Chapter 213: [Bonus Chapter] ABO / 5.24 : Atlas gives birth

"Give us just one more push."

Atlas looked at Damian panting and tightened the hold he had on his hand. He sobbed:

"I can’t do it."

Damian kissed his forehead and said:

"You can do it beloved one more and you’ll be able to hold the baby."

Atlas nodded, he took a deep breath and pushed with all his might. When the baby was out the doctor immediately grabbed it and held him on his stomach after moving the umbilical card.

Atlas felt his heartbeat quicken and asked between sobs:

"Why isn’t he crying?"

He watched as the doctor tapped on his back over and over again. Damian said reassuringly:

"It’s gonna be okay this often happens."

Atlas looked as the doctor kept tapping his back in fear. No, he can’t lose the baby he’ll never accept it. He’s carried him for nine months and now that he can finally hold him in his arms he can’t die.

When he heard the baby crying he let out a breath and felt like it was the most beautiful sound in the world. Damian let out a breath as well and thanked the gods. This was the longest 20 seconds of their life.

Seeing that the baby was alive Atlas’ remaining strength left him and he passed out. Atlas woke up and immediately looked around the room in fear. He relaxed when he saw Damian holding the baby in his arms.

Damian stood up from the couch and took a seat on the bed. He handed the baby to Atlas and he carried it. Atlas held the baby in his arms tightly and tears ran down his face as he looked at his precious sleeping face.

He never thought he would be pregnant again let alone give birth to a child. His pregnancy went well so he didn’t expect that the baby would come early and that the delivery would be so hard.

But all of that was worth it because he’s here, he’s finally here. Damian wiped the tears on his face and Atlas looked up. Damian caressed Atlas’ head.

He knows that the delivery was hard but he did amazing and didn’t expect anything less from Atlas.

"You’re the strongest person I’ve ever met. I always knew you could do this."

Atlas’s eyes moistened and he said:

"I was only able to make it because you give me strength. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you. Thank you."

Damian said:

"I told you there’s no need to say thank you between us. I’ll never leave your side I promise."

Atlas smiled and Damian leaned in kissing him tenderly. Damian pulled back and pressed his forehead on Atlas’s. When Atlas felt a shift he pulled back and looked into Caspian’s eyes.

Caspian caressed his cheek and then looked at the baby. Atlas asked:

"Do you want to hold him?"

Caspian nodded and took the baby. He looked at the baby teary-eyed. He’s been alive for so long but this is the first time that he’s ever had a child. Atlas could feel how emotional Caspian was.

Caspian kissed the baby’s forehead lightly then looked at Atlas.

"You’re the only person who’s ever made me want to have a family."

"So are you."

Caspian said:

"I’m proud of you for being so strong."

Atlas said:

"I was only strong because you came forth every time I needed you. I’ll choose a universe with a strong concentration of power next to make sure you get all that power back."

Damian said:

"It doesn’t matter if I had to come forth every day I would’ve. Power means nothing if my soulmate isn’t okay."

They were times when he felt Atlas going back into that bubble of fear so he would come forth. Despite that, he always knew he would make it. His baby has been through so much and he wishes he could take away all that pain.

Atlas’ heartbeat quickened and he looked at his Er-Ge teary-eyed. Atlas leaned in and kissed Caspian.

"I love you so much Er-Ge."

"I love you more beloved."

Caspian asked:

"What do you want to call the baby?"

Atlas didn’t need to think and he asked:

"How about we call him Eden?"

Caspian looked at him then at the baby. He kissed his forehead again and said:

"I love you Eden."

Atlas’ eyes softened. He could already feel how much Caspian loves Eden. He told him that Eden gave him a program that allowed him to feel more at ease during his pregnancy and how grateful he is to him so he knew he would be okay with that name.

Caspian looked up and said:

"I have to go."

Atlas nodded, he felt unable to speak. He wishes he could stay longer but he knows that he can’t. He’s already grateful he came forth every time he could see that he wasn’t okay.

Atlas kissed him and simply said as Caspian did last time:

"Soon."

"Soon beloved."

Atlas smiled and after blinking he was back in time. Damian had his forehead pressed on his. Atlas pulled back and asked:

"What do you think about the name Eden?"

Damian said with a smile.

"I like it let’s name him that."

Atlas smiled and he looked at Eden in his arms.

When someone knocked Atlas said:

"Come in."

Jacob entered with his mate Tristan. Atlas smiled at them and they smiled back. Damian stood up so they could see the baby. Jacob walked to the bed and looked at his little brother with shiny eyes.

Atlas smiled and asked:

"Do you want to hold your brother?"

Jacob nodded eagerly and Atlas handed him the baby.

Tristan stood behind Jacob looking at the adorable bundle of joy. He said:

"Atlas your baby is the cutest I have ever seen."

Damian and Atlas chuckled.

"Thank you."

Jacob asked:

"What’s his name?"

Damian answered:

"Eden."

Jacob promised looking at Eden:

"I will always protect you Eden."

Damian’s eyes softened. This whole thing still feels like a dream, he never thought he could feel this happy before.

Jacob and Tristan stayed an hour and after making sure Atlas was okay they left. Damian put the baby on the cradle and said before leaving:

"I’ll go back home get a few things and I’ll be right back."

Atlas nodded and when Damian was gone he called:

"Eden, can you come?"

A few seconds after that Eden appeared. He took a seat next to Atlas and asked:

"How are you feeling I’ve been worried?"

"I’m okay now. I had a few complications."

Eden asked:

"What happened?"

"The umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck so he wasn’t breathing when he came out but the doctor brought him back. I had lost a lot of blood and I passed out after the delivery but we’re both okay now."

Eden leaned in and hugged Atlas. He knows how hard it must’ve been for Atlas to go through the pregnancy let alone all of this. The fact that he never gave up even when he was at his worst is proof that he grew up.

Before when things would become difficult Atlas would just run away just like he did with his feelings but this time he didn’t. He called him often and every time they talked even if he felt his anxiousness he never doubted him.

Eden pulled back and said with a smile:

"I knew you could do it."

Atlas smiled and his eyes moistened. He feels so emotional it’s insane.

"I’m sorry I was so annoying and called you as often as I did."

"You don’t have to apologize I’m the one who told you to call whenever you need and I’m glad you did. I care about you so I would expect you to call when you’re not okay."

Atlas smiled and his cheeks flushed.

"I care about you too."

Eden caressed his head and stood up to look at the baby. His eyes softened when he saw his cute face. He can still remember the feeling of having his first child and he’s happy Atlas will feel all that happiness ahead.

Eden went back to take a seat at his side and said:

"He’s beautiful Atlas. What’s his name?"

"Eden."

Eden tilted his head waiting for him to ask what he wanted. Atlas chuckled and said:

"I named him Eden."

Eden looked at him stunned.

"If it weren’t for you and Er-Ge I know that I wouldn’t have made it."

Not only did Eden give him the program but he was also there anytime he called.

Eden looked at him touched. He hugged Atas again and he hugged him back. When he pulled back Atlas asked:

"Do you think next time I’m back to Versal you could show me a universe with a strong concentration of power?"

Eden said:

"Of course. What’s the rush?"

"Caspian came forth every time he felt that I wasn’t okay and it took a lot out of him."

Eden said:

"Next time you’ll go to Versal you’ll feel a pull toward a planet and all you’ll have to do is follow it."

Atlas nodded.

"Thank you."

Eden smiled.
