Chapter 928: Chapter 928: Our Darling Mad God
They remembered, they remembered it all like it was yesterday.
They remembered it with such vivid imagery that the emotions were still there. It was as though they had been frozen in the moment of battle, forced into a slumber and now they were woken.
And with their rise from a nearly eternal slumber, came utter grieving for their great loss.
Oh Change, their god, their darling mad god. How much had he suffered without them?
Alone, in Myriad Heaven, no one to talk to for all these years. No one to talk to him, nothing to interact with.
Myriad Heaven was not like this in the past. There used to be no need for the soil and sky to constantly change shape, the inhabitants would change their environments by themselves.
But look at what they had done to him? Look at what they had done to their darling mad god.
Such sin could not be forgiven. Even death could not sufficiently wipe out such offense.
The slimes, having just woken up, felt the full weight of the years they had missed, their god funneled memories into their minds, letting them know what had occurred.
Yes, they remember it now. They remember it properly.
The stars were extinguished on that very day. On that very day, the veil that separated the multiverse from this universe was nearly torn asunder by Change.
The very thing that had wiped out the monkeys for, that was what the slime god wanted to do.
He seemed to have gone mad after being exposed to the Other Law. No, he seemed to have been exposed to a truth so fascinating that he was willing to shatter everything to learn more.
He was willing to reach the other side, even if it meant he would endanger this universe.
He didn’t care. The world outside was more interesting than what was here. The multiverse promised growth, experience, and an eternity of never being bored.
They said he had gone mad, that he was out of his mind. They said he was selfish.
But was he?
Was he not the great liberator?
Without him, the universe would remain stagnant. Without him, there would be no progress.
His change was the reason the universe was so interesting in the first place. Indirectly or directly, he and his Law had contributed to the growth of every creature that was alive.
And what did they do to him when he attempted to enforce his will?
What did they do?
They attacked.
The Ant God, a new creature of the Divine Tier, had been bold. He went for Change, seeking to prove his worth as the newborn.
The Ant God was beaten so badly, he was dismantled within a few minutes. The Colony Heaven was raised and ravaged thoroughly, leaving broods and nests empty and destroyed.
They had underestimated something. They had underestimated just how devoted Change was to his own devices.
And if it was to be looked at figuratively, Change and Order were bound to be one of the Great adversaries ever.
After all, for order to reign, it must be rigid. And rigidity required heavily regulated or a complete lack of change.
Change could not operate in a fully orderly universe.
A little chaos here and there, but who would agree to such a truth?
Change, being more experienced and being one of the first gods in the history of the universe, was able to easily overpower the Ant God.
Some say that he would have truly killed the Ant God with the means he was using, but no one would ever know.
At that last moment, when millions of galaxies had ceased to exist, when countless civilizations had evaporated, never to be remembered, and when the Outerverse was widened enough to let a god pass through, that was when the Highest Will appeared.
The exact details of that battle were not clear. For most of the witnesses who survived to remember, all they had seen was an elephant trunk the length of a thousand galaxies.
And then, it all went blank.
The slimes did not remember anything after that. And today, they rose from their ground, their bodies reconstructed to the perfection it once was before they perished.
Their souls, having been trapped for so long to prevent accidental reincarnation, have been returned to the bosom of their darling mad god.
Their darling mad god, the one who could ever love them as they were.
Imagine the rage and sorrow they felt when they saw all that he had endured without them for so long.
They had to do something, they had to vent. The universe needed some serious change anyway...

*BOOM!*
Kael’s connection to the mind of the slime closest to him was cut short as the slime cube compressed itself in the ground and launched itself into the distance.
Kael was a little surprised at the amount of information he was able to gain from that mind reading. He was only able to get information about what happened right before they died and the little that Change had funneled into their minds.
Whether those memories were true didn’t actually matter.
Kael was also surprised that that particular slime survived that mind reading.
Not just that one. Around them, countless slimes were launching themselves into the distance.
Most of them were shaped like deformed orbs while some were shaped like cubes, prisms, or were completely shapeless.
No matter what color or shape they were, it could be seen that they all had the same power type, being able to change form at will.
This was very different from the Primordial Chameleon and her Law of Camouflage which was probably an emergent law of the Law of Change.
This was an outright ability to become anything anytime they wanted.
Kael thirsted for this power. But he had to wait.
Kael looked at the vast ocean of slime beings launching into the air to intercept the incoming army of ants.
Right before they clashed, Kael turned away, peeling his eyes from the scene. His heart was beating frantically and his blood was hot.
What Change was doing, his mannerisms, was coincidentally similar to the defiant nature of the lions. Not only did Kael approve of it, but he was tempted to join in on the fun.
Thankfully, his logical will was much stronger.
"They will cover us, let us begin," Kael said with a deep voice and a growl to accompany it.
Seth glanced one more time at the sky and the realm-shaking battle that was happening between the two factions because of them and nodded.
He brought his palms to his waist level. He saw the claws and with his will, he commanded them to shrink away.
What replaced it was the manifestation of the Formula, just like in the Outer Hole Galaxy.
It sprouted like a complex jade flower woven from the ethereal silk of an angelic spider.
And just like before, Seth allowed the Foreign Essence to influence his creation of the Freedom Formula.
Seconds flew by and Seth had stabilized the formula.
This was as far as he could go with it on his own. Like this, he would be able to escape from Myriad Heaven with Kael and a few other power immortals.
But that was not enough. They needed enough power to push a god through the rules that surrounded the heavenly realm.
They needed enough energy to rival the whole heavenverse and a heavenly realm.
That was the kind of energy the All-King possessed.
"Anytime now," Seth said, keeping the formula stable in his grasp as he waited for Kael.
Kael looked at Seth with suspicion. It became even more apparent that he had made a slight blunder in his plans and he may be feeding a monster.
Knowing that there might be hiccups from this, Kael decided on something drastic. If he can’t win, no one will.
He subscribed to this philosophy to the very end.
But, what else could he do?
Sighing, Kael raised his two hands.
He brought them to his chest where it was revealed that all five of his golden claws had emerged.
With a swift movement of his hands, Kael’s fingers pierced into his chest and he pulled them out.
Out from the opening chest of this clone flowed pure power and energy. Not just any type of energy, but the type that was raw and unfiltered.
All the energy and Essence that had been reserved for the systems was being flushed out through the body of this clone.
"Follow the plan..." Kael said, his tone carrying a vague but very real threat.
The war was raging in Draconic Heaven.
In the mortalverse, the avatar of slavery was spreading his influence wherever his tendrils could reach.
The heavenverse was under immense pressure as the chain binding Myriad Heaven was about to be cut loose.
On the other side, various gods were sensing all this and realizing that there were no longer any consequences of interfering.
And most of all, the original body of the All-King had finally stabilized himself after acquiring so many laws, unbeknownst to everyone, he was evolving.
The universe was not ready for what was to come, it wasn’t meant for this type of stress.
