Chapter 195: ABO / 5.6 : Anything for him
Jacob knocked on his father’s office door and entered when he permitted him. He closed the door behind him and stood in front of the desk.
Damian asked his eyes on his screen:
"What is it?"
Jacob said:
"I just wanted to make sure you remembered that the Nye are coming for dinner in an hour."
"I do."
When Damian saw that Jacob was still standing there he looked up and asked:
"Do you have something to add?"
Jacob said:
"I love Elwyn it’s not the same as with Atlas."
Damian smiled.
"I know that since you were sleeping with him while you were engaged to Atlas. Isn’t that why you let me know about the fact that he was changed at birth?"
Jacob felt his heartbeat quicken. He didn’t think his father knew that he was with Elwyn before they changed the contract. He swallowed and said:
"I only let you know because I know how important it is for you to get Nye Games."
Damian leaned back on his chair and crossed his legs.
"Do you believe that not getting Nye Games will have an impact on what I made of Cian Cube?"
Jacob opened his mouth but nothing came out. He always believed that his father needed Nye Games since he made a marriage arrangement with Ludek. This is the only reason he agreed to marry Atlas someone he doesn’t love.
He asked:
"Then why did you want me to marry Atlas?"
"Because he is the reason Nye Games is successful and I believed that with him at your side you two could take over the world."
Jacob looked at his father stunned. He knows that Atlas is a genius in that field, he plays most of his video games but he didn’t think that that’s why his father wanted him to marry him.
His father doesn’t show much emotion despite always having a smile on his face. He understands what he went through as a child but still, he never showed that he cared for him.
He raised him as the heir and Jacob told him early on that he wanted to run Cian Cube but still, he didn’t show anything special that let him know that he believed in him.
But now he knows that he chose Atlas because he thought they would complement each other and they could run the video game field. It made him feel complicated to find that out.
His father was looking out for him. He looked away.
"I let you get back to work."
Damian nodded and looked at his son leave. He knows that he isn’t particularly warm and caring but the only reason he chose Atlas for his son is so he would have someone strong at his side.
Even if he knows that Jacob feels nothing for him he still tried to make sure he wouldn’t fail once he takes over Cian Cube.
But Jacob was a fool and he’s glad or he would’ve never found out that Atlas is his mate.
Jacob entered his bedroom and closed the door behind him. He looked in the distance unsure. He can’t believe his unfeeling father had his back. He probably gave up on him when he found out he was cheating on Atlas.
He shook his head, who cares his father doesn’t love him so why should he care if he did that for him? Even if Elwyn doesn’t know everything Atlas knows about the field right now he will.
He is learning and he knows that no matter what he’ll be fine since Atlas will always work there. He doesn’t even know why he cares about what his father thinks.
That man is nothing more than an asexual robot. He’s never met someone as odd as him. Just because he has an easygoing attitude people believe that he is nice and sweet when he is only ruthless and cold.
The weirdest part about his father is how he never has relation with anyone. It’s true that if he was abused too when he was younger he might be abstinent for some time but not his entire life.
What infuriates him the most is how every beta or omega looks at him. He never feels more invisible than when he walks next to him. Even alphas are attracted to his father.
The entire world knows that he is asexual but they still try to get his attention. He wishes someday he could get the upper hand on his father. No one makes him feel less than his father.
He feels like he’ll never be as good as him. Despite hating him and feeling disdain for him he still has this need to show him that he is just as good as him if not better. One day he’ll show him that he is better than him.
Atlas walked down the stairs. Mircea who was at the door smiled.
"You look great Atlas."
Atlas smiled.
"Thank you, Mircea."
Mircea’s smile faltered slightly. When he gain composition again he said:
"You can call me mother Atlas."
"I prefer to call you Mircea. Are we leaving or not?"
Elwyn sneered inwardly. He doesn’t get why Atlas seems in such a hurry when just a couple of days ago he was crying because Jacob proposed to him. Although he can’t wait to see his confrontation with Damian.
