Chapter 70: Alchemist / 8.4 : Master is back
Huang looked out the window as the car drove to the spa. When he arrived Yinglun and Zihan got in the car. They rode back home in silence. Huang is starting to lose patience and he knows that his wife and daughter are too. They’ve tried to call Eden about a hundred times but he still isn’t answering. The last bit of money he had he gave it to them to go relax at the spa all day.
He always uses all his salary on the first day he is paid then he used the credit card he had made from Eden’s bank account for the rest of the month but now he can’t use it since it’s blocked like his daughter’s card.
They can’t go back to living the way they’ve been living. He tried to get in touch with people around Eden in B Country but then he realized that he doesn’t know who is around him. He only signed him to a school and bought him an apartment using his money. He had a credit card so it’s not like he needed anything from him.
Eden isn’t responding and if it’s still the same the next couple of days he’ll have to borrow money and leave for B Country. When they arrived they got in the elevator to the third floor. They were surprised to see a bodyguard standing in front of the master three suite bedroom.
Huang walked toward the man not understanding what he was doing in front of his bedroom.
"What are you doing here?"
The man looked at him and answered:
"Master told me to stop anyone from entering his bedroom."
Huang frowned.
"What are you talking about I’m the master of this house."
Huang tried to get through but the man blocked his way.
Zihan looked at her husband and yelled:
"Do something I want to enter my bedroom!"
Huang threatened the man:
"If you don’t get out of the way I’ll call the police."
The security guard rolled his eyes.
Huang and Zihan ran when they heard their daughter scream. They entered her bedroom and looked around stunned. All her belongings were gone and her spacious bedroom was turned into an office. Yinglun ran to her walk-in closet to make sure that all her clothes, bags, shoes, and jewelry were there.
She looked around so shocked that she was unable to say anything. She looked at her father in rage and yelled:
"Father where the hell are all my belongings?"
Seeing that all her things were gone Huang ran to his bedroom. He was so distressed that he didn’t notice that the security guard wasn’t there anymore. Zihan who had followed him looked around crazily for her belongings unable to find them. She spent millions on jewelry she’ll never let it go like that. Huang looked at the newly decorated room not understanding how someone was able to get rid of all their belongings just like that. Just this morning there was a different bed, walk-in closet, and furniture.
How could the staff not call him when the moving truck and men came to change everything. He walked out of the room looking for the bodyguard to see who his so-called master is. He ordered:
"Tell me where your master is?"
"The living room."
They got into the elevator ready to kill whoever dared to enter their house and act like it was his. Yinglun walked out of the elevator first wanting to kill the one who touched her clothes.
When they arrived in the living room they first saw a man’s back. He seemed to be drinking tea, they stood in front of him astonished. Huang said incredulously:
"Eden?"
After taking a sip of tea Eden put down the cup. He leaned back and crossed his legs with a smile.
"Uncle."
He looked at Zihan and Yinglun.
"Aunt, cousin."
Yinglun woke up from her stupor and yelled:
"Who do you think you are entering my room and moving all my stuff?"
She pulled Eden’s hand and ordered:
"Put everything back before I..."
Before she could pull Eden up he pushed her and she fell backward. Huang, Zihan, and Yinglun looked at Eden shocked as he wiped the arm she had touched with disgust.
Yinglun couldn’t believe someone dared to push her. Her father, her, mother, and her fiance Yan all treat her like a princess. But that disgusting orphan Eden pushed her! Does he have a death wish? So it wasn’t enough that he moved all her stuff? To think his filthy hands were on her belongings makes her want to throw up.
Huang and Zihan helped their daughter up. Before Yinglun could say anything Eden threatened:
"If you dare lay a hand on me ever again you’ll lose more than your balance."
They were speechless when they felt his murderous aura. Yinglun felt like kneeling and begging for forgiveness.
Huang looked at Eden like he was looking at a stranger. What happened those years away? He coughed and asked:
"Eden, what happened to our bedrooms?"
Eden explained expressionlessly:
"Uncle after me you knew grandfather better than anyone. He always said that only those who contributed to Z Elixir should live on the third floor, he believed that you should earn what you have not just buy them using someone else’s money. That’s why I took back everything you purchased with my money and moved you to the first floor."
They looked at Eden wide-eyed. They thought that his lawyer told him to cut their credit cards but Eden did it of his own volition. Plus he wants them to sleep on the first floor? There the rooms are tiny, they are used to sleeping in suites now. His he out of his mind? And did he say he gave everything back?
Yinglun looked at Eden teary-eyed and asked:
"You didn’t give my clothes and shoes back right?"
Eden smiled mockingly.
"Of course I did, you didn’t deserve any of them. The only clothes in your new room are the clothes you had before you moved here."
Yinglun looked at her father crying. Huang felt heartbroken seeing her daughter like that. He said:
"Eden I work at Z Elixir, I had a salary every month I paid for those things."
Eden raised an eyebrow and asked:
"Really? Is your salary around 100 000 0000 a year?"
Huang looked at him in silence not knowing what to answer.
"Now that I’m back I’m going to run this ship the same way grandfather used to. You’re done getting money for doing nothing, you’ll have to earn every cent."
A maid came in to announce:
"Master dinner is ready."
Eden smiled at her and said:
"Thank you I’ll be right there."
The maid smiled and left.
When she was gone Eden stood up and ordered his family:
"Come on let’s have dinner as a family."
He left not waiting for their answer.
When he was out of earshot Yinglun burst out crying:
"Father, how am I supposed to show myself with the clothes he left me? What if Yan breaks up with me for a better-dressed girl?"
Zihan hugged her daughter and told her husband:
"You have to do something to get rid of Eden."
Huang who had been looking down thinking looked up with a smile.
He reassured:
"I’ll take everything back Eden took from us you don’t have to worry. In the meantime, I’ll borrow money until I have access to the inheritance. Yan will be able to help us get rid of him for good."
Yinglun looked at her father hopefully.
"Really?"
"Don’t worry darling I’ll get back everything he took away."
Yinglun hugged her father feeling better. She trusts him she knows he won’t let her down.
Huang smiled looking at the door Eden had just passed through. He won’t even let his father tell him what to do let alone some kid. He’ll get rid of Eden just like he got rid of his enemies. He spent his entire childhood trying to please his father but all he cared about was his brother. When his brother passed away he was beyond happy he thought that he would finally earn his father’s love but he was wrong.
His father took Eden in and loved him even more than he did his brother. He doesn’t even know why he is surprised, he always favored his brother so, of course, he would favor Eden. But he never thought he would go as far as to give his entire inheritance to Eden. Just because he isn’t an Alchemist like them does that he isn’t good enough?
If he wasn’t there managing the company he wouldn’t be able to lock himself in his laboratory working in tranquility. Eden humiliated him even more than his father by coming into the house he grew up in and acting like he is the master. Thankfully he has Yan and he knows he’ll do everything he’ll ask of him.
Eden will have a worst fate than his father did. He’s going to destroy him just like he destroyed his father. Eden made the biggest mistake coming back.
