Chapter 527: Chapter 527: All the Big Shots Take Action, Aeston Is Stunned!

That day, many things happened in Aeston, stirring up a lot of discussion among the people.

First, both Silas Hawthorne and Julian Lawson, the heads of the Hawthorne Group and The Lawson Corporation, were not present at their companies today.

Moreover, they had both canceled their entire day’s schedules.

For these two, although there was some gossip, since today marked a year of Serena’s coma, as well as a year since her wedding with Silas Hawthorne, everyone knew they were visiting Serena.

But subsequently, many more things happened.

The events occurred in the afternoon.

At Ford Entertainment, a meeting was in progress when Jasper Ford suddenly received a call and immediately left everyone to rush out.

The various artists exchanged confused glances.

"What’s going on?"

"Did something happen?"

"I have no idea."

As the speculation continued, the secretary came by after a while to inform everyone that Jasper Ford had canceled the day’s schedule, directly dismissing the meeting.

The confusion was rampant, and people thought something might have happened to Gigi Sutton, only to find out that Jasper also picked up Gigi Sutton on his way out, but no one knew what for.

At The Lawson Corporation, Isla Lawson was assigning tasks when she too received a call and left her subordinates in charge, disappearing without a trace.

The same happened at the Hawthorne Group.

The ever-dedicated June Hawthorne, known for her hardworking nature, received a call and left everything behind, driving off to an unknown location.

Orion Hawthorne was the same, running off while reviewing the latest design for the Big Orange merchandise at the office.

Others, like those from Aether and the Jennings Family’s new startup, also saw many of their leaders canceling schedules without explanation.

The younger members of the Quentin and Lloyd Families also suddenly vanished.

Most notably, a helicopter landed in Aeston later that day.

It was a last-minute flight route application, rushing in from Hespera.

Emerging from the helicopter was Xander Linton, the internationally renowned head of the Linton Family.

All these occurrences formed major news.

What could have prompted all these influential individuals to suddenly mobilize?

Moreover, almost simultaneously.

Involving Aeston’s three major conglomerates and several significant corporate heads, discussions were rampant online at this moment.

Just as the curiosity peaked, more commotion ensued.

Apparently, many elder statesmen from numerous families suddenly convened an online meeting, with some leaving their old residences or companies, traveling to unknown destinations.

Though many of these elders had stepped back, letting the younger generation manage company affairs, any movement they made still shook all of Aeston.

All of this sparked a lot of conversation.

"What on earth happened?"

"It feels like Aeston was suddenly turned upside down in a moment!"

"Right, everyone is moving all at once, what’s the reason behind it? I’m so curious!"

...

And all the people involved in these discussions were now at the hospital.

After everyone witnessed Serena opening her eyes, they all gathered in the hospital’s lounge.

Each person was visibly excited.

"Serena really woke up! I thought it was just my imagination!"

"This is wonderful; after waiting for so long, there’s finally a result!"

"Yes, once Serena recovers completely, I definitely want to take her out to have some fun!"

"Should we have a gathering tonight? I’ll go book a restaurant right now!" Jasper Ford eagerly proposed.

"Let’s wait for confirmation on Serena’s condition before we decide." Bianca Lynch opposed with a shake of her head.

"Alright!" Jasper Ford nodded happily, not upset.

Seraphina had been bouncing around for a long time here.

She kept jumping and shouting excitedly, "Mommy’s awake, Mommy’s awake."

Meanwhile, Clara Huxley and Sheila Jenkins held each other’s hands tightly, eyes brimming with tears.

"Silas has waited so long, now he’s finally got there." Jasper Ford said, "Seeing him was heartbreaking during these past days."

Silas Hawthorne was still in the ward, closing the door as he exited.

Seeing the people in the lounge, he nodded and smiled.

Everyone was filled with mixed emotions.

Silas Hawthorne’s gaze swept over everyone, finally resting on Julian Lawson, who remained silent.

The group observed the two, falling into silence.

Eventually, Xander Linton exchanged a look with Jasper Ford, and they seemed to understand, prompting Jasper Ford to lead everyone to Bianca Lynch’s side to make further plans.

This left only Silas Hawthorne and Julian Lawson.

The two remained silent for a long time.

Eventually, it was Silas Hawthorne who spoke.

"What are your plans?" Silas Hawthorne asked.

Julian Lawson looked at the white wall beside him.

"I don’t know." he said.

Silas Hawthorne sat on a chair to the side, not looking at Julian Lawson, speaking on his own accord: "I heard about what happened at your apartment last night."

Julian Lawson nodded.

They remained silent.

After what felt like an eternity, Julian Lawson spoke.

"Once her condition stabilizes a bit, I..." Julian paused briefly, then continued, "I want to talk to her alone."

Silas Hawthorne looked at Julian Lawson, who was also looking at him, their gazes meeting.

"I’ll ask her opinion." Silas Hawthorne said.

Julian Lawson slowly clenched his hand.

Eventually, he nodded and said, "Alright."

Silence hung over them once more.

After about five minutes, Julian Lawson maneuvered his wheelchair and left.

Silas Hawthorne watched his departing figure, lost in thought.

The lounge buzzed with activity once more.

Everyone returned.

They all waited together, waiting for a long time.

The sun slowly set, casting an orange hue in the evening sky.

A few small birds fluttered by the window, leaving behind their chirping sounds.

The wind gently rustled the branches outside the window, casting swaying shadows.

When Serena opened her eyes again, this is what she saw.

In the sunlit hospital room, Silas Hawthorne was holding Seraphina and reading a book.

She slightly moved, and Silas Hawthorne immediately turned, looking at her.

Then, he smiled.

"Serena, you’re awake." he said softly, his voice gentle.

Seraphina also popped her head over, smiling sweetly at her.

"Mommy!" Seraphina chirped brightly.

Serena blinked, looking at the two of them, and smiled slightly.

"Mm." She made a soft sound.

She looked at them, her eyes filled with warmth and joy.

Not far outside the door, Sheila Jenkins and Clara Huxley were watching something, whispering.

She could also hear Bianca Lynch’s exuberant voice and Jasper Ford saying something in the background.

Everyone was around her.

Warmth and happiness.
