Chapter 113: Mafia / 1.1 : This Atlas is a mafia boss
"Hello?"
"Hello?"
"Atlas?"
Atlas floated from behind the planet he was leaning against. He looked at the man up and down. He could tell that it was a projection and that he wasn’t physically here. He moved closer and asked:
"Who are you?"
Eden smiled
"Hey I’m Eden I’m here to help you."
Atlas sneered.
"Right."
"I understand the skepticism, I was in the same situation as you until recently."
"I doubt it. You have no idea of what I went through."
Eden said:
"You’ve been transmigrating in the multiverse being screwed over by all the people around you until you died painfully right?"
Atlas narrowed his eyes. It’s an oversimplification but that’s pretty much it.
"How long has it been?"
Atlas answered:
"3159 years."
He’s been counting since day one, it’s not like he had anything better to do.
Eden said:
"You’re lucky I was stuck for more than 10 000 years. I traveled to more than a thousand universes."
Atlas felt slightly stunned hearing that. He thought he had it bad but this person suffered three times longer than him. He asked what he always wanted to know:
"Who did this to us?"
Eden explained to him in detail what happened with GOT and Colton.
The only way he’ll be able to save the others is if they trust him and for that, he has to be honest. Atlas looked down and let out a breath. What angers him the most is that he doesn’t know what he’s done to Colton exactly but the thing is that no matter what it is he is sure that it didn’t warrant such a harsh punishment. To think that such an organization can be corrupted is scary.
Furthermore, even if Eden and Cael are now in charge how does he know that they’ll be fair? He doesn’t know them. What if he is lying and that he’ll never be free now that Colton is gone? The only way to know is to see if Eden can free him from Versem’s hold and if he can gain power once he gets revenge in the next universe.
He looked at Eden when he said:
"I know that the only way you’ll trust me is if you see it by yourself. I understand."
Atlas let out a breath when he felt Versem losing the tight hold it had on him. He blinked and an interface appeared. He checked to make sure he was really in control of it and felt stunned when he saw that he indeed was.
Eden explained:
"The only way I’ll be able to beam you to Magellanic Clouds is if you gain enough power, it will allow you to be able to reach more universes. All you have to do is change your fate in each universe, as long as the people who betrayed you don’t succeed you’ll gain their power. With Versem you’ll be invincible and it will help you with everything you need."
Atlas nodded, he’ll try and if after the first world he sees that he’s truly becoming stronger he’ll trust him. He looked at the planets and floated toward one. He was about to reach out for one but he stopped when Eden said:
"If you need anything just call my name in your head and I’ll be there in a heartbeat. If you just have a question or need information feel free to speak to me I’ll always hear you."
His back to Eden he said:
"En."
He reached for the yellow planet and disappeared. Even if he isn’t free he can at least get retribution and make sure no one walks over him ever again.
When Atlas opened his eyes again he was sitting on a couch in what seemed to be a presidential suite. He frowned when he heard:
"Give me two minutes I’ll bring some champagne."
Atlas blinked to receive this universe’s information.
This Atlas is a 20-year-old omega from the planet Nilian 71Z. Atlas lived on a planet run by three clans. The Yao clan ran by his grandfather Yao Gaozong, the Zen clan, and the Wu clan. The Yao clan owned casinos, hotels, and clubs in every region of the planet while the Zen clan owned brothels and information houses. The Wu clan the smallest of the three specialized in construction, thanks to the Yao and Zen clan occasionally using them their business grew.
The three clan leaders agreed not to overstep the other clans’ territory allowing them to live in peace. The Yao clan was so successful that they expanded their business on planet Olmides. Yao Gaozong put his son Yao Kuang in charge of the clan and the businesses while he expanded his empire. Atlas was extremely close to his grandfather and after his mother passed he decided to follow him to planet Olmides.
For the following 12 years, Atlas and Yao Gaozong didn’t return to planet Nilian 71Z. Their business kept them away until they could finally go back. Unfortunately, before they could leave Yao Gaozong died in a hit and run. The culprit was never caught which broke Atlas’ heart even more. He went back home alone and as soon as he arrived he felt like things weren’t right.
His father and fake twin A-Xuan didn’t seem to be upset about Yao Gaozong’s passing and all they cared about was meeting his lawyer to find out about his will. Once they found out about it even if they didn’t show many emotions Atlas could tell they were upset. His grandfather had left him all the businesses including the clan.
There was an appendix saying that if he wanted to marry and live a quiet life he would receive a large sum of money allowing him to live well until he died and that A-Xuan would inherit the clan and businesses. After seeing it Yao Kuang went to see the leader of the Wu clan Wu Han and offered Atlas in marriage. He told him that if he agreed they would use Wu Construction for all their future project and Wu Han immediately agreed.
When Yao Kuang told Atlas he refused. He didn’t want to marry a stranger and even less when he found out about his abusive reputation. He was only 27 years old but was divorced three times and two of his wives had accidentally died. Everyone knew he was responsible but he was never prosecuted since the clans ran the planet and they could do as they pleased.
After taking Atlas on a guilt trip his father told him to at least have dinner with Wu Han and then decide. Atlas agreed to lunch that would take place in one of the Yao Hotels thinking he would be safe. What he didn’t know is that most of the staff was part of a plan against him. His drink and food were drugged which triggered his heat.
Atlas who had used an inhibitor his entire life was out of control and he begged Wu Han to have him. Wu Han took him to the presidential room his father had reserved for them and they didn’t leave the room until a week later when his heat passed. Atlas was devastated, he couldn’t understand what happened and he couldn’t investigate.
Two weeks later he felt sick and found out he was pregnant. Wu Han found out and begged him to marry him. He swore that he would treat him well and that they would be happy. Atlas agreed and they married. Everything went well in the beginning until the time it took for Atlas to forfeit his inheritance passed.
Wu Han became the abusive and vicious man he previously was and Atlas was beaten daily. He asked for help from his brother and father but all they cared about was preparing for A-Xuan’s wedding with his long-time fiance. Atlas finally gave up when one day Wu Han pushed him down the stairs and he lost the baby. He killed himself in the hospital room not able to deal with his son’s death.
A-Xuan and Yao Kuang incinerated him and went back to their life unaffected. A-Xuan went on to rule the Yao clan and he and his husband became a powerful couple. Yao Kuang respected his deal with Wu Han despite Atlas’ death allowing Wu Construction to expand. When Atlas received all the information his eyes darkened.
