Chapter 106: Won’t let you see him
When Xu Yuanshu heard Han Ruochen’s words, her face turned pale. Her expression shifted again and again before she finally spoke up, "That...I just took those things for a few days. Why are you acting as if I have stolen those things?"
"You call taking things away for more than a year ’borrowing?" Han Ruochen sneered coldly. The last time the woman took the pager from her, she was unwilling, but her mother pressured her into giving Xu Yuanshu her pager. In the end, it ended up in the hands of Xu Yuanshu’s brother and was never returned. If this woman were nice to her brother genuinely, then she would have naturally given her the washing machine, but Xu Yuanshu was a shameless leech of a woman.
Not only was she involved with a bunch of men in the city where she lived, but she also supported her brothers and her parents without any restraints. Xu Yuanshu turned sullen when she heard Han Ruochen’s words. She wanted to say that she would bring those things back, but she couldn’t because she had already given them all away to her brothers! Forget about getting them back; the pager might already be used and thrown by her youngest.
"Do you have to be so cruel? We are one family. I have given birth to the eldest grandson of your family!"
Xu Yuanshu didn’t believe that there was anything wrong with what she said; she had made a great sacrifice by marrying the eldest son of the Han family, and yet she was being treated like this.
"You don’t have to waste your words on me. I have already stated that I am not giving it to you; if you want it, then you can go ahead and buy it!" Han Ruochen had given a lot of help to Xu Yuanshu in her past life. But the woman was heartless till the end. When her family needed her help, not only did she egg Han Zhicheng on to kill her brother, but he also ruined her father by stealing the little money he had somehow gathered to buy a coffin for his eldest son.
In the end, her brother, who died so unjustly, was given a simple burial like the ones who had no family because they had no money, and all of his siblings were either dead or crippled.
She really wanted to ask Meng Yunhan and her niece what their Han family did to their family for them to ruin them all like this!
"Ruochen, you!" Xu Yuanshu was really angry. She picked up her son and then said angrily, "If you don’t let me bring the washing machine, then you can forget about seeing Zhicheng again."
She was sure that Han Ruochen would agree to her request now, but to her surprise, Han Ruochen simply smiled and said in a low voice, "Sure. Who would want to see him? Such an unruly child. It will be better if he comes here less; at least we wouldn’t have to hear his tantrums."
Xu Yuanshu’s face turned the colour of a colourful palette. She looked at Han Ruochen as if she could not believe that these words were coming from her mouth. In the past, Han Ruochen was the one who cared the most about Han Zhicheng, along with Han Yichen, but now she was actually telling her that it was good if she came to her house less.
"Good, very good! Let’s see how you will beg me later on!" Xu Yuanshu was determined. This time, she would not let Han Zhicheng come back unless Han Ruochen begged her on her knees and brought the machine with her. Since she dared to say such words, then be prepared to face the consequences!
Han Ruochen curled her lips and didn’t say anything.
Seeing this, Xu Yuanshu didn’t dare linger any longer. She scolded Han Zhicheng for causing a fuss for someone who didn’t care about them and dragged him out of the house in anger.
"What did you do? Just wait until your father finds out." Meng Yunhan was naturally heartbroken when she saw her precious grandson being taken away. She didn’t like her eldest son, but she liked Xu Yuanshu very much or else she wouldn’t have let her get married into her family despite being so poor.
The girl was witty and sharp and knew how to be filial when she needed to be.
Now that Han Ruochen had made Xu Yuanshu angry, would the girl even come to look for her?
"You should be worried about yourself, Mom," said Han Ruochen with a cold expression on her face. "Zhicheng was bullying Beijiang right in front of you, and you did nothing!"
Han Ruochen couldn’t understand her mother’s thought process. Why did she care about Han Zhicheng so much when she didn’t care about her own son? Maybe it had something to do with the shamelessness. Both women shared the same shamelessness; maybe that was why they got along so well.
