Chapter 1331: Chapter 1331: Can You Please Stop Bothering Them?

After Evelyn and Ryan left one after another, Harriet returned to the room and got a shocking and angry piece of information from Aiden: Evelyn and Thomas Fisher were pretending to be a couple.

Initially, Harriet didn’t believe it was true. But when she heard Aiden say that not only did he see through it, but Thomas’s father Cedric Fisher also noticed it, she was dumbfounded.

She hadn’t yet recovered from this shocking news when Amelia Linton called her to inform her about Evelyn’s visit to the Linton Family earlier.

"Of course, I know. Why did you deceive us? Do you think this is fun?" Thinking about being deceived for over two months, Harriet was furious, and her gaze towards Evelyn was visibly angry.

Due to some previous incidents, Evelyn was also holding in a lot of anger. Hearing her mother’s angry questioning, she retorted back without holding back: "I did it because you forced me. If you hadn’t been forcing me to go on blind dates every day, would I have resorted to deceiving you like this?"

She shifted all the blame onto her mother sitting beside her, completely absolving herself.

"I was pushing you to go on blind dates for your own good. If you brought a boyfriend home yourself, would I push you to go on blind dates?" Harriet responded with equal fervor, throwing the blame back at her daughter.

Hearing her mother’s words, Evelyn’s temper flared up all at once, and she shouted at Harriet, "I don’t want to bring a boyfriend home for you to see, you..."

"Why are you shouting? You’re in the wrong and yet you have the audacity to shout?" Harriet and Evelyn’s voices were loud just now. Aiden, worried that the mother and daughter might get into an unpleasant situation, quickly came out of the room. As he reached the living room entrance, he heard Evelyn shouting at Harriet, and his brow furrowed deeply.

As Aiden’s voice suddenly came from the entrance, Harriet and Evelyn instinctively turned their heads towards the living room door, and only then did they notice his presence.

"You’ve made a mistake and don’t know how to reflect on it, and now you’re shouting at others at home. Is this how I have educated you?" Under the gaze of mother and daughter, Aiden strode over, questioning Evelyn as he walked.

Since childhood, Evelyn has had a sense of awe towards her father. Although this feeling has faded somewhat now, she’s still very afraid of her father.

"I didn’t, I was just speaking a bit loudly," she said, her voice softening considerably, and her tone becoming more gentle than before.

"Why did you go to Easton’s house again? Easton is happy with Lily now; can you stop bothering them?" When Amelia had called Harriet earlier, Aiden was sitting beside her and listened clearly to their conversation.

Upon hearing this, Evelyn’s beautiful brows furrowed instantly, her face turning unpleasant, "When did I ever bother them? Dad! Am I your biological daughter, or is that woman your biological daughter? Why do you all speak for that woman? What benefits has that woman given you?"

She vented the resentment bottled up inside her in a torrent.
