Chapter 350: Chapter 325: Shameless Rianne Thorne (Part 2)
But they didn’t dare say a word. What good would it do? The power to open the stone gate and let them through was in the hands of those in charge. They were like lambs to the slaughter; only after the VIPs were safely out would they have a chance to make a run for it.
But things would be different if they did what Flora Bloom suggested. Every one of them had the right to survive; they wouldn’t have to give up their chance at life for someone with a special background.
Naturally, everyone wanted to follow Flora Bloom’s plan. Unfortunately, the person on the broadcast went silent.
The sound of the broadcast not only gave the pregnant women on the first floor a glimmer of hope, but it also agitated the zombies on the second floor, which began to stir restlessly.
The pregnant zombies began to swarm the iron door, pressing against it frantically. At a barred window on the second floor, some of them were recklessly throwing their bodies forward, as if trying to break the metal frame.
Seeing the commotion on the second floor, the women on the first floor began to scream in terror. The screams only agitated the zombie mothers and children above, driving them into an even greater frenzy.
The voice on the broadcast remained silent, as if they were in the middle of a discussion.
Flora Bloom leaned casually against the wall, looking amusedly at the camera. "Make your decision. Otherwise, I won’t..."
Before Flora Bloom could finish, the man on the broadcast, Keaton Thorne, spoke again. "The stone gate is opening now! Rianne, hurry and rush out with the crowd!"
As his voice came over the broadcast, the stone gate began to slowly open.

Flora Bloom shook her head. ’Looks like they’re calling my bluff, betting I don’t really have what it takes to get to the front and be the first one out.’
Just then, the iron door and the barred window on the second floor could no longer withstand the combined force of the zombies. With a loud CRASH, the section of wall the door was attached to was ripped away. Amid the sound of shattering glass, three baby zombies leaped from the window and charged into the crowd of pregnant women on the first floor.
Flora Bloom, in contrast, calmly made her way toward the slowly opening stone gate.
These pregnant women had been starved for so long; their bodies were no match for hers. Effortlessly grabbing them one-handed and tossing them backward, she reached the stone gate in just a few steps.
Suddenly, a voice Flora Bloom knew all too well came over the broadcast. Hearing it, she finally understood. ’So that’s why these base leaders knew the name of a nobody like me.’
’So it’s that troublemaker, Chelsea Todd, lying in wait to get me killed. Too bad for her, she’s barking up the wrong tree. I, Flora Bloom, am not someone you can kill just because you feel like it!’
"Everyone, grab that Flora Bloom! She has a superpower! She’s the only one who can kill the zombies behind you and get everyone out safely! Guards, don’t let that woman out! Kill her! Kill her now!"
Chelsea Todd watched Flora Bloom on the video feed, screaming almost hysterically into the microphone. Her outburst made everyone realize why she had suggested Flora Bloom stay behind to deal with the zombies for the pregnant women. This was clearly personal.
But the scene was already utter chaos. The forty or fifty pregnant women on the first floor were desperately shoving their way toward the stone gate. Rianne Thorne pushed aside several exhausted women and was about to step right on their stomachs to scramble outside.
Suddenly, a powerful force grabbed Rianne Thorne by her long hair. She was yanked back, her feet leaving the ground, and thrown onto the hard, filthy concrete floor behind her.
"Ah! You bitch! How dare you do this to me! My parents won’t let you get away with this!"

"Shameless."
Flora Bloom coolly uttered the single word, helped a fallen pregnant woman to her feet, and pushed her out through the stone gate.
The rescued woman looked at Flora Bloom with gratitude, only to see that Flora had no intention of leaving. Instead, she turned and walked back into the fray.
The stone gate hadn’t opened completely, leaving only a crack wide enough for one pregnant woman to squeeze through.
After being thrown by Flora Bloom, Rianne Thorne suddenly felt a wetness between her legs. She reached down and her hand came away covered in fresh blood.
"Blood? Blood!" Rianne Thorne screamed. "Dad, save me! This Flora Bloom is trying to kill me!"
Keaton Thorne, watching on the video feed, had of course seen everything. He was both frantic and furious at his daughter’s plea for help, wishing he could tear Flora Bloom limb from limb. But what could he do?
"Flora Bloom, I suggest you help my daughter get out of there right now. If you do, I can overlook what you’ve just done. Otherwise... I swear, I won’t let you get away with this when you get out!"
Flora Bloom smiled. "Oh? So according to Family Head Thorne, I still have a chance of getting out?"
Flora Bloom nimbly dodged the attacks of several pregnant and baby zombies, continuing her casual conversation with Keaton Thorne over the broadcast.
