Chapter 113: Yannick vs Vale 2
"I only speak the truth. Defeat me, and I will once again, speak only the truth."
These words rang in his ears and caused Vale to smile, even though he hated Yannick to the bone marrow, he could not deny the fact that he had proved to be a honorable man over and over again.
Vale stared at Yannick with determination in his eyes, if he lost to Yannick, then he would have lost to a worthy opponent.
But he would not lose, he was the one touched by the sun, the youngest man to ever be Knighted into an army, he had trained every day of his life for this moment.
Yannick picked his sword up and suddenly a golden energy began to swirl around him, if Yannick was bringing his best, then he too, would also bring nothing less than his best.
The golden energy that swirled around him was his Qi, hence why he was the one kissed by the sun. He cultivated his energy directly from the sun, and the form he was about to transform into...
His armor cracked around him under the sheer pressure of the heat that swirled within his body, his body had begun to release steam. His sword glistened in the sunlight, and began to emanate a bright golden glow, one that would blind anyone that looked too closely or for too long.
His top plate mail eventually ripped off his body like paper, something that was almost impossible since the armor was carved from steel.
He was topless now, his body looked as though it was condensing, his hair was floating as though it was being sucked in through a vacuum on top of his head. His eyes were deathly while.
This was his form. Sun Soldier. A gift bestowed upon him by the sun god herself.

Yannick looked at him with a knowing expression, he quickly changed into a stance that suggested he was alert, even to the slightest of movements.
"I’m glad you’re finally starting to take this seriously." The Wutherhorn man spoke.
Vale said nothing, In a single flash, the knight had vanished across the battle ground, wielding the glistening sword and striking directly at Yannick.
But Yannick had control over the air. He could sense incoming attacks and where they would arrive from. He quickly shifted his body to the side as Vale slashed an upward arc, his blade cutting into empty air.
Vale twisted his hand and slashed diagonally towards Yannick’s new position, but Yannick just cartwheeled in the air to avoid the blade.
The flurry of attacks continued like that for another few moments, with Vale attacking like a madman and Yannick dancing through the air, evading each attack with practiced ease.
With every miss, Vale got angrier, against his better judgement. What started out as a coordinated attack sequence, quickly turned into a barrage of random attacks.
It made him more deadly, and scary—but it also left him more open. Yannick could see his pressure points more clearly now.
"You disappoint me Vale."
Vale hesitated for a second, too long for Yannick. Four puncturing punches were thrown at Vale’s bare body, two on both of his shoulders, and the other two—on his lower torso.
Vale immediately felt the impact, coupled with the sheer force of the wind that came in behind those punches.
He was instantly hurled away again towards the wall of of the arena.
BOOMMM!!
That was the sound of his body thudding against the wall for the second time, a guttural groan escaped his mouth and he was immediately thrust back into his normal state. His sword dropped from his hand to the floor and he coughed out blood.
The coughing didn’t seize as Yannick slowly walked up to him, the man hung in a hole in the wall with his head hung.
His chest was covered in blood and the rest of his body that wasn’t, was covered in dust.
Just as Yannick inched even closer, the aura began swirling around Vale again.
"GRAAHHH!!" The knight yelled, and his eyes glowed brightly. He raised a hand to hit Yannick’s face, but Yannick could see through his attacks, he could not be surprised.
He quickly grabbed Vale by the wrist and released another puncturing punch on the inside of his elbow, dislocating his elbow in an instant.
"GRAAEHHHH! AHHH!" Vale yelled, it was a deep guttural scream that caused the entire crowd to gasp in pity, the people who once cheered for him now pitied him, watching as he suffered greatly.

"Shut up." Yannick said as he raised his hand and punched Vale square on the face, causing the man to pass out immediately.
Vale fell to the ground almost lifelessly as Yannick looked at him with unwavering eyes. "In all your years, you have learned nothing. Come again another time after you grow up."
After these words, Yannick simply turned around and walked towards the tunnel. The fight was won and he was the first to advance to the finals. His wife Vera, and his children all smiled, watching as their husband, and father had just beaten this man to a pulp.
"Vale Drake is unable to continue the battle! Therefore, the winner... Yannick Wutherhorn!!"
The crowd burst into cheers! They had just witnessed one of the only true one sided battles in this tournament and it was done with so much class and style.
Yannick paid them no attention, he only faced his business.
Light gulped down a glob of spit in his throat, if he advanced against Jonathan, he would face this monster in the finals.
When Yannick came in though, he was all smiles, it made Light wonder how Yannick did it, on the battleground he was a completely different person.
Jacob watched the battle as well and he acknowledged that Yannick Wutherhorn was indeed one to look out for, he was the strongest Wutherhorn he had seen in action so far, and he knew Light would have to put on an absolutely phenomenal display if he was ever going to defeat Yannick.
But that would hold on for now, because there was another fight coming on...
