Chapter 266: Interstellar / 2.1 : This Kian is an omega
When Kian opened his eyes, he was sitting in a room with multiple people. They were all sitting on chairs, facing a stage. On it was a table and two empty chairs.
He looked out the window and saw that they were in space. They were traveling at the speed of light. Kian blinked to receive this universe’s information.
This Kian is an 18-year-old omega. Kian grew up in an orphanage after his mother abandoned him.
The only reason he was able to make it through, was his best friend, Tan. Tan was also an omega, who was abandoned at birth.
The two counted on each other for everything and developed a strong bond. Tan dreamed of joining the army.
Since he was little, he wished to break barriers and be a role model for all omegas. The more Tan spoke about it to Kian, the more inspired he became.
He decided to join the army too. Kian wanted Tan to be in his life forever and believed it was the best way. Kian worked hard at school and helped a struggling Tan.
After saving up money from his work after school, Kian and Tan moved in together. Kian would go to school and right after, he would work at a shop, to pay for his apartment and the tuition for Bei Academy.
Bei Academy was the best military school in the federation. It was owned by the Beis, who owned the army. While Kian wanted to join that academy because of their result, Tan wanted to be close to Shaotian.
Bei Shaotian was the heir to the Bei fortune. He oversaw the recruitment trials. Shaotian’s entire life was in the army, and he wanted to avoid having people who wouldn’t take it seriously.
Being part of the Bei’s army was a huge honor and everyone dreamed of it. The recruitment trials were a considerable deal and aired live in the entire galaxy. They were three important trials and a mission on a hostile planet.
The first trial was to survive the planet Greron A1. The planet Greron A1 was habited by the alien specie, Neran-ne. They had egg-shaped heads, with very long horns on their forehead.
They also had two sunken blue eyes, that were partially retractable. It helped them see in the dark, and their ears were webbed fin-like. Their long snouts allowed them to smell anything, from miles away.
They had sharp teeth and two condor wings. The Neran-ne would stay underground during the day, because of their allergy to the sun, and hunt at night. They were one of the most feared alien species in the galaxy.
During the day, the forest they lived in, was habited by the Intion. The intion was a considerable hybrid. It was a quadrupedal reptile, with a pangolin head. They had a crocodile snout with two very long canines.
It had two short, muscular forelegs that ended in suction cups and two heavy hind legs, that ended in delicate pads.
The recruits had to survive four nights and five days there. Those who did would be able to sign up at Bei Academy. Less than a month after signing, they would have the second trial.
The result would tell if the student would join the academy department or the martial department. Everyone was eager to join the martial department, including Tan and Kian.
But the second trial was extremely hard. The recruits would be sent to planet Yomia. 85% of the planet was water. They would each have an underwater ship, and have to find a gerine. The gerine was a medium aquatic amphibian, with a crow head covered with tendrils.
It had no eyes but could feel the smallest movement in the water. Every 40 years, the gerine would give birth to babies, and one would evolve to become a plague. The gerine’s body was covered in a thin skin, that released oily secretions.
Those secretions would kill anything in its surrounding. If they didn’t kill every new batch of babies every 40 years, the poison from the secretion would take over the planet, then the entire galaxy.
Each student had one gerine to take care of and the eggs they laid. The third trial was in the Bei Academy, in the simulation room. The final mission was to take care of pirates who had turned against the federation.
Kian and Tan passed the first trial and joined Bei academy. During the five days they had to survive on planet Greron A1, the entire galaxy fell in love with Kian. Everyone was not only impressed by his skills, but they felt that he was the most beautiful omega.
He helped other recruits if they were in danger and also shared his food. Everyone believed it was refreshing when the other recruits were selfish and only thought about themselves.
When they were back on the ship and Tan saw how much everyone loved Kian, he became jealous. Tan hated that because of Kian, he wasn’t the only omega admitted at Bei Academy. To worsen it, he was now outshining him.
He calmed down when they passed the test to see everyone’s spiritual level and saw that Kian was 3S. His physical strength was also lower to him, A. Tan’s spiritual level was 3S and his physical strength was AA.
The reason Kian had surpassed him, was that he had trained every day to make sure he wouldn’t fail his entry to Bei Academy, while Tan would go out. Despite that, Kian was still popular and everyone would always praise him at the academy.
When Bei Shaotian praised him for doing so well, Tan decided that it was time to get rid of him. Tan had always been obsessed with Bei Shaotian and wanted to be with him, no matter what.
Tan got closer to Jing Yuan, who was the sergeant and Shaotian’s friend. Jing Yuan had a crush on Tan, and would always invite him when they would go out. Shaotian got closer to Tan as a friend.
But during the second trial, he beamed himself in his watership to confess his feelings. Shaotian had tried to bury his feelings for him, but knowing he might die, he couldn’t do it anymore. The two spent the night together, and Shaotian left before they were live in the galaxy again, the next day.
Kian, unfortunately, died during that mission. Tan cried on live television, and the entire galaxy felt bad for him. He successfully made it through all trials and joined the martial department of Bei Academy.
When Tan graduated, he and Shaotian married. Everyone celebrated their love. The two became the most powerful and feared couple in the galaxy. When Kian received all the information, he smiled.
