Chapter 88: Meeting her Again

A few miles away from the location where Emperal had run away from...

Thud!

"Huff! This was one tough beast."

Emperal wiped out the sweat from his forehead, and blood dripped from every corner of his body. But, it wasn’t his.

In front of him lay a massive boar. It was, at the very least, ten feet tall. Its aura was...Peak Stage Verth Wielder!

And Emperal had killed it after accidentally bumping into it, the fight had lasted for more than an hour.

And Emperal finally subdued it with the good old Kraeth’sol. The forest around him shifted lightly, making him exhale.

"This...damn forest, there is no way I could survive the deeper parts, much less obtain ’that’"

Emperal spoke inwardly, despite those thoughts, he didn’t overthink.

"I have to find that woman fast, and Infernal Dragon, what the fuck did she mean that she has been searching for me, for the past fifteen hours?"

Emperal couldn’t help but ask, the distortion of time wouldn’t be this abyssal, right?

"You are right, the time here is heavily affected by the presence of the EverHeart. So, don’t judge it by Verandis standards."

Hearing Infernal Dragon’s words, Emperal nodded.

He looked around a few times, sensing that there was no threat. He sheathed his Stormvein on his back.

"I can do nothing but look for her."

Saying that, he started walking deeper into the forest.

"Hmm, this EverHeart realm sure is huge and mysterious."

Emperal muttered that, earlier, through Soleine, he had obtained a rough understanding of this realm.

Even though it changed every time a new batch entered, the core geographical and existential structure remained the same.

It wasn’t overly complicated; the land of this realm was itself divided into three parts. Three heavily unequal parts.

The one Emperal is currently walking in fell under the outer regions, it was a vast wilderness stretched across hundreds of thousands of miles. Making it the biggest source of treasures in the entire realm, at least in quantity.

Fortunately, the roots of EverHeart were buried deep underground, making it possible for a proper habitat to form.

Looking ahead, he saw a high cliff. Without hesitation, he climbed it; it took him a few hours despite his high stamina and speed.

Step. Step.

Walking to the edge, he couldn’t help but admire the beautiful realm. Despite being on a cliff that was at least a dozen miles high. The huge trees still towered over him.

BOOM!!

Just as he was about to lie down to rest for a few minutes, he heard a blast a few dozen miles away from his location.

Though he couldn’t have heard it if it were the previous him. But now, through his advanced senses, he easily pinpointed the location of the blast.

"Hmm? Isn’t that?"

Emperal raised his brows, amused, his pupils dilating slightly. In the distance, an injured Elf was fighting two Dragonkin men simultaneously.

The two were slowly overpowering her, but with her superior cultivation and mysterious abilities. She seemed to hold her ground—albeit barely.

"Thank goodness, I was just about to look for clues about that woman, and here the clue is already in front of me, fighting, heh."

Stretching his hands, he leaped down. With a monstrous fire beneath his soul, he ripped through the air with insane speed.

...

A few dozen miles away from the cliff.

"Huff! Huff!! You arrogant Elf! Quietly hand over that treasure you stole from us!"

One of the Dragonmen barked, flames flickering around him.

"Hmph! Since when did the warriors of Blazefang become so shameless as to rob a woman’s hard-earned treasure?"

Sera snorted, her hands glowing slightly. The Verth gathered around her palm, coating it slightly.

Yes, the subordinate or second-in-command of Dresh. The Verth Shaper, with whom Emperal made a deal, killing Gorven in the process, to obtain the Verth Spring.

Hearing her words, the men frowned. Their pride felt insulted when they heard an elf—a woman no less, speak about their great ’Blazefang’ clan.

"Shut up, lying whore! We both were the ones who spotted it, you were just better at running!"

Another person stepped forward, a huge saber shining in his palms.

Without hesitation, he lunged towards the woman, his speed that of a Stage Two Verth Wielder. This explosive speed could have startled anyone, but the one standing in front of him wasn’t just anyone.

Sera exhaled lightly, her eyes darkened slightly. Raising her hand, she muttered a few words.

Suddenly, a small light flickered around the man’s leg.

"DIE!!!"

The blade arrived in front of her before her technique could even work.

Slash!!

Sera hurriedly stepped back, but the tip of the saber still grazed her collarbone. Inducing a deep cut.

"Tch"

Sera snorted, but the light in her eyes was as strong as ever.

The Dragonkin man, who was about to rush again, suddenly felt the ground beneath him shift.

"Hmm—!!?"

KCHHKHHH!!!

"Araakkk!! NO!!"

The other Dragonkin man shouted in horror, but it was too late. From the ground, a sharp wooden spear ripped through the space and stuck directly at the rear of the man called Arak!

SSSH!!!

The blade pierced through his body, all the way, and came out from his head. Ending his miserable life instantly.

Drip. Drip

The Dragonkin watched in horror as life left his friend’s eyes. He snapped his head towards Sera, who was looking at him coldly.

His eyes reddened further, "You bitch!! You will pay for this!"

Heat poured from his hands. A flaming sword materialized in his grip, and the temperature soared.

It wasn’t the element of the EverHeart realm, but the flame provided by his bloodline. Despite being of a common grade, he was granted a superior flame.

Waving the sword, he dashed towards Sera with intense wildness flickering in his eyes.

"Go to hell!!"

As the distance between them was almost halved, with Sera only being twenty to thirty meters away from him.

He swung his fiery blade in a wide arc!

BOOMM!!!

SSSHHERRRR!!!

A blazing flame arc was formed, heading straight towards Sera!

"Shit, my healing needs a bit of cooldown. If I took a direct hit from that flame, I’d be seriously injured!"

Sera muttered, just as she was about to take out her protective artifact. A brilliant light flashed in her pupils.

SSSSSRRRRRR!!!

SLING!!!
