After Evelyn and Ryan left one after another, Harriet returned to the room and got a shocking and angry piece of information from Aiden: Evelyn and Thomas Fisher were pretending to be a couple.
Initially, Harriet didn’t believe it was true. But when she heard Aiden say that not only did he see through it, but Thomas’s father Cedric Fisher also noticed it, she was dumbfounded.
She hadn’t yet recovered from this shocking news when Amelia Linton called her to inform her about Evelyn’s visit to the Linton Family earlier.

She shifted all the blame onto her mother sitting beside her, completely absolving herself.
"I was pushing you to go on blind dates for your own good. If you brought a boyfriend home yourself, would I push you to go on blind dates?" Harriet responded with equal fervor, throwing the blame back at her daughter.
Hearing her mother’s words, Evelyn’s temper flared up all at once, and she shouted at Harriet, "I don’t want to bring a boyfriend home for you to see, you..."
"Why are you shouting? You’re in the wrong and yet you have the audacity to shout?" Harriet and Evelyn’s voices were loud just now. Aiden, worried that the mother and daughter might get into an unpleasant situation, quickly came out of the room. As he reached the living room entrance, he heard Evelyn shouting at Harriet, and his brow furrowed deeply.
As Aiden’s voice suddenly came from the entrance, Harriet and Evelyn instinctively turned their heads towards the living room door, and only then did they notice his presence.
