Chapter 111: Semi-Finals
"How nice of you to come say hello, sensei." Light joked as he walked towards Jacob, shaking the nands of the young man. Jacob burst into laughter, he had never heard someone call him ’sensei’ since he was born and the way Light said it was just so funny.
He thought of Light as something of a ’class clown,’ not in a back way, but in a lighthearted way. Light was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh, he was a little weird but who wasn’t?
"Hey Jacob, meet my brothers." Light said, introducing Jacob to them one after the other as the young man shook their hands firmly.
The other contestants who had been knocked out were already murmuring about Jacob, as they did not know who he was, rumors about him healing the Primarch had spread throughout the Estate, but as they didn’t live within the main house, they never even knew what he looked like until now.
"It’s nice to meet you all officially, I’ve heard great things about you!" Jacob said in his most formal voice.
"What great things haha! The only great thing this one can do is finish a whole 12-course feast by himself." Jonathan joked, pointing to Randolph, causing another wave of laughter to erupt.
"Hey Jacob, a little birdie told me you’d be participating in the tournament, what happened?" Yannick inquired as they all looked at him eagerly, neither of them had seen him fight except Light.
And Light did not dare speak of their encounter on the training ground, so they were hoping to see a battle with him in it.
"Well I have considered it, I won’t be participating in the tournament per say—it would probably just be like a guest match up. I’m yet to see who the Primarch pairs me up with." Jacob spoke calmly, his voice was free flowing like an ocean, a quirk that came with royalty and a peaceful family.
"Ah! Well, heads up, he’s most likely going to pair you up with Heimdall." Jonathan added.

"Heimdall? I met him, is he strong?" Asked Jacob who listened keenly for their replies. He feigned ignorance to see what other information he could learn about the mind reader.
"Pfft, is he strong? Did you just ask that?" Alfred muttered, that was the first time he spoke. "Other than the Primarch—our father, no one is stronger than Heimdall."
Jacob placed his hand on his chin, pondering for a moment. He had definitely felt a surge of power the first time he met Heimdall, and he had done something to make Heimdall very aware of him.
Heimdall would definitely be looking to step up close to Jacob again.
"He’s not joking, When I faced him in training, he literally wiped the floor with me." Zion added with an exasperated sigh, he had a tired look on his face, which by the way all the brothers acted, Jacob deduced that’s just what the boy looked like.
"Well I haven’t fought Heimdall before, but he scared me a lot as a child, especially that thing that he does where he reads your mind—or doesn’t open his eyes." Light said, shivering a little at the end of his sentence, the fear was evident in his voice and body language.
"Yeah, he’s definitely one you don’t wanna mess with. There’s a reason the Primarch has kept him close all these years." Yannick spoke with a serious expression on his face.
The other contestants had gone back to doing their business, that is, the ones that could still move about.
The other ones like Cedric, who had been badly injured, lay in the sick bay and were being given medical attention.
"I know you got this bro." Light tapped Jacob on the back and laughed heartily.
Jacob wasn’t afraid of Heimdall, he was afraid he would have to reveal too much of his power to these strangers that sat in tbe crowd.
If he beat Heimdall too easily, then there would be unnecessary attention on him.
In that moment, he remembered the promise he made to himself about rising to the pinnacle of the world, attention didn’t matter, what mattered was that he was stronger than his opponents.
He would face the battle with his best.
"So what do you think about having to fight one your brothers Light?" Jacob asked him after waving the thoughts away from his mind.
"Well I’ll gladly beat anyone of them to a pulp haha." Light said heartily. Sometimes he sounded like an old man, and sometimes he sounded like a little child.
The next fight was about to be announced, the announcer stepped onto the podium and tapped his speaker. There were three Wutherhorns in the semi-finals of the tournament. Jonathan, Yannick, and Light.
The only other person in the semi-finals that wasn’t a Wutherhorn was someone who no one would’ve thought would even get to that point, a knight named Vale Drake.
He was Knighted by the Primarch himself and was the youngest ever to get Knighted into the Wutherhorn ranks.
Most older knights respected him as there was no other that could match his swordsmanship, he was on par with some of the strongest sect masters in terms of raw sword ability.
And he was also from a wealthy family, which made him strike jealousy in the hearts of many men his age.
He had gotten to the semi-finals while getting the better of Zion Wutherhorn.

The results of the draw were in.
The battles were drawn and they would now be announced to the crowd.
Light Wutherhorn vs Jonathan Wutherhorn.
Yannick Wutherhorn vs Vale Drake.
These were the results of the draw and they had everyone whistling and anticipating the upcoming fights.
Jacob quietly left the tunnel after his meeting with Light and returned to his seat, which Xenia had kept empty for him.
"Welcome back, young master Jacob." She said flatly, looking straight at the arena.
"Why thank you, Xenia, ready for another one?"
"Absolutely, I must admit, I am enjoying this display." She said.
"So am I."
