Chapter 623: Chapter 621: The Crown Prince’s Scheme

On the phone, Li Shan asked, "Do you want me to pick you up at the airport?"

"Huh?" Wan Chuchu was puzzled. She had lost Ming Wan; how could she possibly return now? She had to find Ming Wan first.

So she said, "Brother Lishan, I won’t go back yet. Can you help me locate the ring my grandfather gave me?"

Li Shan asked, "Isn’t the ring with you?"

Wan Chuchu, in a low mood, said, "No, an hour and a half ago, I put the ring on Ming Wan’s hand, and now I can’t find her. Please help me locate her, I promised the Crown Prince that I would take good care of Ming Wan."

Having failed to fulfill what she had promised, Wan Chuchu regretted her previous carelessness.

Hearing her words, Li Shan curiously said, "The location of the ring shows it’s on the way to the airport, about twenty minutes from arriving."

"What?!" Wan Chuchu was shocked and couldn’t quite believe what she heard.

If Ming Wan was taken to the airport, the person who took her could only be someone from the Crown Prince’s side.

Realizing this possibility, Wan Chuchu felt uncomfortable and after thinking for a moment, she said, "Brother Lishan, keep an eye on the ring’s movement for me and call this phone if anything happens."

The phone she had just taken from Andrew hadn’t been returned to him. After checking it, Wan Chuchu disabled its tracking feature to make it easier for her to use—the Crown Prince’s phone could only make calls, not receive them, which was inconvenient.

"Okay, be careful." Li Shan didn’t ask further questions.

Wan Chuchu took out another phone to call the Crown Prince. As soon as the call connected, she sharply asked,

"Ming, what do you mean?! You took your sister away without even informing me. Are you trying to leave me here as bait?

I agreed to accompany your sister to Y Country, but I didn’t agree to sell my life for you!

I thought you were straightforward, but I didn’t expect your intentions to be so malicious. To achieve your unspeakable secrets, you even threw your own sister into a den of wolves!

I don’t care what your goal is. From now on, any deal between me, Wan Chu’er, and you is over!

Don’t let me see you again. If I see you, I’ll hit you every time!"

On the other end of the phone, the Crown Prince was feeling a headache. He didn’t expect Wan Chuchu to see through everything so quickly. Finally, when he got a chance to speak, he quickly said: 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

"My dear lady, I couldn’t reach you. You know your phone only makes calls, not receives. I was also waiting for your call."

Wan Chuchu didn’t believe a word of it, coldly saying, "Spare me!"

The Crown Prince continued, "When they found Ming Wan, she was very agitated, and I had no choice. I had to let them take her to the airport first. Everything is arranged at the airport. You can rush over now; the flight takes off in two hours, you can make it."

Wan Chuchu snorted, "What if I hadn’t called you and missed the flight? Wouldn’t I just be caught up in this mafia gang conflict, becoming a pawn in their chase instead of your sister!"

The Crown Prince said, "I know you. If my sister went missing, you would definitely call me, so you would make it in time for the flight."

Wan Chuchu still didn’t accept his good intentions, saying, "I hope everything goes smoothly on my way to the airport. Otherwise, any trouble and I’ll hold you responsible."

"There’s nothing much I can do about you. At worst, when I return, I’ll have my grandfather talk to your father, see how you’ve been taking care of your sister."

Recalling the time they departed from home, the commander himself came to the airport with people to catch them. The commander probably already knew his son’s intentions, trying to pull his daughter away, but Ming Wan was deeply entangled in her attachment to her ex-boyfriend, and she managed to fly out anyway.

The Crown Prince helplessly said, "Several major incidents happened within the mafia yesterday and today. Be careful on your way."

"All your handiwork, huh?!" Wan Chuchu sarcastically asked.

The Crown Prince, helpless against Wan Chuchu’s sharpness, just said, "I was just going with the flow. Their internal grudges run deep and would explode eventually."

Wan Chuchu chuckled lightly and decisively said, "Tomorrow my Second Brother will go find you. If he’s satisfied, I’ll accept being calculated this time. Otherwise, I won’t forget it."

Nobody could beat Xiao Bai in negotiating benefits.

What she said just now was just out of anger, though even if she was upset, she couldn’t really do anything about the Crown Prince. Moreover, she couldn’t actually have her grandfather confront the Ming Family over this. So, while the Crown Prince was at a disadvantage, she might as well make the most out of it.

After all, she didn’t want this trip to be for nothing!

However, she couldn’t truly fall out with the Crown Prince over this. Xiao Bai was best and most suited for managing such situations.

Sure enough, hearing Wan Chuchu’s words, the Crown Prince lightly laughed, "I’ll make sure to entertain Xiao Bai well."

After hanging up, Wan Chuchu called Li Shan again, telling him the bank account and password she had robbed from Andrew, and asked him to find a way to get the money out.

Then she called Xiao Bai, briefly explaining the situation and asked him to go to the Crown Prince for benefits tomorrow.

Xiao Bai was furious; this Crown Prince had gone too far! Teasing their siblings repeatedly—was it fun!!

"Don’t worry. Let Second Brother get you something as a bottom-up for you."

Wan Chuchu laughed, "Just save up for your little chubby niece’s dowry."

"Alright, be careful on the way."

Xiao Bai’s attempt to win over the little princess hadn’t worked; now, he doted on Chuanqi, the little chubby niece, even more. Everything prepared earlier for the little princess was suddenly given to Chuanqi. Chuanqi happily hugged Xiao Bai and kissed him several times, saying, "Second Uncle is the best," which made Xiao Bai even more doting on Chuanqi.

After hanging up, Wan Chuchu focused on driving. She sped as fast as she could. Andrew’s car performed exceptionally, and the adrenaline rush she got from the wind blowing past her helped dispel all of her previous unease.

She encountered two cars heading towards a small building in the woods. Those cars honked from afar, signaling her to stop, but Wan Chuchu remained unfazed. The car sped forward without slowing, colliding straight ahead. Those in the other cars weren’t as reckless, barely avoiding her path.

Finally reaching the airport, Wan Chuchu saw Ming Wan as expected.

Ming Wan stood outside the airport, looking intently in the direction Wan Chuchu was coming from. It was clear she was waiting for someone, though it was uncertain whether it was for Wan Chuchu or Andrew.

But as soon as Ming Wan saw Wan Chuchu getting out of the car, she hurriedly ran over, tightly grabbing Wan Chuchu’s hand, apologizing, "I’m sorry, I didn’t wait for you."

Wan Chuchu couldn’t help but laugh, "Then who were you waiting for while standing here?"

Ming Wan paused, realizing that Wan Chuchu wasn’t upset about her leaving first. A gentle, jade-like smile appeared on her face.

"Let’s go inside," she said with a warm smile.

Wan Chuchu nodded, "Let me grab my luggage first."

She rummaged through the car, only taking the laptop and phone she brought along, along with a small pack of diamonds.

The two guns were left in the car, as was a bag containing tens of thousands in cash that couldn’t be taken onto the plane. She didn’t inform the person accompanying Ming Wan about the money in the car either.

Hmph! Not only did they monitor her, but they secretly took Ming Wan away, making her worry. Even if the money was wasted, she wouldn’t tell them!
