Chapter 161: Someone was Looking for Him
When Han Ruochen arrived at the shoe shop, the shopkeeper gave her quite a high price for the two pairs of leather shoes that she wanted to buy. It was only when she told him that she was sent there by Xia He that the man lowered the price to a reasonable one.
Han Ruochen never thought that the price would end up becoming ninety yuan after she took Xia He’s name and was even more grateful that she ran into the woman. Though she had enough money in her pockets, no one was going to complain about saving money. Once they had purchased the two pairs of shoes, Han Ruochen walked out of the shop. She turned to look at Han Beijiang and comfortingly said to him, "Beijiang, we will be going to Brother Jianyou’s school, okay? If you are uncomfortable, then you can tell your sister, and I will pick you up."
However, Han Beijiang neither agreed nor disagreed. He was too focused on looking at the new book that his sister had purchased for him. When Han Ruochen realised that the boy was already lost in his own world, she picked him up and made her way toward Han Jianyou’s school. She hoped that the boy was studying properly without causing any trouble.
BANG!
"Han Jianyou, I told you many times that you should stay away from Ziyu!"
Han Jianyou spat a mouthful of blood and did not know what to say. He indeed returned to the school to seriously study, but who would have expected that as soon as he returned to school, he would end up getting pestered by the supposed school beauty? That girl was persistent and clingy and wouldn’t let him go, which had caused a lot of boys in his school, including the school bully, to be upset with him.
"Dongliang, are you stupid! When did I ever pay attention to that girl?" Han Jianyou was furious. He had never even given a second look at Su Ziyu, but he was still being beaten. These days, he was just trying his best to study and get back on track; if not, his devilish sister would certainly take him out of school and then drag him to the shore to fish. He did not want that!
He might not like studying, but he would rather work hard at studying than be dragged to the shore to fish.
All he wanted was to study hard, be done with his schooling, and go to college. Who would have expected that even such a little thing would be filled with so many twists and turns? He couldn’t understand why things never worked for him.
And that Su Ziyu? Why was she causing trouble for him instead of studying hard?
Qiao Dongliang was furious. He was just a sixteen-year-old boy, and he was filled with this air of justice. In his eyes, Han Jianyou’s actions were no less than taking advantage of a poor girl’s affection and then dumping her. He raised his fist and was about to hit Han Jianyou again. "You jerk, you are playing with Ziyu—"
"Han Jianyou, there you are!" The class monitor walked over when he caught sight of Han Jianyou and heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that the boy looked fine. The class monitor knew that Han Jianyou was getting bullied, but he had been turning a blind eye to the situation because Han Jianyou was more or less like an orphan. No one from his family ever came to look for him, and because of this very reason, the class monitor did not want to get involved in this matter either.
But who would have thought that just as he decided to turn a blind eye to Han Jianyou’s situation, someone from his family would come looking for him?
The class monitor was filled with guilt when their homeroom teacher asked him to go and bring Han Jianyou. He knew that the boy had been dragged out by the school bully, but because he was worried about his own skin, he did not say a word, nor did he call the teachers. Now that Han Jianyou’s family was here, he was worried that the latter would complain.
"Class monitor? Why are you here?" Han Jianyou was also aware of what the class monitor had been doing and was surprised when he saw that the boy even bothered to come to look for him.
"Your sister came to look for you. She is waiting at the entrance of the dormitory." The class monitor wanted to say something more, but Han Jianyou did not give him a chance. He ran past him and Qiao Dongliang when he heard that his sister had come to look for him.
"Boss, are we going after him?" one of the underlings couldn’t help but ask Qiao Dongliang.
"Follow? What follow? His sister is here. Do you want this matter to be taken to the teachers?" The reason Qiao Dongliang dared to go after Han Jianyou was that he was confident that the boy would not dare to complain to his family, and even if he did, no one would dare to come looking for him. But it seemed like he miscalculated. There was someone in the Han Jianyou family who was willing to take care of him. This was not good news for him.
On the other side, Han Jianyou went looking for Han Ruochen. When he saw that his elder sister was indeed waiting for him and no one had made any jokes at his expense, he was quite stimulated; he did not know what to say or think at the moment. In the past, kids had made fun of him by saying that his father and mother came to look for him. He used to believe them, but after getting disappointed several times, he understood that the children were bullying him because he had no family who took care of him.
But today was different – his sister really came to look for him!