Ludek said:
"Let’s go."
They all got in the limo for the Cian’s estate. When they arrived Atlas looked at Damian’s incredible home.
He got out of the car and gazed at it with an amused smile. Elwyn who had seen his smile said:
"This is where I’ll move in once Jacob and I marry."
Atlas said:
"That’s cool."
As if he’ll let him move in. Once his cellphone rang he looked at them and said:
"Go inside I’ll join you when I’m done."
Mircea said:
"Atlas you can call the person anoth..."
Before he could finish Atlas said as he walked away:
"Hello?"
Mircea’s hands tightened into fists. Ludek said:
"You know him if he picked up it must have to do with his project. Let’s go inside he’ll join us when he is done."
They walked to the door and knocked.
Jacob who was standing near the door was surprised to see his father walk down the stairs and then stood behind him. He looked at the door when the butler opened it.
He smiled as Elwyn walked in with his parents. He hugged him and asked:
"How are you?"
"I’m okay."
Elwyn looked at Damian with a smile and he smiled back. He asked:
"How are you, Elwyn?"
He blushed and answered:
"I’m okay thank you."
Mircea and Ludek said hello to Damian and Jacob looked around for Atlas but couldn’t see him. He asked:
"Where’s Atlas?"
Ludek said apologetically:
"He received a phone call he’ll be right there."
Damian asked:
"Did his cellphone ring?"
"It did."
Damian nodded and looked at the door when Atlas entered. He narrowed his eyes at him. Atlas’ eyes flashed in amusement at his Er-Ge. He knew he would be angry.
Atlas walked directly to him after ignoring Jacob who was about to say hello and stood in front of him.
While Elwyn was excited Ludek and Mircea became nervous that Atlas might cause a scandal. Atlas blinked his blue eyes and called:
"Er-Ge."
They all looked at Atlas stunned because of his familiarity. Damian asked with cold eyes:
"So you heard your cellphone ring right now but you didn’t yesterday?"
Jacob looked at his father confused. Atlas said:
"I was working on Universum and I always put my phone in silent mode when I work. I worked until late that’s why I didn’t call back and I figured I would see you today."
Damian didn’t answer, his eyes were still cold. Atlas wrapped his arms around his waist and looked into his lovely eyes.
He said pouting:
"Er-Ge I’m sorry don’t be angry. I’ll always answer your call from now on even if I’m working I promise."
Atlas smiled when he saw Damian’s front go down a little. He called coquettishly:
"Er-Ge."
The last bit of strength Damian had left him. It isn’t good, Atlas can get away with murder if he looks at him like that. To be fair he doesn’t even have to look at him like that he would do anything for him.
He doesn’t know why but it’s just the way things are. He wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed his forehead. When he saw the blush on his cheeks his eyes softened.
He ordered:
"Don’t forget your promise."
"I won’t."
Damian smiled. He grabbed his hand and said before leading him to the dining room:
"Let’s go eat."
Elwyn, Jacob, Mircea, and Ludek were frozen in shock. Quickly anger took over Elwyn’s shock. Is that what Atlas meant when he said he wanted to see Damian?
He couldn’t wait for this dinner just so he could get closer to his father-in-law but he only had eyes on Atlas. Why must he always take everything from him?
Jacob walked toward the dining room. He knows that his father doesn’t have romantic feelings for Atlas but it still bothers him how sweet and caring he is to him.
He is his son yet he never hugged him or kiss his forehead. He feels like he is doing all of that because as he said Atlas is valuable and it seemed like Atlas believes him.
He saw the way he was blushing when he kissed his forehead. He sneered, just like everyone else Atlas fell for his charm.
He saw him cry for him just a couple of days ago but all it took to forget that he loves him was to receive some attention from his father.
As they walked to the dining room Mircea and Ludek looked at each other. They don’t like how close Atlas and Damian are. It seems like he sees him as his son but it’s only going to make things more difficult. They need to nip this in the bud.
