Chapter 1259: Susahan Delegation (2)
Sweeping her golden eyes across those of us that remained on the dais, Lady Merneith’s lips curled into a derisive sneer as she replied "We were attacked thrice. Cultists each and every time. Nothing that the Queendom can shoulder blame for in particular..."
The Sphinx left it at that, causing the Queen to stiffen for a moment before she smoothly said "But of course the blame falls on us, even if just slightly. I’ll send out a detachment of the Canopy to sweep the countryside at once. And of course-"
Giving the larger Noble a smile, the Queen gestured behind her - and more specifically, towards me - as she added "-I shall have something suitable prepared for you and your delegation, Lady Merneith. Such tribulations on your way here... it is unbecoming of us."
Snorting softly and focusing her golden eyes on me, the Sphinx narrowed them and just stared before she looked back down at the Queen, asking "Perhaps this would be better discussed over a meal? We have ventured many hours today..."
"Of course! Please, follow me. I have had our chefs prepare a wide variety of cuisine for us to dine on, both local and some familiar to you. I hope you enjoy it."
The Queen beckoned for everyone to follow her as she began to walk towards the castle, and after a moment Lady Merneith strode forwards and walked beside her, her muscular arms crossed over her chest as she looked around curiously.
Remaining beside Renna, I leaned close and murmured "She’s... incredible.", causing my wife to glance at me cooly and not deigning to give me a reply; I just took that with a chuckle and gazed at the powerful movements of the Sphinx, admiring her impressive coat from afar.
I didn’t think I would ever feel this way but there was actually something about her sculpted hindquarters that was causing heat to pool inside of my loins, and seeing those hips of hers moving to and fro was just...
Despite being practically an animal, what I was seeing right now was turning me a whole hell of a lot, and honestly I wasn’t sure if I should be disgusted with myself or just acknowledge that this was so... me.
What made it ’worse’ was Lady Merneith turning to glare at me, her golden eyes flashing with a mixture of emotions that I couldn’t quite catch as she acknowledged my gaze, though she said nothing... but she didn’t need to.
All of the members of the delegation turned to glance at me too, some with intrigue and others with disdain, yet no one said anything... but a look was telling me quite a bit about a few of them, like the golden clad warrior smirking at me as she looked down at my tits.
Or the somewhat overweight and swarthy Noble who wore simpler robes giving me a look of unbridled disgust and hostility, like I had done something to offend her personally; it was odd, but it was... not of importance.
Not to me, anyways, because what mattered the most was the Sphinx, and she looked away from me a minute later, leaving me be and instead saying something to the Queen, who gave a reply; we continued to walk while they continued to chat, and boredom eventually took root in me as I had to walk quietly beside my wife.
No flirting, no outright declarations of lust, just a long walk inside of the castle that eventually found us in one of the many grand halls that oozed importance and wealth; it was a wide open area with multiple couches and chairs scattered around, allowing people to talk quietly whilst still being apart of something ’larger’.
"Would you care to dine first or would you like to freshen up?"
"Freshen up, Queen Florage. Like I said it was a long journey..."
Nodding and clapping her hands once, the Queen summoned a swarm of maids to come take care of the delegation, giving them simple orders before bidding the delegation a restful thirty minutes before a wonderful meal.
I was prepared to find a small space and absolutely rail Renna to pass the time when Lady Merneith asked "Who might the veiled woman there be? I’ve heard of no such Noble amongst your people...", freezing me in place as anticipation began to grow inside of me.
"That is Miss Astra, a... rather sociable and resourceful woman. Someone who has earned herself a spot wherever she pleases, interestingly enough. She has also volunteered herself to ’smooth’ things out between us, if the need arises."
Lady Merneith nodded slowly and stared at me, her golden eyes flashing with something else now before she asked "Miss Astra, would you be willing to accompany me to my chambers?", to which I gave a deep curtsy and replied "It would be an honor, Lady Merneith."
A white haired maid with striking red eyes stepped forwards smoothly and escorted us to the chambers that Lady Merneith would inhabit for these upcoming days, opening the doors to the opulent rooms before leaving us be.
The moment we were alone in those chambers the Spinx rolled out her shoulders, looking down at me in silence for a few seconds before she said "I require a bath, Miss Astra, where I expect every single inch of me to be cleaned.", her tone leaving no room for an argument.
Not that I would have offered one anyways, but the tone alone was something that told me this Sphinx was going to be quite the fun person to be around, especially if those inches she was talking about happened to be dangling between her chiseled and furred legs.
"And it would be my honor, Lady Merneith, to serve you in any way you see fit. I am here to serve, after all."
Again she stared at me in silence, those golden eyes filled with a myriad of thoughts that I couldn’t decipher... but one of them was something familiar to me; there was lust in her eyes, and as she strode slowly towards the lavish bathroom I shivered in anticipation as I followed behind her, wondering what was about to happen.
