Chapter 308: Chapter 306: The Plan (1)

The voice of the Heavenly Dao echoed between heaven and earth.

"Good. Go and prepare. I will keep an eye on the movements in the Outer Realms."

As it spoke, the golden cloud in the sky slowly dissipated.

The frozen space returned to normal.

A gentle breeze stirred, and leaves drifted softly to the ground.

In a nearby pond, ripples spread across the water’s surface.

At that moment, Celeste Grant looked at Javier Sinclair and murmured, "Only half a year. We don’t have much time."

He nodded slightly.

Half a year was indeed not a long time. For a Cultivator, it was merely a fleeting moment.

Celeste Grant gripped his wrist. "Our priority right now is to summon all the powers within the Demonic Sects and devise a plan. This world isn’t just home to Cultivators, but also the ordinary people in the Mortal Realm who can’t cultivate. Cultivators can at least protect themselves to some extent, so the most crucial issue is figuring out how to help the mortals survive." After all, ordinary people in the Mortal Realm accounted for over seventy percent of the world’s population; the remainder were Cultivators.

’Honestly, Celeste Grant didn’t know what she could do. But she had to do something. Everyone is equal in the face of disaster; all should contribute their strength rather than being indifferent to life. She might not be a good person, but there were lines she refused to cross.’

With this in mind, Celeste Grant brought her fingers together before her eyes and used the Sound Transmission Technique to call for Elder Lawson and Nerida.

"Elder Lawson, Nerida, come to Cloud Abyss Hall. I have something for you."

Replies quickly came back to her.

"Yes, Madam."

"I’m on my way."

Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant walked to a stone table in the courtyard and sat down. A moment later, Elder Lawson and Nerida appeared in the distance and made their way over.

When they stood before them, they placed a hand on their chest and bowed.

"Your subordinate pays respects to The Exalted One and Madam."

"Greetings, Exalted One. Greetings, Madam."

Elder Lawson spoke up. "May I ask why The Exalted One and Madam have summoned us?"

Nerida also looked at her. "Yes, Madam. What are your orders?"

"I have them." Celeste Grant looked at them and said, "Elder Lawson, send out a notice for all Hall Masters from the Bloodfiend Den’s branches to come to headquarters for a meeting. Also, every elder, protector, and Hall Master at Bloodfiend Den headquarters must attend. Not a single one can be absent. The meeting will be held in the Council Hall tomorrow afternoon."

As soon as she finished speaking, Javier Sinclair, sitting beside her, added, "Also, have the leaders of the other powers in the Demonic Sects come as well."

"Yes!"

The two responded in unison.

Elder Lawson and Nerida could sense that something major was about to happen. After all, their Exalted One was never this serious. At this thought, both of their expressions turned grave.

Elder Lawson responded respectfully, "I will see to it at once."

Nerida, however, asked, "Madam, what do you need me to do?"

Celeste Grant looked at Nerida and said, "Nerida, you’ll stay and assist me."

Seeing they still didn’t know what was happening, Celeste Grant explained, "Here’s the situation. The Heavenly Dao has delivered a prophecy that in half a year, the Cultivation World will face an unprecedented disaster. At that time, this world’s void will be torn open, and an Outer Realms Race will invade. This race feeds on the souls and flesh of Cultivators. In fact, all living creatures in this world are their food—they are utterly savage. If we don’t prepare a response in advance, this world may perish in the cataclysm."

Hearing Celeste Grant’s words, the expressions of Elder Lawson and Nerida changed simultaneously.

Nerida frowned slightly and said, "If that’s the case, we must indeed prepare a response ahead of time."

Elder Lawson said with a grave expression, "We must prepare. Whatever this Outer Realms Race is, if they dare set foot in our territory, we’ll make sure they never return."

’They were Demon Cultivators and didn’t much care for the common people of the world, but the Cultivation World was where they lived. It was their home. If their home was gone, what was the point of distinguishing between the righteous and demonic paths?’

Elder Lawson and Nerida did not doubt Celeste Grant’s words, because the words of The Exalted One and Madam were absolute.

Javier Sinclair raised a hand in a gesture of dismissal.

"Go!"

Elder Lawson bowed his head slightly.

"Your subordinate takes his leave."

After Elder Lawson left, Nina Kaye, who had been standing to the side, pointed at herself. "What about me? Madam, I can help you too."

Hearing her voice, Celeste Grant’s gaze shifted to her. ’Nina Kaye, the personification of the World’s Will, possesses immense Power of Destruction. She’s the pinnacle of combat strength, but her brain and intellect aren’t quite up to snuff. So, for now, I really have no use for her. She’s not needed at the moment.’

At this thought, she smiled faintly and said, "Don’t worry, we won’t forget you. Nina Kaye, your Cultivation is powerful, making you a primary damage dealer. We just don’t need you right now. Your main task is to go into seclusion and cultivate to become even stronger. When the Outer Realms Race arrives, I just need you to slaughter them mercilessly."

’Nina Kaye was the personification of the World’s Will—immortal and indestructible. A ready-made enforcer.’

’Her combat power is on par with Javier Sinclair’s, so she will definitely play a crucial role when the Outer Realms Race invades the Cultivation World. It would be a waste not to use someone with her strength.’

’Thinking about it, she felt that perhaps everything was fated. If Nina hadn’t bound herself to my Primordial Spirit, the World’s Will would have been killed by Javier Sinclair’s Curse Technique and reduced to ashes from the very beginning. If that had happened, this world would be short one powerful fighter when the Outer Realms Race invaded.’

’It seems everything is within the Heavenly Dao’s calculations.’

Nina Kaye was thrilled to hear this, and a smile spread across her face.

’Of course! Madam values me the most. She praised my strength and said she’ll need me often in the future.’

At this thought, Nina Kaye, the World’s Will personified, puffed out her chest, thumped it with a hand, and declared excitedly, "Madam, rest assured! I’ll go into secluded Cultivation within the Space Barrier right now and increase my power. I will never let anyone harm you, Madam!"

Celeste Grant nodded. "Good. Go on."

The moment her words fell, the figure of Nina Kaye, dressed in pink, vanished from the spot.

Nerida stared at the spot where Nina Kaye had disappeared and couldn’t help but ask, "Madam, who is she? I’ve never seen her before. I can’t even sense what her Cultivation level is."

Nina Kaye had only appeared recently, and very few people had met her, so it was no surprise that even Nerida didn’t know her.

Hearing Nerida’s question, Celeste Grant explained, "She is the personification of this World’s Will, and she’s with us now. She’s currently a Guardian Elder of the Bloodfiend Den. For now, she shouldn’t pose any danger. It’s normal that you can’t sense her Cultivation level, because her power is on par with your Exalted One’s."

Nerida was astonished and couldn’t help but exclaim, "She’s that strong? She looks so young."

’Still, having such a powerhouse become a Guardian Elder for the Bloodfiend Den is a good thing, especially with a powerful enemy approaching.’
