"Whoa...!" The bearded man tightened the reins and stopped, saying to the carriage driver beside him: "Let’s stop here for lunch, buy some dry food and refill the water supply. We’re about to cross the deep mountains, where there isn’t a soul for a hundred miles."
Once beyond these deep mountains and ancient forests, we reach the border of Wei Country, and after a few more miles, we’ll enter Wei Country territory.

Wei Country was an enemy nation, having once tried to invade Moli Country. The carriage driver feared danger and originally didn’t want to take this job, but the other party offered a lot of Silver. If he took this job, he’d be set for life; eventually, unable to resist the temptation, he agreed.
