Chapter 156: 2.36 Eerth (1)
Julius and Rissa looked around in amazement at all the humans with pets roaming Connor’s hometown.
"Are you sure you’re ok stopping by your house?" Celeste asked empathetically.
"Yes, Koda and I will be fine. There are some things I’d like to grab and there is a lot to explain to you about this planet." Connor said while Koda trotted by his side.
They eventually walked up to a two story home, painted blue and white with a white picket fence. Their mailbox read "Gray" and was stuffed full with mail. Connor grabbed the lot, handed it to Rissa, who gladly carried it, despite not knowing what it was, and they followed him inside after he unlocked the door.
"Woah, you have a really nice house." Julius said as he examined the walls, filled with pictures of Connor and his family.
"I’m really sorry to hear about your family... They’re beautiful." Rissa said sweetly as she pet Koda.
"Koda seemed to really enjoy them as well. Sorry buddy." Rissa added.
"Thanks, they’re with Athena and everyone else in Paradise. I wonder if they’ve met Sora yet?" Connor asked.
"It is unlikely." Celeste said with a hint of sadness. "Sora, Brie and Xander are probably in Athena’s realm or in a space where they can practice far from the resting souls."
"That makes sense." Connor said with a slight frown. "I just hope they’re happy."
"I’m sure they are," Celeste smiled.
"Paradise is quite remarkable. One day you will know and you will be with them again." She explained and Koda nuzzled her and Connor smiled.
"Thanks, that means a lot, especially coming from you. You were so thoughtful on your tour. How can I ever repay you for that?" Connor asked nervously.
"I don’t need you to repay me. I’m just glad I could help cheer you and Koda up. You wouldn’t have been able to come here 3 days ago." Celeste admitted.
"So that means it’s been 3 years in Paradise for Sora, Brie and Xander?" Julius asked.
"Xander’s going to be 18 about the same time I am, that’ll be weird." he laughed at his own joke.
"Well, I’d like to explain more about Eerth to everyone in my living room if you don’t mind. Let me go grab a few things first. Koda, please stay with our guests." Connor said politely.
They sat on the couch and Koda grabbed a remote and handed it to Julius. He turned on the TV, surprised it wasn’t news.
They flipped through the channels in amazement at the amount of different things there were to watch.
"Are those sports? What are they doing with that ball?" Rissa asked.
"No clue. Looks like there’s two teams and they keep score somehow." Julius laughed.
Koda nodded his head and Celeste laughed.
"I think he’s trying to tell us that they are sports."
Julius eventually landed on a movie.
"Now this should be good. We only have like 10,000 at Sora’s, so one we don’t know about would be great!" Julius joked while rolling his eyes.
"Aw, this is a romantic one," Celeste smiled, looking at Rissa and Julius who were happily holding hands while Koda rested his head on Rissa’s lap.
"Sorry I took so long," Connor said as he came down the stairs with a backpack.
Julius turned off the TV and they turned to Connor, who was nervous.

"Why are you so nervous buddy? You got through the hard part. What’s on your mind?" Julius asked as Connor sat in an end chair and Koda jumped on his lap.
"There’s been word of a magic using human with a cat companion I think we should track down." Connor explained.
"Remember when I explained that not every human has a pet and not every pet has a companion?"
The three nodded.
"Then I explained that Eerth was never blessed with ability users or magic users like the other planets of Exteria?" Connor continued.
They nodded again.
"Anyway, when we were on Nexus and I met Sora, I overheard some lads talking about someone named Shawn with a companion named Kory. Apparently he uses water abilities and his companion can also use magic. No one knows where to find them, though. That’s why I brought you, Celeste. I was hoping you’d be able to help track him down." Connor said with a large grin.
"I’m certainly happy to help. Finding someone with magical abilities among those without should be quite simple. Sora isn’t here to give him a party seal, though. What do you plan on doing once we meet him?" Celeste asked.
"I didn’t think of that. Crap. We can’t exactly trust someone we just met to come back to the mansion without Sora’s seal, can we?" Connor asked as he ran his hand through his hair.
"He won’t even know who Sora, Brie or Xander are, unless he’s somehow heard of Exteria through Nexus." Koda said.
"You’re right. It’ll be tricky to convince someone of his ability to travel with us back to Exteria as well." Connor added.
"Maybe his companion and I could come to some sort of agreement?" Koda suggested.
"What do you mean?" Connor asked, confused.
"Well, it’s not like I can go around telling everyone Sora’s secrets, can I?" Koda laughed. "Maybe I can peak the companions interest about a race that exists on another planet that can understand companions. Celeste could listen and speak to this Kory you speak of."
"That’s brilliant!" Celeste added.
"Sorry, I overhear everything, sometimes it gets hard to tune out. It’s better than Julius and Rissa counting down the days until Julius turns 18, trust me." Celeste laughed.
Koda and Connor both laughed, causing Julius and Rissa to look at them funny.
"What’s so funny?" Julius said while shaking his head. "I know Celeste can hear everyone."
"We were just laughing about how you two are eager for you to turn 18, that’s all," Celeste said bluntly.
Rissa immediately went flush in the face and Julius laughed.
"Well, you have always been straightforward. Anyway, what’s our plan?"
"Well, I’m going to have to find Shawn by teleporting across Eerth until I notice someone with magical ability. Then I’ll have to get him to agree to meet with us," Celeste explained.
"It’s honestly our only option and I think if we convince Shawn and his companion, Kory, to travel with us to a planet where a group of people can talk to and understand companions, they might just want to check it out." Connor said with a grin.
"It was Koda’s idea." He added while petting Koda’s head.
"So your companion is smarter than you and Celeste is sick of hearing Julius and my thoughts, got it." Rissa joked.
Everyone laughed.
"Can you blame me for wanting to be 18? We’ve been married for months now... I mean just look at your pictures. You get it, Connor, right?"
"TOO MUCH INFORMATION," Celeste yelled.
Koda snickered in his puppy form and howled as Celeste left.
"Well, now all I have to do is find him." Celeste muttered as she arrived in the central city.
"This shouldn’t take more than a day."
