Chapter 2105: Chapter 2008: Mexican Guide

Huo Sining tilted her head and stuck out her tongue at Gu Xu, knowing that Gu Xu was mocking her. She couldn’t help but make a funny face at him.

Qin Lianshan didn’t know that Gu Xu was going to Mexico with Huo Sining. Hearing Gu Xu mention the secret weapon, he didn’t think much of it and repeatedly reminded Gu Xu to be cautious, before hanging up the phone.

After the two arrived at the airport, they immediately retrieved their boarding passes and entered the waiting room. Xiao Qi timed the ticket purchase perfectly. As soon as they entered the waiting room, they heard the airport announcement reminding them to board the plane.

All their luggage was packed in Huo Sining’s storage ring, and they only carried passports and tickets as they passed through security.

As the plane to Mexico took off, Su Qingqing just disembarked from the plane flying from Magic Capital to Imperial Capital. While taking a taxi towards the villa where Huo Sining was, she also called Huo Sining.

However, to Su Qingqing’s confusion, the phone was turned off, not just Huo Sining’s, but even Gu Xu’s phone couldn’t be reached.

Su Qingqing didn’t think much, and rushed straight to Huo Sining’s villa. Upon arrival, she learned from Yue Shuwen that the two left early in the morning without revealing their destination, and their phones went unanswered.

Su Qingqing was speechless. She painstakingly came to find them, only to find that the pair had suddenly disappeared; was this a deliberate attempt to avoid her?

Just as she was about to ask further, the aunt cleaning upstairs came down. Seeing Su Qingqing and Yue Shuwen, she paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Miss Su has arrived; unfortunately, the sir and madam have traveled far and are not currently in Imperial Capital."

Yue Shuwen frowned upon hearing this, "Not in Imperial Capital? Aunt Qin, what do you mean? Didn’t they go out on business? Why suddenly a long journey? Everything seemed fine last night, and I didn’t hear them talk about traveling far."

Since Aunt Qin moved into the villa, Yue Shuwen and Zhong Xiaoyao lived there too, so she knew these people had a close relationship with Huo Sining, like sisters. Therefore, when Yue Shuwen asked, she didn’t hide anything and repeated the conversation she overheard between Huo Sining and Gu Xu at breakfast:

"The madam and sir went to Mexico. Apparently, an old buddy of the sir, named Ouyang Jun, had an accident in Mexico. So, the sir and madam quickly packed and left."

Upon hearing this, Su Qingqing’s eyes widened: "What?! Went to Mexico? Ouyang Jun had an accident, it’s understandable that Gu Xu would go, but Ningning is pregnant, why did she go too? She’s really restless, does she not realize she’s carrying a child? It’s very easy for something to go wrong!"

Aunt Qin looked awkward: "I tried to persuade her, but the madam wouldn’t listen, and the sir didn’t stop her either, saying he would protect the madam and ensure she stays safe. I couldn’t ask further."

Su Qingqing was utterly furious: "Gu Xu is really reckless. Ningning’s condition is different now. Her fetus position isn’t stable, and yet she goes to Mexico, a place fraught with danger from drug dealers. Is that safe?"

Regardless of safety, Huo Sining and Gu Xu were already on the plane, soaring thousands of miles above.

Yu Fei, under Gu Xu’s guidance, quickly used satellite positioning to locate the last signal from Ouyang Jun’s phone. However, the number was currently unreachable, leaving uncertainty about Ouyang Jun’s whereabouts.

Therefore, Huo Sining and Gu Xu had no choice but to take it one step at a time, awaiting arrival in Mexico to reassess.

The plane flew through the sky for nearly fifteen hours, accounting for the time difference between the regions. When they arrived in Mexico City, it was morning there.

At around ten o’clock, Huo Sining and Gu Xu disembarked the plane, directly heading to the address Yu Fei sent them, renting a Hummer, and heading directly to the location.

Tepito is located in the northern part of Mexico City. It is the largest black market in Latin America, where one can buy any required organs with ease comparable to buying groceries.

Additionally, the market sells a plethora of lethal items, from firearms and drugs to diverse witch gu techniques from around the globe.

Even many locals dare not venture in readily, and these locals offer a sole piece of advice to anyone attempting to enter Tepito: be mindful of your life, and never bring a camera!

After disembarking, Huo Sining and Gu Xu headed directly there. However, before proceeding, Gu Xu contacted a guide, as they weren’t familiar with the terrain and needed a local to lead the way.

Fortunately, Gu Xu had extensive connections over the years and soon found a suitable guide. This person was introduced by one of Gu Xu’s business partners, who described the guide as greedy but very shrewd, familiar with Tepito, and well-connected there.

Once, while transporting goods from Tepito, this guide helped evade drug dealers and thieves, earning high endorsement from Gu Xu’s business partner who regarded him as very reliable.

Upon hearing the guide was clever, Gu Xu unhesitatingly decided to enlist his help.

Following the contact information given by the business partner, Gu Xu and Huo Sining reached the outskirts of Tepito and found the guide’s residence.

Technically a house, that place was more like a shanty filled with disarray. Gu Xu called out loudly, soon prompting a person to peer out from the rickety stairs.

Gu Xu explained their purpose in English to the person, indicating he was recommended by a friend.

The person’s English was somewhat flawed, but he could understand Gu Xu, brightening up upon hearing his friend’s name. He quickly jumped down the stairs, rolling up his pants, clad in tattered clothes, and with a rogue-like demeanor, nodded at Gu Xu:

"I’m Abaris, the one you mentioned, Mr. Zhou. I know him, he was with me last year. Are you here to hire me as your guide? Did he tell you my rules?"

Gu Xu nodded and, without a word, pulled out a stack of US dollars from his backpack: "This is the deposit. After the job is done, I’ll give you the remaining half."

The stack of bills amounted to thirty thousand dollars, which Huo Sining had exchanged in Philadelphia and kept in the Storage Space for contingencies.

Besides US dollars, in fact, upon disembarking, Huo Sining and Gu Xu visited several Mexican banks and exchanged a considerable amount of Mexican currency—Peso bills.
