Chapter 120: Light vs Yannick pt. 3(Final Battle)
Light stared straight at Yannick with his two-colored eyes, deep and unwavering, there were tiny flickers of light, sparkling stroking his eyes as he stood vigilantly.
"You know, you’re the first person to actually land a clean hit on me in this tournament. You have shown me that my wait for a worthy competition hasn’t been a waste—Thank you Light... you have no idea what you have just done for me." Yannick said with a smile as he wiped a droplet of blood from his chin.
That alone let Light and everyone in the crowd know that despite his countless feats, he was human too.
Light said nothing in response, instead he just looked at the man listlessly. He appeared to be an alien, standing expressionlessly on the opposite side of Yannick.
"Nothing to say? Good... let’s get serious." Yannick concluded as he assumed a stance with his legs spread out wide, his knees bent a little and both his hands resting on his laps.
He wasn’t cultivating mid-battle, this was his final form... Wind Symphony.
His eyes didn’t glow differently, and neither did his hair have any different reaction. He maintained his original look, the only difference that could be spotted was that his body had become more defined, his eyes had widened. His veins had started to pop outwardly, his muscles tightened and his breathing slowed. He was in the zone.
Light didn’t seem to care at all, even as a huge whirlwind began to form around the man.
Yannick stood there charging up as Light watched. In a flash, Light disappeared, darting towards Yannick like a shotgun bullet, but as soon as he hit the wind, it felt like he had collided into a brick wall head first.
BAM!

He felt the impact tear through the air as he pulled back, he struck the whirlwind with his sword and faced the same reaction.
Yannick didn’t react, he didn’t even seem as though he could see Light. He just stood there with all this energy swirling around him, he had created an impenetrable blockade of wind. He called it <Breeze Dome>.
Why he would go on the defensive now was lost on Light completely, he was unaware that Yannick had other plans.
A tendril formed with only air seeped behind Light slowly, in a mission to attack from his blind spot, but like was a manipulator of blind spots, attacks from blind spots were practically useless against him.
Just as the tendril was about to strike, he turned around and blocked with his sword, which had looked to be caving under pressure already, he wondered if it was the blade that was too weak, or the battles that were too strong.
Regardless of what the response was, he would stop using this blade as soon as the tournament ended.
The Primarch was smiling again, as he had seen that Yannick had transformed, according to reports of Yannick’s battles so far, he had never lost in this form.
It had both the ultimate defense and the ultimate attack.
Yannick, all while defending, kept sending tendrils hurling towards Light, but Light was swift, he moved through the air as light as a feather, none of the attacks even came close to him before he completely snuffed them out.
Yannick kept attacking but it seemed to no avail, and to the frustration of the crowd.
As far as Light could see from the outside, time was still running out, and there was no penetrating Yannick’s defense, as long as he employed regular measures.
He immediately thought up a plan. He was going to make use of those blind spots he had avoided until now.
He focused most of his Qi into his foot and stomped the ground so hard it rippled, all the way into the sphere. There was a crack on the floor and the shockwave amplified it and sent a pile of rubble flying into the air around Yannick.
Yannick wondered what Light’s plan was, as he couldn’t deduce it from what was happening around him.
The sky became noticeably darker, Light smiled before disappearing again, Yannick could have sworn that the young man was faster. Faster than before.
Light was nowhere to be found in the arena anymore, people gasped and there was a rise of murmurs, people asking where he was, and the others giving theories of all kinds.
"You’ve started hiding, not a good look little brother." Yannick said, his lips curled upwards in a crooked smile.

"Who says I’m hiding?" A voice sounded from behind him. Before he could turn fully, a fist emerged from a piece of rubble that floated in the air behind him. It struck Yannick clean in the jaw and sent him a few meters away.
Yannick tumbled for a few feet, barely able to hold himself up before another punch came crashing into the other side of his face.
BOW! BOW! BOW!
The blows kept coming, from left, right, and center. The crowd gasped as they watched Yannick take blows from different corners of his own air defense which had already begun to fade away.
What surprised the crowd the most was that these punches were emerging from pieces of rubble.
"He can really control his darkness affinity." Xenia said as she and Jacob watched on.
"Yes he can, he was taught by the best after all." Jacob smiled, puffing his chest out a little to mimic pride.
The Primarch fought very hard to restrain himself from jumping down to the middle of the arena and teaching Light a lesson himself. In that moment, his perspective of Yannick changed, the mere fact that he would allow someone like Light to toy with him in this manner was preposterous.
Yannick was bleeding from his ears, nose and mouth now, he also had a couple of gashes on his cheeks but something surprised Jacob. This man was smiling.
"Hahahaha! It’s been so long since I felt this, since I felt pain like this. More! More! Come on Light? You can do it!" Yannick screamed like a crazy person, so much so that people in the crowd started to wonder if his quiet nature was all just to hide the demon that rested beneath the exterior.
