Chapter 925: Chapter 925: Slime

"Change, greetings," Kael said to the sky.

His voice erupted from the depths of his chest, reverberating across the atmosphere of the vicinity and causing the soil beneath their paws to shake slightly.

Seth looked at the sky. It was colorful, yes, but it remained largely unchanged, and there was no reaction to it because of Kael’s greetings.

"Maybe let us climb out first and make ourselves comfortable before we draw the attention of a literal god," Seth said, apprehensive as his senses were spread out.

This was his first time entering the realm of an entity in the Divine Tier, he was completely inexperienced in this matter and it pained him that he had to look to Kael for answers.

Kael did not immediately react to Seth’s vocal jab; he kept staring at the sky for a few more seconds before lowering his head, still maintaining his smile.

He knew for a fact that they had been noticed. In fact, they had been scanned, they had been observed, and they had been understood in the best way possible.

For a realm that was supposed to represent the home of a being that literally symbolized change, this place was rather...static.

Kael bent his hind legs and leaped into the sky. His form was launched out of the crater and he landed on the open flat soil.

Shortly after, Seth landed next to him. Seth had to stand this close to Kael because this was technically the safest place to be.

Both against Kael and against any foreign forces.

When Kael looked around, what he saw fully convinced him that he had definitely been noticed and something was wrong.

The place was too peaceful.

The soil beneath them was just too calm and flat. For as far as his eyes could see, blackish-brown soil was all that could be seen.

The sky above was colorful, looking like a vast paint canvas of the most random designs frozen in time.

No clouds, no air, just soil, a colorful sky, and gravity.

This Myriad Heaven was somehow different. It was not separated into vast void spaces with smaller floating continents populating the spaces.

Kael completely ignored Seth. He focused on the sky again and reaffirmed his stance.

"Change, I have come to free you, show yourself!" Kael said, his voice taking on a deeper and very authoritative tone.

To be ignored the first time was something he would tolerate, but it definitely got on his nerves. He was not here to play games or act mysterious.

He was running out of time.

Seth flung his head at Kael with shock masking his furry cat face. The way Kael talked this time was too commanding, as if he was talking to his servant.

It was provocative.

And as expected, it evoked a reaction.

Suddenly, the skies and soil began to twist and turn in the distance.

The paint-like sky folded downward, forming a protrusion shaped like a nipple that lowered down enough to touch the rising pillar of soil.

Kael looked at this with a narrowed expectant gaze while Seth became more guarded as he looked on with vigilance.

When the liquid paint sky touched the rising soil, they mixed, creating something bizarre and extraordinary.

Right before the eyes of Kael and Seth, the two major parts of the realm combined to form a semi-transparent greenish-blue slime ball.

The slime ball wasn’t too big, just about two or so meters wide.

When the rising soil fell back to the ground the descending sky ascended back to where it was meant to be, the ball of slime fell due to the effects of gravity.

Upon touching the ground, there was a comical bouncy sound as the ball of slime bounced on the ground and literally pivoted to the two felines.

Seth flinched, how could he not? All that was happening was the reaction of a god to Kael’s provocative tone.

Kael on the other hand actually took one powerful step forward and lowered his center of gravity.

The concept of backing down was so foreign to the instinct of a king, he could not even fathom it.

The only time kings retreated was when there was hope of fighting and winning the battle another day.

But looking around and looking at where they were, this was the only chance they would ever get.

There was no room for failure, defeat was entirely unaffordable.

So, in the face of a possible conflict, the only reason for an unforgiving king was to move forward.

Maybe it was the sheer audacity of the golden lion, or the majestic aura that he emitted, but the slime landed in front of Kael and did not move a single inch forward.

As though Kael’s very form blocked it from doing what it had actually intended to do.

The gelatinous ball of slime shivered and shook in its position, forming different little shapes on its surface.

There was no particular organ for direct speech but it was able to communicate effortlessly through telepathy.

"What kind of creature are you?" That was the first comprehensible sentence that Kael and Seth were able to understand from the slime.

A question, and a very good one at that.

If Kael was to go by what Reincarnation had told him, then it meant that Change was part of the first generation of races and among the first gods.

He walked amongst mortals and Immortals alike into the era of the second generation of races where the dragons, ants, elephants, and more were born.

That was the time he was also sealed by the Highest Will.

The Felines, with the Lions included, only appeared during the beginning of the third generation era.

Along with the wolves, zebras, rats, various birds, and thousands of other creatures.

Technically, being sealed here meant that Change or anyone that had been here with him had never seen any creature from the Third Generation of Races.

It was normal for him to not be able to recognize the feline anatomy of Seth and Kael despite his obviously vast record of memories.

"I’m a Lion, he’s a Cat. Good to see you doing well, Change," Kael said as his body started shrinking and changing.

Seth followed after.

They turned into their humanoid forms, assuming a more peaceful appearance.

Seeing this, the slime recoiled. How it was able to see what was happening around it was a deep mystery that might never be solved but all that mattered was that it saw Kael and Seth’s intentions through their actions and reciprocated.

The shape of the slime changed, soon forming the humanoid shape of a tall faceless entity.

It did not remain faceless for long too as facial features began to be formed. A set of lips, a strange nose without nostrils, two eyes.

The face was perfectly symmetric, looking memorable and forgetful at the same time.

"You know me," The slime man said as he stepped closer to Kael, matching the latter’s gaze very easily with his blank ones.

"Yes," Kael said with a smirk, "Change, god of slimes, the embodiment of all changes and will change, the master of Myriad Heaven, the sealed god.

And most importantly, the enemy of the Highest Will..."

Hearing that last part, the slime man furrowed his slime eyebrows.

"..." The slime man did not say anything. All Kael had said was true, but he was also thinking of other things.

"I’m sure you are thinking of whether to kill us or do something shady. Can’t blame you, I would think of doing the same..." Kael said while putting his arms behind his back.

Seth eyed the slime man, knowing that this was merely a manifestation and not the true body. He refused to believe that a legendary Divine Tier would look so...ordinary.

"But we came to help you escape. And I’m sure that you are tired of staying here for so many years without breathing that fresh essence of the outside universe.

You should already know that these are just clones, so there’s that.

But I’ll be straight to the point with you, we don’t have much time..."

Kael and this slime man then began a high-speed telepathic one-sided conversation.

Kael began to carefully offload a series of information while the slime man just stood there, sometimes nodding, sometimes frowning, and sometimes just going still.

But there was not a single iota of that Mad God that everyone described as having been affected by the Other Law.

Kael went on to tell the slime man who was supposedly Change, what had been happening mostly with the Highest Will.

He described the wars, the significant events, the key characters that led up to this point.

Of course, Kael withheld some information, definitely not planning on revealing Reincarnation’s role despite her previous backlash.

She helped him out anyway.

"...And because we are trying to free you, the whole universe has turned against us and the Ant God is right behind us."

Kael finished and looked up. The slime man also looked up just in time to see something up in the sky.

Who knew when it would but the enemy had already started clawing their way through the other crash hole left behind by Seth and Kael’s forceful intrusion.

Ants, billions, hundreds of billions.
