Chapter 929: Chapter 929: Blues The Butler
Leonine Heaven.
The Apex Pyramid.
More than a thousand creatures fell from the sky, dropping out of the Dimensional System Portal that had appeared above.
As they descended, many of these creatures revealed their true forms and their auras.
*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!...*
One after another, these creatures landed on the ground in front of the Apex Pyramid, causing the hard ground to shake and the air to thicken.
They had all landed in the form of an assembly, keeping some distance away from each other.
When it was all cleared and the dust had settled, who they were was confirmed.
The Primordials, all of them that were now in Kael’s League of Primordials.
Standing at the very front were those who had started with Kael.
Marcus, the Primordial Vulture. Ralph, the Primordial Wolf. Ivana, the Primordial Fox, and many more.
Others like Natalia and Louise were missing for various reasons.
Behind them, the others were present.
Claudia, Shawn, D’dei, the Primordial Falcon, the Primordial Goat, the Primordial Pig, the Primordial Mantis, the Primordial Worm, the Primordial Snake.
All of them were in their true forms.
From the front, the massive grey wolf walked to the front as his body began to transform.
His heavy steps became light as he took on a smaller bipedal form.
Once he had created some distance between himself and the assembly, he raised his hand to touch the walls of the Apex Pyramid.
Despite being so powerful, Ralph could not force his way into the
Ralph was now in his nearly seven-foot-tall humanoid form, with long grey hair and beards, as well as piercing yellow eyes that scanned the crowd.
Resting on his broad shoulders was that familiar white fur cloak.
Standing with his muscular arm still raised, the Master of Wolfkind paused his movements as he sensed someone coming.
Before his knuckles could touch the metal surface, it shifted and folded away, revealing a brightly lit corridor to Ralph and the others.
When opened, the person who stood on the other side of the entrance was not the All-King, nor was it a lion or one of his consorts.
It was a tall man with bright blue hair and striking blue eyes. He wore a tight-fitting dark blue butler suit with a white inner shirt and black shoes.
He was on the slim side when compared to muscle units like Ralph.
This man’s unnatural choice of color was not what shocked those who saw him. It was his aura.
It was almost like the All-King’s except that it was blue and way more submissive in contrast to the gold and oppressive aura of the All-King.
His face was shaven and there was no facial hair besides eyebrows and the two side burns.
His head was raised slightly, not too much, as if he was struggling to be humble. He had to struggle.
After all, these were his colleagues, not his Juniors.
This blue-haired and blue-eyed man was none other than Blues, the Primordial Dog of Loyalty.
He had already finished his integration into the society of dogs and was now aware of the role he had to play in the grand scheme of things.
The personal assistant to the All-King.
"Greetings Master Ralph," Blues said, his accent was still there, the city of Landan had not yet let go of him.
But a lot was more refined and sounded a lot like aristocratic vocabulary.
"Blues, greetings..." Ralph said, eyeing Blues with a hint of jealousy in his yellow eyes that scanned the latter thoroughly.
Blues nodded his head, "I assume the hunt is over," He stated, scanning the crowd and seeing those unfamiliar faces.
"For now," Ralph said, "We have to regroup and integrate these. Besides, the remaining that are left to find are less than a hundred.
Besides that, the total list involves Primordials who were actually alive but have all died a long time ago.
For now, we consolidate," Ralph explained. He didn’t give a detailed explanation, just enough to satisfy Blues.
Blues kept his hands behind his back, "I see, that is good," He said. He had not followed them out to hunt those Primordials because he was needed here, by his master’s side.
"I want to see the All-King," Ralph said, "We have been trying to contact him but he hasn’t responded."
Blues nodded with an indifferent smile to add, "Ah yes, the All-King just went into an evolution session.
Unfortunately, he wouldn’t be meeting anyone till further notice.
If you want to visit him, I strongly suggest talking to one of his clones..." Blues said.
Ralph looked into Blues’ eyes and figured that the latter was being truthful. He had to be. Blues had no reason to lie.
He was now the second strongest entity in the whole League after all. Dishonesty was a luxury enjoyed by the powerful and a necessity for the weak.
If Blues had the chance to lie, he surely wouldn’t waste it on such delicate matters.
"Where are his clones?" Marcus asked, coming from behind. All of them were standing like corn stalks as they waited for Ralph to converse with Blues.
They had all discussed before coming and had told each other that they would all arrange themselves like this to impress the All-King.
Now, they looked a little stupid.
"Don’t worry, the King is aware and he should send you a message anytime soon. The nearest clone will locate you guys..." Blues was saying.
He stood firmly in front of the entrance, a sign that absolutely no one was going to enter the Apex Pyramid without his permission.
The loyal guard dog.
"That’s the thing, communication with the system has been off lately. Messages are sent but they are not being received.
Haven’t you checked the Dog System yet?" Ralph asked, frowning.
Hearing this, Blues was quiet for some seconds. His eyes flashed with light, multiple blue screens appearing and disappearing from his view very quickly.
Soon, his gaze settled and he looked at Ralph.
"It would appear that there may be some delays in the energy used to power the systems.
Don’t worry, it might just be a side effect of the All-King’s evolution. It should be solved soon..."
Blues paused, bringing his head down to think.
Suddenly, he took a step forward, releasing his hands from his back.
"Listen well Primordials, the All-King sends a message."
