Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce

Qiao Xin stood at the entrance, waiting for the Big Black Bull to appear.

During lunch, he had received a message from an important client who was coming in that afternoon to have their vehicle serviced.

Theoretically, a Lamborghini’s maintenance schedule was every 10,000 kilometers or once a year.

But this Eldest Young Master Wu had only picked up the car three or four months ago, yet he was already requesting a service—and a major one at that, according to the phone call.

’Does he really not care that it’s a supercar? Is he just using it as a daily driver?’

As Qiao Xin stood at the entrance with his mind wandering, a familiar exhaust note, one he knew all too well, roared closer. A black Lamborghini passed the security booth and drove toward him.

The Big Black Bull pulled to a stop in front of Qiao Xin.

Both doors swung open. Qiao Xin wasn’t surprised to see a beautiful woman get out of the passenger seat; it would have been stranger if there *wasn’t* a beautiful woman in a supercar’s passenger seat.

"Young Master Wu, you haven’t even had your first service yet. Why the sudden decision to do a major one?" Qiao Xin asked, puzzled. "May I see how many kilometers are on it?"

After getting Wu Yun’s permission, Qiao Xin ducked into the driver’s seat to take a look. Not even 2,000 kilometers. ’Is he kidding me? A major service?’

’Then again, it’s not that surprising for car lovers who don’t care about the money.’

After getting out, Qiao Xin noticed something unusual: the tires. The tread was almost completely worn away, to the point where they were nearly shot.

"Young Master Wu! Did you go drifting or something? The tire wear is severe!" Qiao Xin’s heart ached. ’Such a fine car, being thrashed like this.’

Wu Yun said calmly, "That’s right. I took it for a few laps on the track today. Drifted through every corner."

With that, he handed the keys to Qiao Xin. "First, give me an assessment. Tell me what needs to be replaced and roughly how long it will take."

Qiao Xin nodded. He first invited Wu Yun and his companion to have a seat in the customer lounge before driving the car into the service center.

Through the transparent glass, Wu Yun watched his car as it was placed on a lift and slowly raised to the designated height.

Several professional technicians began their inspection with various instruments and tools.

Wu Yun only watched for a moment before turning his attention elsewhere.

A short while later, Qiao Xin returned with a woman in uniform. "Young Master Wu, this is our logistics supervisor, Liu Rui. She will now explain the parts that need to be replaced for this service."

Liu Rui, smiling, crouched beside Wu Yun with a clipboard and said, "Young Master Wu, the main components showing wear are the tires, followed by the brake pads, though the pads don’t need to be replaced today. Due to the signs of high-intensity use, we’ll also need to perform a four-wheel alignment and change the oil."

"If that sounds good to you, please select the type of tires you’d like and sign here."

Without a second thought, Wu Yun checked the box for the most expensive tires, priced at 8,000 yuan each.

Liu Rui’s smile widened. "Young Master Wu, the service will take nearly two hours. To keep our clients from getting bored, we have computers and televisions available."

Wu Yun waved a hand dismissively. "No need. We’re going to go look at some other cars."

After following Liu Rui to the cashier to pay the 50,000 yuan service fee, he and Xu Chenxi walked out of the Lamborghini dealership.

When they had arrived earlier, Wu Yun had noticed that the Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin dealerships were right next to the Lamborghini one, and he felt the urge to go take a look.

"Let’s check out Rolls-Royce first!" In Wu Yun’s mind, most Rolls-Royce models were meant to be chauffeur-driven.

’A future model like the Cullinan was probably still just a blueprint on someone’s drawing board.’

As Wu Yun and his companion entered the dealership, they were warmly welcomed by the salespeople. ’Of course we’re going to welcome them. A chance to poach a customer from next door, even if they do look a little young.’

"Sir, ma’am, do you have an appointment?" a beautiful saleswoman asked with a smile as she approached.

Wu Yun shook his head. "No, I’d just like to look around first. Could you show me what you have?"

"Sir, do you have a particular model in mind?" the saleswoman asked, maintaining her professional smile.

Wu Yun said calmly, "Take me to see the Phantom first."

"Right this way, sir! We currently have two main Phantom models in our showroom. The first is the 2013 6.7L standard model, and the other is the 2013 6.7L two-door coupé!"

Wu Yun was a little surprised. It was the first time he’d heard of the Phantom having a coupé version; he had always assumed they were strictly for business use.

However, after seeing the two-door Phantom coupé, Wu Yun immediately wrote it off.

’The style is completely wrong for someone my age. If I drove it, I’d look just like a chauffeur!’

Seeing that Wu Yun wasn’t very interested in the Phantom coupé, the saleswoman led him over to the standard Phantom.

"Mr. Wu, what Rolls-Royce is most famous for is its coach-door opening style." As she spoke, the saleswoman pulled open both the front and rear doors on one side, revealing the entire interior.

"Can I sit inside?" Wu Yun asked, pointing into the car.

The saleswoman smiled. "Of course! Please."

After Wu Yun sat down, the saleswoman explained the functions of the various control buttons on the seat and the features in the armrest.

Wu Yun got out and moved to the executive seat in the back, motioning for Xu Chenxi to take the seat he had just been in.

They both experienced the space in the back. It was much more spacious than the rear of a Mercedes S-Class, which made sense as there were only two seats.

"Mr. Wu, if you feel the rear space isn’t large enough, our 2013 model also comes in an extended wheelbase version. The extended version comes standard with features like the Starlight Headliner."

As she spoke, the saleswoman took out her tablet and pulled up the presentation for the extended model.

"Darling, the Starlight Headliner is so beautiful!" Xu Chenxi said with a look of longing, pointing at the rendering on the tablet.

’Although the price difference between the Lamborghini and the Phantom isn’t huge, their level of prestige is worlds apart.’

’After seeing the style with which Du Juan traveled, I felt I should buy one too. Otherwise, how could a CEO drive himself to a business negotiation? That just wouldn’t do!’

"How long does it take to get an extended model if I order one?"

Hearing Wu Yun’s direct question, the saleswoman was stunned for a moment. Her voice held a hint of excitement. "Mr. Wu, it takes six to eight months to have a Rolls-Royce custom-built for you."

Fearing that Wu Yun might think the wait was too long, the saleswoman explained, "Every Rolls-Royce, from the body color and leather to the interior trim and accessories, can be customized to the client’s specifications."

"Therefore, it takes some time for the craftsmen to create the components needed to meet the client’s personal customization requests."

"Of course, we do have a standard Phantom in stock, one just like the model we’re looking at now."

Listening to the saleswoman, Wu Yun stroked his chin in thought for a moment before saying calmly, "Customize one for me. And I’ll take the one in stock."
