s friends, so please just stay put and don’t go anywhere."
It seemed like she genuinely didn’t want to fight, but the purity of her intentions meant nothing right now.
Zaos quietly tapped the underside of his watch against his body, sending an alarm signal to Vulwin, then condensed magic power to summon a staff in his hands.
Seeing this, Rosaline shook her head.
"You wouldn’t win," she said softly, without a trace of doubt in her words.
Zaos responded by activating his Pseudo-Authority, and sensing it, Rosaline exhaled softly.
Immediately, dense spatial law energy burst from her body, expanding the space around them, and Abigail’s eyes widened instantly.
"She’s using cosmic energy!"
"!"
Zaos was already moving before Abigail’s words reached his ears, but what should’ve been a distance he could cross in less than a second stretched out thousands of times under the effect of Rosaline’s Spatial Expansion.
Then, she moved her right hand forward, an egregious amount of cosmic energy swirling around her palm as she spoke.
"The Child of Space Commands you."
Zaos’s staff slashed forward, dozens of wind blades ripping through the air toward her, and right before they could make contact, Rosaline muttered a command.
"Be Displaced."
Instantly, the reality around them fractured like broken glass, each person present caught within a different shard. Cosmic and spatial law energy wrapped around Zaos, Eliza, Laurene, and Abigail, and with a flash of light, all four of them vanished.
Rosaline lowered her hand right after, exhaling softly as she shook her head.
"A pity. I would’ve liked for you to visit our neighbouring planet under more friendly circumstances. It’s a nice place for a vacation."
Rosaline slipped her hands back into her pockets after casually displacing four people to another planet with her Ultimate Seed, but the burning sensation on the back of her palm from the Command Mark reminded her that her task wasn’t done.
’Tsk...he accounted for loopholes.’
The woman grumbled internally as ambient cosmic energy bent to her will, wrapping around her and quietly teleporting her off the Beta Continent.
