Chapter 1258: Susahan Delegation (1)
The days came and went as we began to prepare for the arrival of the Susahan Delegation, with Renna spending most of her free time arranging everything that we were going to need for their arrival, from wine to an abundance of cock sleeves just in case.
She also worked with the Madam to determine what we could and couldn’t do inside of the room at the Cornucopia, which ended up being pretty much everything besides destroying it... obviously I wasn’t planning on that, but knowing that one of our visitors was someone like Prixisia...
Half animal half mortal... that was a fascinating combination, and on top of that this Sphinx was meant to be a member of a very important, very bloodthirsty and also extremely powerful House that ruled a fair bit of the Sultanate.
Merneith was the name of that House, and thinking that I was going to be meeting someone that was half lion and half mortal was honestly quite exciting, especially since the other Lionkin that I knew was very good at fucking me into a stupor.
With that as my baseline things were looking very good for me, and Renna also seemed a bit intrigued by this Merneith since it would not only be her first time meeting a Sphinx too but also a way to gauge the one who was meant to take over this powerful House in the future.
Being able to scope out the future Heir to a House as powerful as that must have been exciting for her, but I was also beginning to see just how much I had influenced her already since the amount of cock sleeves she was ordering was...
That was going to be a fun orgy we were going to be having...
I also noticed that she never really gave me a reply on whether or not she was going to be joining me when I entertained the delegation at large or when I was entertaining Lady Merneith in particular, which made me very~ excited for the future~!
Only three days had passed during our wait yet it felt like forever, and as I stood alongside the two Duchesses, the four Magistrates and the Royal Family I could feel my excitement washing away the nerves that came from me constantly wondering if I had done enough.
Had I prepared my dance well enough?
Were the wines I brewed up to par?
The custom rings that I was going to offer up as a gift to them, alongside those bracelets... were they good enough for these visiting Nobles?
Was my garb beneath these robes enough for them to slake their need for release?
All kinds of questions rattled around in my brain, each one getting pushed out as I instead just focused on the raised orange and gold flags that announced the presence of this visiting delegation.
"Remember, they are here for many different reasons. We have maps that require redrawn borders, claims over mines and hunting grounds, potential alliances through blood... There is a lot on the line here, so please..."
Sweeping her gaze over us all, the Queen gave us each a look before she said "Be on your best behavior, all of you. Some of them are going to be crass, some of them are going to be... ’Nobles’. Unless they go too far, keep everything to yourselves, alright?"
The chorus of affirmations she received helped assure her that we really did understand, so she nodded and crossed her arms behind her back, sighing softly as she waited for them to finally get up to the entrance of the Palace.
It took a few minutes, but when they did get here it was most certainly in style; all of them were sitting on top of sleek black furred monsters that radiated raw, terrifying power, their ruby red eyes and golden claws glinting in the sunlight as they stopped in front of us.
The people riding them were adorned in a variety of clothing or armor, but none of them were in anything simple; the cloth was expertly woven with all kinds of patterns on it while the armor was engraved, denoting its use as ceremonial armor... yet even then I could see the threads of magic woven into it.
All of them were armed, with scimitars or daggers resting on their belts while spears were strapped to the saddles of the beasts they rode in on; all of their weapons were masterfully made and enchanted, serving as both a weapon as well as a symbol of their status.
And yet even the one who arrived in golden armor with a bejeweled scimitar on her hip was outshone by who could only be Lady Merneith, who prowled forwards with a half scowl and arrogance as she moved towards the Queen.
Her lower half was rippling muscle and lustrous golden fur, with golden bejeweled caps adorning her claws in place of rings; just her lower half stood at five feet tall, making her a very imposing figure without even acknowledging that she was half lion.
Her torso and arms were mainly bare, olive skin pulled taut over more rippling muscle and partially concealed by blazing orange cloth that glimmered beneath the sun; long black hair fell onto her shoulders, while her striking gold eyes were overflowing with power and thinly concealed disdain.
In total Lady Merneith was about eight and a half feet tall, brimming with power and clearly accustomed to being the one in charge, because the moment she walked up towards the dais she crossed her arms over her abundant chest and said "The Susahan Delegation has arrived, Queen Luteia Florage."
The deep, raspy voice that came from her made many of the gathered citizens step back, while the one she directed that at just smiled and nodded, stepping down so that they were standing on the same ground; a gesture of respect that also ended with Lady Merneith staring down at our Queen.
"Welcome to Birchan, Lady Merneith. I hope your journey was uneventful?"
