Chapter 244: Heretic / 1.5 : The almighty who?
As they ate, Kian discussed with Magnus. He likes him, he is a fair and just being. His family never acts dishonorably, contrary to his. He believes that by the end of this they’ll both end up making their people happy.
Furthermore, he isn’t judgmental or superior. He’s been alive a long time, and with age comes wisdom. He looked at Lucian when he asked:

Cayus smiled despite feeling like Kian’s eyes were a little too fierce. Lucian looked between the two, then his eyes lingered on Kian. Kian turned his head and looked at Lucian. Kian felt like rolling his eyes.
He can’t help but want to hit him, hit his perfect face, hair, and... Everything about him is perfect, it’s so annoying. When he saw Lucian’s eyes turned amused, he narrowed his eyes.
Lucian asked:
"Xiao Kian, have I done something to upset you?"

When everyone saw the mist coming out of Lucian, they all looked at Kian stunned. Serena looked at Kian wide-eyed. Is he trying to ruin her marriage before it starts? She incanted:
"A curse of the blood shall never befall you, block this witch from reaching my intended’s heart."
She looked at Lucian, thinking that it would be over, but Kian’s incantation was still in full force. She felt stunned, how could she not stop him? She looked at her father. Cayus swallowed and ordered:
"Kian enough! I’m sure the crown prince meant no offense."
Kian turned his head slowly and asked:
"Did you just give me an order?"
When Kian’s eyes darkened, Cayus immediately said:
"Of course not, I was just advising leader Kian."
The vampires couldn’t stop themselves from smiling. Lucian chuckled, it seems like Kian runs a tight ship. Kian looked at Lucian even more annoyed. He waved his hand and ended the spell.
He took a sip of sanguin and warned:
"Don’t call me Xiao. I already know that you’re patronizing, it’s not like you have to say anything."
Lucian tilted his head and understood why he’s been feeling his anger since he first met him. He isn’t talking down to Kian, he just thinks that he’s cute and when you look at him, you can’t help but want to take care of him.
There’s a reason why everyone worships him, and it’s part of it. Lucian said:
"I don’t think of you as less, where did you get this idea?"
Kian opened his mouth, but then nothing came out. It’s true that technically he didn’t say anything, but every man who looks like that usually is to him. He said:

Lucian forced himself not to laugh. He can tell that it took him a lot to say that. He said:
"I’d like that."
Kian looked up and saw that he was serious. He relaxed but still felt like hiding forever. Everyone looked at the scene astonished. What the fuck is going on? They felt that maybe because leader Kian will die soon, he is acting differently. In any case, this is odd.
Magnus looked at his son Lucian, then at Kian who was eating in silence. It seems like there’s way more to Leader Kian than he first saw.

Kian is being such an attention whore right now. She looked at her hand under the table, and it trembled. How could she not get through Kian’s spell? She’s more powerful than him, she’s sure of it. But her magic didn’t even do a dent in his.
She swallowed and looked at her father. Cayus who had been looking at her hand smiled at her reassuringly. This isn’t the time, they’ll talk when they’re alone. He looked at Kian and narrowed his eyes.
