"Alright, alright, I won’t say any more!"
Lu Xinyue wasn’t dumb. She understood their worries from Lu Cheng and Sun Yufeng’s tone, so she immediately shut her mouth and didn’t say anything else. However, the look on her face was still one of clear excitement.
"Son, you must be exhausted after the long train ride back. Quickly take Xiao Nian to your room to rest for a while. We’ll call you when dinner is ready!"
Sun Yufeng’s heart ached as she looked at Lu Cheng and Shen Nian. ’These two kids must be exhausted from the long train ride. And yet, to put our minds at ease, they stood here explaining and reassuring us for so long. They’re such good children!’
"Okay. Mom, Dad, we’ll go to our room now."
Lu Cheng didn’t refuse. He took Shen Nian’s hand and stood up, ready to head to their room. Shen Nian, thinking Lu Cheng must be tired, went along with him without protest.
"Yes, yes, of course. This is your own home; there aren’t so many rules. You two get some good rest."
After she spoke, Sun Yufeng shot a warning glare at Lu Xinyue, afraid she would go and disturb Lu Cheng and Shen Nian’s rest.
Lu Xinyue pouted. ’Fine, I won’t go! Anyway, now that my brother’s back, he’ll definitely be home for a few days. I’ll have plenty of time to hang out with him and my sister-in-law later. No need to rush.’
After returning to their room, Shen Nian let out a sigh of relief. Being peppered with questions by the whole family wasn’t exactly relaxing, even if she knew in her heart it was because they cared about her.
"Do you want to sleep for a bit? You must be exhausted from the trip."
"I’m fine. I slept a little on the train. You’re the one who really needs to rest!"
Shen Nian had been worried about Lu Cheng getting some rest the entire trip back. Now that they were finally in their room, she certainly hoped he would hurry up and get some proper rest.
"Then... will you keep me company?"
"Huh? Keep you company?"

Shen Nian shook her head. But when she looked up, she saw Lu Cheng had already taken off his shirt.
"You..."
’What’s with him suddenly taking his clothes off in front of me? It’s like Lu Cheng’s entire personality has shifted since we got home.’
"This shirt isn’t comfortable to sleep in, so I took it off."
"..."
’That excuse... seems impossible to argue with! It’s not comfortable to sleep in, so he took it off. Nothing wrong with that!’
’It’s just... Lu Cheng, don’t forget your little wife is standing right here!’
"Well, should I put it back on?"
Seeing that Shen Nian’s expression seemed a little off, Lu Cheng thought for a moment and asked.

’He’s already taken it off, what’s the point of putting it back on now!’
