Chapter 104: Sister in law

Han Ruochen truly had a plan. With a brother like Tong Hao, Tong Zhaodi would sooner or later be disappointed. After all, now in the eyes of the Tong family, Tong Zhaodi could earn some money, but Han Ruochen knew them too well to know that they would naturally not take Tong Zhaodi seriously. At most, they would come up with means to make use of her, especially Tong Hao.

He knows that Tong Zhaodi was working for her. Since that was the case, he would naturally turn greedy. In his eyes, a woman held no worth. Tong Zhaodi’s money was his money, and she had her backing; there was nothing wrong with going a bit lawless.

Since that was the case, Han Ruochen simply needed to take advantage of the current situation. A man like Tong Hao couldn’t sit still for a long time.

Lu Jianguo crossed his arms and leaned back on the pillar behind him. He said in a low voice, "I am willing to do what you said, but what will I get in return?"

Han Ruochen raised her head and glanced at the man. Her gaze was indifferent, unlike anything Lu Jianguo had ever seen. Beneath the ice surface hid a sharpness. She said in a low voice, "There is nothing that I can offer you. But I can deliver some seafood to your hotel. I noticed that your restaurant is not doing well compared to the rest of the restaurants. Isn’t it because you have no fresh supply of seafood?"

Lu Jianguo arched a brow when he heard her response. He said to Han Ruochen, "How are you going to supply us with fresh seafood?"

"You don’t need to worry about that. Just tell me if you are willing to accept the deal or not? I need to go back home." Han Ruochen frowned slightly, and her brows started to crease as she finished speaking. She was genuinely trying to make a win-win situation for the two of them. So why did this man have to say so many nonsensical words?

"Alright, there is no need for you to get angry." Lu Jianguo raised his hands in the air and then said to her, "There is no need to turn hostile. I never said that I would not accept your deal. I will tell my brother not to cause any trouble for Tong Hao for the time being; in return, make sure that you supply our restaurant with fresh seafood every day." As he finished speaking, a glint flashed in his eyes. If Han Ruochen came here every day, then naturally, the two of them would be able to get close.

Lu Jianguo indeed had his eyes set on Han Ruochen the second he saw her. When he was young, he knew Han Ruochen but never took her into consideration because she was not as slick as Han Ziyan when it came to having a sweet tongue. But now that the two of them had grown up, he had to admit that Han Ruochen was prettier than Han Ziyan. In fact, she was prettier than most women he knew.

How could his heart not be moved?

Han Ruochen didn’t have the slightest bit of an idea of what was going on in the man’s head. When she heard that he had agreed, she heaved a sigh of relief. A look of satisfaction appeared on her face, and she nodded at Lu Jianguo. "Then I have to thank you." She bowed her head, but Lu Jianguo stopped her. He simply said, "There is no need to thank me. I am also benefiting from this."

"Then I will go back first."

Han Ruochen turned and called for Tong Zhaodi before taking her leave. The two women returned home, while Tong Zhaodi returned to the Tong family with a heavy heart, and Han Ruochen returned to the Han family. As soon as she returned, she heard a child crying at the top of his lungs. Her expression changed and she increased her pace and walked inside the house.

She saw Han Beijiang standing in a corner with an aggrieved look on his face. In front of him was a ball of fat rolling left and right, not even caring that his feet were hitting Han Beijiang. Seeing this, Han Ruochen lost her temper.

"ENOUGH!"

She raised her voice, startling not only Han Zhicheng but also Xu Yuanshu, who was drinking tea not far away. At first, Han Zhicheng was only crying to make a fuss, but after being scolded, he ended up crying for real. He burst into tears and started crying.

"Han Ruochen, what is the meaning of this?" Xu Yuanshu set the teacup back on the table and frowned at Han Ruochen angrily. "Why are you yelling at my son? Zhicheng is so young; don’t you feel ashamed getting angry at a little child?"

"Be glad that I only lost my temper with him." Han Ruochen was really angry. The second she saw Xu Yuanshu, she felt a surge of anger. The memories of her past life came surging, and she wished she could kick the woman out of the house that very second. However, she knew that this was not the time. She could only suppress the anger in her heart and then said to Xu Yuanhsu, "Can you not see what your son is doing? He is no longer young. So why is he acting like a five-year-old?"

Xu Yuanshu flushed red in shame when she heard Han Ruochen speak to her in that tone. This was the first time Han Ruochen had ever used that imperious tone; it was like she was beneath her in every way.

Han Ruochen didn’t care what the woman thought and picked up Han Beijiang in her arms. When she saw that there were countless marks on Han Beijiang’s legs, her heart was filled with distress. This boy was just as vicious as he was when he was in her past life! She turned her head and gazed at Han Zhicheng, who was still throwing a tantrum. There must have been something wrong with her gaze because the child suddenly became scared and stopped crying.
