Chapter 1242: Chapter 1242: Leave It Aside for Now

So, soon the servant came over to Jiang Xue and said, "Madam, it’s all tidied up, and the elder ones have gone to rest."

"Okay, thank you!" Jiang Xue smiled and thanked, then asked Bai Yuhua and Mu Siwu, "Dad, Mom, the room is ready. Would you like to rest for a bit?"

"All tidied up?" Bai Yuhua was taken aback, then smiled and said, "Then your dad and I will go lie down first. This train ride was quite tiring."

"Alright, I’ll call you when dinner is ready." Jiang Xue said as she led them to the prepared room.

"Dad, Mom, this is your room. If there’s anything else you need, just let me know, and I’ll get it for you."

"By the way, my parents live next door, so it’s convenient to look out for each other. Little Reunion and I live upstairs. If you need anything, you can find me upstairs too."

"Alright, everything’s good. We don’t need anything else for now. You should go ahead and do your work."

"Okay, I won’t disturb your rest then."

Having settled her parents-in-law, Jiang Xue returned to the living room to find her own parents also looking weary, so she said, "Mom, Dad, you should rest too. I’ll take Little Reunion upstairs."

Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang nodded, then got up and returned to their room. Having sat on the train for five or six hours, they were already tired.

Once Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang returned to their room, Jiang Xue carried her son upstairs. Back in her room, Jiang Xue placed her son on the large bed, took a shower herself, bathed Little Reunion, changed into clean clothes, and finally lay down to rest.

When she woke up, it was almost seven o’clock. Remembering that they hadn’t had dinner yet, Jiang Xue quickly freshened up and carried Little Reunion downstairs.

Downstairs, neither her own parents nor her parents-in-law were around, and their doors were still closed. Jiang Xue guessed they were still asleep, so she asked Sister-in-law Wu, "Niu, is the food ready?"

"Yes, it’s done, just waiting for everyone to wake up and eat."

"Alright, I’ll go wake them up. Niu, please reheat the dishes that have gone cold."

"Okay!" Niu responded, turning to the kitchen to reheat the food, while Jiang Xue carried her child to knock on her parents’ door.

Fortunately, the elders were already awake, and as soon as Jiang Xue knocked, they came out.

"Mom, Dad, time to eat!" Jiang Xue smiled at the four elders as she spoke.

"Alright, we know. We’ll wash up and come right away," Bai Yuhua said, taking a cup and heading towards the bathroom.

Once the elders had freshened up, Niu reheated all the dishes and laid them out on the table.

The family sat down to have dinner. After the meal, Jiang Xue introduced Niu and the other two servants to Bai Yuhua and Mu Siwu.

When Bai Yuhua heard that these people were the household servants, she was once again surprised. She had never imagined that one day she could live the life of a wealthy person.

Because, in Bai Yuhua’s mind, only rich people could live in big houses and have servants to attend to them. After dinner, the elders chatted for a bit before returning to their rooms to rest.

After all, the elders were getting on in years. Despite having taken a nap in the afternoon, they still hadn’t fully recovered.

After the elders went to sleep, Jiang Xue also went upstairs, entered the study, and turned on the computer. In the past, she wasn’t in South City, so she could temporarily set aside matters here.
