Chapter 338: Meeting My Mother’s Adulterer
Han Ruochen had no idea that such a simple thing would end up becoming so troublesome. If she did, then she would be so angry that she would have coughed up blood. She had just talked with someone; how come it ended up being counted as seducing? Did she look like some sort of legendary fox spirit?
Fortunately, Han Ruochen had no idea what happened at the village or to the Xiao family. She hurried to the county and went straight to Han Jianyou’s school. Han Ruochen was worried that with her brother’s performance, the teachers would blame him without listening to a thing. Sure enough! As soon as she arrived, she heard Teacher Li, the homeroom teacher of Han Jianyou, scolding him.
"You are such a waste! How can you hit someone so ruthlessly? And that too, a girl! You are really too much."
When Han Ruochen heard the teacher call her brother a waste, she was so angry that she pushed the door open and walked inside. As soon as she stepped inside, she saw the situation in front of her; Han Ruochen knew that something must have happened. She looked at the girl who was crying harshly in front of another teacher and went to stand next to Han Jianyou.
Even though her brother did not look as ruffled as the girl, one could see that he was injured more gravely than the girl. There were nail scratches on his face, and his upper lip was cut rather badly. Compared to the girl, Han Jianyou was much more seriously hurt and yet the teacher was blaming him instead of taking her to the infirmary! Seeing this, Han Ruochen straightened up and glared at the man who was scolding her brother.
Her expression became serious. It seemed like her brother was not only bullied by the students but also by the teachers. She had to clean these people up, or else they would think that Han Jianyou had no one to back him up.
No wonder Han Jianyou did not want to continue studying in her previous life. This was the crux of the problem!
When Teacher Li saw Han Ruochen glaring at him, he swallowed his words right back. He never expected someone from the Han family to come looking for Han Jianyou, as no one had ever answered the call in the past, which was why he let go of himself and said whatever he wanted. He never thought that Han Jianyou’s guardian would come to look for him.
Han Ruochen ignored the surprise in the eyes of the man and turned to look at the principal. She coldly questioned, "Principal Ji, just what is going on? No matter what my brother has done, anyone with functioning eyes could see that he is bleeding while the little girl is alright. Just a little scared. So why didn’t anyone take my brother to the infirmary? Can’t you see the vicious scratches on his face? It is as if the perpetrator wanted to gouge his eyes out!" As she spoke, she did not forget to glance at the little girl with a knowing look.
The little girl noticed her look and shuddered in fright. She huddled behind her homeroom teacher and even forgot about howling while crying.
She indeed wanted to hurt Han Jianyou, and it was not until she saw blood dripping down his face that she realised what she had done. But by then the situation had already escalated, and there was nothing that could be done. So she could only blame Han Jianyou, knowing that the teachers did not like him much.
However, it seemed like Han Ruochen was different. She could see through her at a glance.
Principal Ji’s face turned embarrassed. It was not that he did not want to send Han Jianyou to the infirmary, but Teacher Li kept interrupting him. He even scolded Han Jianyou and said that it was only right that he was suffering because what he did was wrong and it was the consequences of his actions.
"Miss Han, please don’t worry. I will call the nurse right away—"
"There is no need." Han Ruochen refused without giving anyone any face. "The blood has started to dry up; it is clear that it has been more than half an hour since my brother was injured. Since no one cared about him from the start, we might as well clear this matter up and then deal with his injuries." Han Ruochen was really angry. A student was gravely injured, and these people did not even treat him with basic first aid. She, as the guardian, had to bring it up and tell them what needed to be done. Then she might as well bring her brother to a hospital.
Hearing her response, Principal Ji sighed heavily. It seemed like this matter was not going to calm down easily.
Teacher Li, on the other hand, thought that the woman was challenging his authority and said angrily, "Miss, how can you say such a thing? Your brother pushed Xirou down and injured her. As a boy, how can he do such a thing?"
Han Ruochen simply sneered when she heard the words of the teacher. She actually found it a little funny. It was clear that this teacher was her brother’s homeroom teacher, but he supported someone else. She chuckled and said, "I see. You mean to say that even when my brother was being scratched and hurt like this, he was supposed to act like a gentleman and take the hits without doing anything?"
To everyone’s surprise, Teacher Li actually nodded. He raised his head and puffed his chest out before saying the most ridiculous thing anyone might have heard. "Of course, he is a guy—how could he make a fuss over such small injuries? Boys are supposed to be strong. How can you pamper him like this? Over just minor scratches like these, you are questioning us like he has broken his hand or something."
"Teacher Li—"
SLAP!
