"The buildings?" Mu Qiancheng glanced at Jiang Xue, a strange look on his face, and said, "You didn’t go close to them, did you?"
"No, I didn’t. Why?" Jiang Xue was a bit confused and asked, "Don’t tell me there’s something wrong with those buildings?"
"The buildings themselves are fine, it’s just that once you move in you can’t get out, so what’s the point? Didn’t you notice that those few buildings are completely unoccupied?"

Before they arrived here, all the households who’d lived in those buildings had already moved out.
"Alright then." Jiang Xue deflated a little. They couldn’t stay in the buildings; it was pouring rain; they also had to worry the water would flood the tents. How were they supposed to sleep? She thought about hiding in the space, but was afraid that if something happened later, they wouldn’t be able to keep track of it in time.
There was nothing she could do except lie there with her eyes open, waiting to see when the heavens would finally stop the rain, and whether there’d be a new mission later.
Jiang Xue fell silent, and Mu Qiancheng didn’t know what to say either. He reached out and pulled Jiang Xue into his arms, comforting her: "Xue’er, don’t worry, nothing’s going to happen."
"I’m not worried. I’ve got you, don’t I." Jiang Xue said with a smile. She said she wasn’t worried, but inside she was very much on edge.

Right after that, a whistle shrilled. Hearing the whistle, Mu Qiancheng didn’t say a word. He jumped straight off the bed, pulled on his clothes, then said to Jiang Xue, "Xue’er, something’s probably happened. I have to go assemble. Don’t wander around. If anything’s going on, I’ll tell you when I get back."
With that, Mu Qiancheng hurried out. Jiang Xue watched the tent flap being lifted and then fall closed again, and there was no way she could stay lying down. She climbed off the bed too, then started communicating with Little Fox.
"Little Fox, help me check what’s happening outside." Jiang Xue ordered.
Little Fox had been playing with Little Reunion. Hearing Jiang Xue’s words, it handed him over to Big Tiger, then released its spiritual power. As its spiritual power spread outward bit by bit, Little Fox saw the soldiers assembling in the rain and also heard the officers speaking.
"A town ten li from here has had buildings collapse, and people are trapped inside. Our mission is to go in for rescue. We have direct orders from above: we must bring the trapped civilians out."
Little Fox listened and relayed what it heard to Jiang Xue. When Jiang Xue heard that it was building collapses, she couldn’t help worrying. She knew that once a building came down, if the people inside couldn’t get out in time, they’d definitely be buried. If the rescue was fast enough, it might just mean some injuries.
But if it wasn’t timely, then lives would be lost.
Thinking of this, Jiang Xue flashed into the space, took out all the trauma medicine and anti-inflammatory drugs she had prepared, and packed them into the medical box.
