Chapter 150: 2.30 The Vampire Settlement (3)

"Brie!" Sasha exclaimed as she ran and gave her a huge hug. "You feel different!"

"It’s been two years silly. Of course I feel different." Brie giggled.

"But that’s not why I’m here, I’m here because you prayed to me. What’s on your mind? It feels so heavy." Brie asked, sounding concerned.

"I’m just worried when you return Azazel will attack right away. That leaves zero time for us to catch up and what if something happens to one of us?" Sasha frowned.

Brie smiled and shook her head. "You can’t think like that! When have you ever been afraid something might happen to one of us? Never, silly! You should be happy and enjoying your time with Levi not carrying around all this weight in your head."

Sasha laughed at Brie’s hand motions around her head.

"Ok, fine. But how’s Paradise? How is Xander doing? Is Sora still living under a rock?"

"Sora actually lives rock free these days," Brie laughed.

"Xander just celebrated his fourth birthday and there’s really nothing you should worry about! We miss you all tons, but it’s also nice to get time as a family."

"So you’re telling me I shouldn’t be worrying about what happens when you get back?" Sasha glared at Brie. "Promise?"

"Yes I promise. You should be enjoying your time with Levi and your family! How is everyone?" Brie asked while she grabbed Sasha’s hands.

Sasha caught Brie up about Iris, the party, and everything going on at the Settlement.

"So you’re not sure what the others are up to? I saw Leila! That was like a year ago, though." Brie said with a smile. "Well, the night we left for you I suppose."

"Really?! All of us went in our own little groups to do our own thing, I suppose. I can’t believe Xander is four!"

"Yes, he’s doing quite well. You won’t believe this either: Leila and Ignis are married! Act surprised when you find out. That happened after I removed the memory block on Leila. Turns out dragons and phoenixes used to hate each other, who knew?" Brie laughed. "Anyway, Levi is worried sick about you. I can see him screaming to try and wake you up. Seriously, stop worrying about us. We’re doing amazing, I promise!"

"Ok, I’ll stop worrying, or at least I’ll try. Shouldn’t Levi know by now what it’s like when someone is visited by a goddess?" Sasha said as she rolled her eyes.

"Knowing and experiencing it for the first time are two completely different things. If he prays to us and you go through it, you’ll be just as scared." Brie smiled and hugged Sasha. "OH! I do have one favor to ask you though."

"Sure, what’s up?" Sasha asked curiously.

"If you see or hear anything about Eris, pray to Athena, Sora, me or Xander right away. We cannot find her anywhere right now. She went to the secret realm then vanished, met with Hades and the masked god who leads the fallen. It was strange." Brie said while tapping her chin with her index finger.

"What secret realm are you talking about? Hades? The Fallen? Brie you can’t drop a bombshell like that on me and then leave or tell me not to worry!" Sasha pleaded.

"Sorry! Azazel, Eris and Helen all work for Hades and the Fallen are all the souls that betrayed Athena and serve Hades. The masked god working for Hades is their de facto leader, Lox explained everything. Turns out he was working as a double agent when we met him in the ancient ruins. His kids were taken hostage if he didn’t comply," Brie said empathetically.

"Honestly, it’s nothing to concern yourselves with. When we return, they won’t attack right away. There are bigger things at play and Exteria, our party and our power are the first step in their bigger plans." Brie said without any worry or fear in her voice.

"You just told me not to worry and then dropped all of that on me! How can I possibly not be worried?!" Sasha exclaimed, shaking her head. "Now I’m going to worry even more!"

Brie smiled and said, "One second," and flew around Sasha’s brain, consciousness and subconscious, removing all the heavier areas of ’fog,’ she found. She reappeared and asked, "Ok, do you feel better?"

Sasha gasped, "I do, what did you do to me?!"

Brie laughed. "I’m a goddess, remember? Athena has us practicing doing things gods and goddesses would do on a regular basis while helping Xander, Sora and I harness our powers. I removed the heavy ’cloud’ or ’foggy’ areas inside you so you wouldn’t worry. I’m serious, there is nothing to worry about. When we get back, we will all have a big celebration and we will have plenty of time to catch up before Azazel attacks us. I promise."

Sasha hugged Brie as tightly as she could. "I like this new you. You’re even more confident than you were before, which is saying something because you were incredibly confident. You’re glowing like that day you became a goddess."

"Aw, thanks bestie. Now please, let everyone know we’re doing great and not to worry about Azazel, the demons or any of that. We will be there with you when that happens and it won’t be right away." Brie said as she kissed Sasha on the forehead and disappeared.

Sasha woke up to Levi gently shaking her. "It’s ok Levi... I love you." she said.

"Oh thank goodness. I thought I lost you! You weren’t breathing and you had like no pulse."

"Remember what you said when Sora, Brie and Xander were asleep after time fast-forwarded a year and four months and we didn’t know why," Sasha said with a kind smile.

Levi paused for a moment and laughed.

"So Brie visited you didn’t she? How is she doing? How are Sora and Xander?!" he exclaimed with a face full of joy. He kissed her on the forehead and said, "I’m so sorry."

"For what? Being incredibly handsome and worried for my safety?" Sasha winked.

"Sorry I worried you. I should have warned you that I prayed but I didn’t think she’d visit so quickly." She said, then kissed Levi and wrapped her arms around him.

"They’re all doing really well. She told me to stop worrying about what happens when they return and told me there are bigger things going on than just the prophecies of Exteria."

"What could possibly be bigger than Sora destroying the planet and Helen absorbing their power and all of the lifeforces of Exteria, ours included?" Levi asked, confused.

"It’s a long story and one I’ll let Sora and Brie tell when they return. She told me that when they returned we’d have a big celebration and Azazel wouldn’t attack right away." Sasha smiled as laid her head on Levi’s chest.

"She said that was just the first step. If we prevent them from moving on from step one, maybe we can just live peaceful lives," Sasha smiled.

"That would be amazing! Something tells me if Brie mentioned it, they have control of the situation in Paradise and we shouldn’t worry. Let’s just enjoy this time together ok?" Levi said, kissing her on the head.

"I agree. Plus, after tonight, it’s only 2 weeks until they return anyway. Xander just turned 4!"

"Our godson is already four?! That’s amazing! I wonder if they’ll return with any other children?"

"That would be amazing! What do you think our child will end up like?" Sasha looked up at Levi’s surprised face.

"Hopefully beautiful like you and as blessed as I’ve been by the gods," Levi said, smiling at the thought of a child.

"I had a dream that we had a boy with pink eyes and your hair." Sasha laughed.

Levi smiled, kissed her on the head and noticed Sasha had fallen fast asleep.

"A vampire Uthra with pink eyes. That would be amazing. Hopefully seeing Brie helped, my love. You feel so much less tense and worried." Levi said lovingly.

He fell asleep quickly after.
