Xue Yao was having a great time playing with Da Huang, holding a handful of snacks to tease him.
"Da Huang, come here," Xue Rui called out.
Hearing Xue Rui’s call, Da Huang trotted over, his head bobbing, and let Xue Rui pat him.

Xue Yao watched as Xue Rui grabbed a spicy stick from her desk, ate it, then wiped his fingers on Da Huang’s head. Suddenly, she felt the dog had been... sullied.
"Bro, how could you do that?" Xue Yao said, looking displeased. She pulled out a wet wipe and started cleaning Da Huang’s head.
"I do this all the time. His actual owner doesn’t say anything, so why are you making such a big deal about it?" Xue Rui completely ignored Xue Yao’s complaint.
’Actually, how could that little girl ever blame me? As long as I don’t stew Da Huang, I can do whatever I want.’
Xue Yao felt this dog looked familiar, and its name sounded familiar too. It seemed like Xue Rui had brought it to a restaurant once before.
She asked curiously, "Bro, which of your classmates’ dog is this? You’ve never mentioned it."

The two siblings went downstairs to greet them. Xue Rui had wanted to go to the airport too, but unfortunately, he hadn’t gotten his driver’s license yet.
"Yaoyao, look what I brought you!" Ren Qunfang called out with a beaming smile, while Xie Jianfeng followed behind her, carrying bags of all sizes into the house.
The moment she saw Xue Rui, her pleasant expression vanished.
Xue Rui just gave a sheepish grin and went forward to help his dad with the bags.
Xue Yao sensed something was off. Although her mom was never particularly nice to her brother, it was usually just a glare. ’Today, it looks like she’s about to beat him up.’
