Chapter 99: Pager Chat

Even in her past life, her father knew what her sister had done, but he still believed that it was done by the Yang brothers and family. It was not until his death that he was able to see the truth. Right now, until Han Ziyan did something crazily terrifying or admitted that she had done something wrong, her father would never think that the girl was capable of killing someone.

Han Ruochen, however, didn’t care as long as she could live her own life without any worries; then she would let her mother and Han Ziyan alone.

"Why are you like this? Obviously, I came to you because you know that it is difficult for me to mention this to mom and dad. If I could have asked them, then I would have done it long ago. Would I still be begging in front of you?" all this while Han Ruochen had always listened to whatever Han Ziyan had asked for. Thus, even now, Han Ziyan was finding it hard to accept the fact that Han Ruochen was no longer in her control.

Seeing that the woman was unwilling to give her money, Han Ziyan’s temper couldn’t help but rise.

Han Ruochen simply watched the woman act like a child and chuckled coldly, "You can say whatever you like, but I only have two words. I have no money."

After she finished speaking, she turned her attention back to the book that she was reading. However, as soon as she picked up the book, it was snatched by Han Ziyan.

"If you don’t give me the money, then you can forget about living a good life." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

If she couldn’t get what she wanted, then Han Ruochen could forget about living a good life as well.

Han Ruochen coldly looked at the woman who was causing trouble for her. She said to her, "Ziyan, don’t make me move. Do you think that I will leave you alone if you cause trouble for me?"

Han Ziyan was naturally a little afraid of her elder sister. Even though Han Ruochen had never done anything to her, the current Han Ruochen scared her a little. What if she really hit her?

Seeing that the woman was a little scared, Han Ruochen rose to her feet, and that alone was enough to make the woman turn around and walk away without looking back. Han Ruochen watched her run and coldly scoffed.

Ding.

The sound of a notification caught her attention, and Han Ruochen picked up the pager that was lying on the bed. She calmly looked at the notification and was stunned to find that Yun Xiaoxiao had actually added her to the teacher’s group. This was surprising, as she had already resigned from her position.

[Teacher Hu: Wooo, woo, woo, I don’t want to live anymore. Why am I being abused by students like this?]

[Teacher Liu: You are not the only one; none of my students finished their assignments on time, and even the monitors are behind on their work. I just don’t know where they are diverting their attention to.]

[Teacher Yu: What happened to the two of you?]

[Teacher Hu: You have no idea, do you? The midterm exams are already on top of their heads, and yet, instead of working hard, they are wasting their time doing all sorts of things. I wonder what is going on in their minds? And if they don’t achieve good results, then who will be blamed? Me, their poor homeroom teacher.]

[Teacher Liu: That’s all? Think of me. I have given them assignments to finish in the spring, and yet they haven’t done them. How am I supposed to grade them if they don’t even finish their tasks!? The principal keeps telling me that I should submit the grades. Where am I supposed to get the grades from?]

[Teacher Hu: Well, at least you are going to get paid! If these brats don’t buck up soon, then I am afraid that my bonus will be deducted!]

[Teacher Yun: Han Ruochen, I haven’t heard from you? How are you doing now?]

Han Ruochen didn’t expect that someone would suddenly remember her.

She, however, didn’t think that there was anything wrong with what Yun Xiaoxiao did. After all, among all the teachers, she was the only one who didn’t have anything against Han Ruochen.

Han Ruochen simply pursed her lips and, after a short while, typed.

"Nothing, just hunting for seafood."

[Ah, I remember. Doesn’t Teacher Han live near the sea?]

[Teacher Yu: I remember as well. Damn, if not for the fact that I had no skills when it came to fishing, I too would have stayed near the sea. The cool sea breeze and the warm sand would be enough to make me feel better.]

[Teacher Hu: +1]

[Teacher Yun: +1}

Looking at the cheerful discussion of her ex-colleagues, Han Ruochen shook her head with a soft smile on her lips. Though they were right about one thing, though the house where she lived was a little old, she could at least see the sea whenever she opened the window. This was something that even the people of the city would pay to see.

And thinking about the rich people from the city, it was time for her to buy a water heater and a washing machine. She didn’t care about Han Ziyan and Meng Yunhan, but the winter here was brutal. She still remembered getting frostbite when she was living as the daughter-in-law of the Yang family. In this life, she would never be foolish enough to make herself suffer; as long as she had money in her hands, she would make sure that she would live a proper and good life.

With that thought in mind, she slowly got to her feet and then walked out of her room and headed outside. However, as soon as she opened the door, a black shadow jumped at her. Startled, Han Ruochen stepped back and her face turned pale.
